as a regular donor to Gaza Soup Kitchen I get their email updates, and they said today that while they've continued to be able to expand, donations are slowing down as Gaza gets less coverage. If you have a few dollars to spare, I encourage you to send them here to continue the amazing work that Hani and his team are doing.

omw to finish ticket to heaven now that I know how it ends
Two things from the Wu finale that completely changes the whole series (and enriches the rewatch) for me:
Niran hitting that guy's acupoints and immediately incapacitating him - We've never actually seen Niran against a human this entire time. We know he's been on his own fighting yao for a long time, and we know those come from discontent and desperation, which means he's good enough to fight angry goons alone. (I wonder if the plan for the casino was to bet and get the yao angry enough to come out, fight some goons, and then seal it. It's not like he expected to see Pete there.) (Also. More importantly to me. Niran never even tried to incapacitate monkey-demon-mode Pete when he got out...?)
Niran's grandpa giving him the jade necklace, and them having a conversation about it being passed down generations and how Niran will find out what it can do in the future - It was already pretty clear that this is the kind of jewelry you give for your child's future wedding but it's nice to have a confirmation. More importantly!! Does this mean the jade necklace reacted to Pete? Did Niran focus on Pete in the casino as soon as he saw him because he felt something? That thing keeps on glowing around Pete! Was it even able to fight off yao before Niran met Pete? In the first episode, we saw it protect them both from the rich man's yao, and we all assumed it was part of Niran's arsenal of powers, but we've never seen that thing glow when Niran is alone???
stealing this for tumblr - y'all know what to do
i keep seeing misinformation about this, so: queerplatonic relationships do not have a set definition. the name comes from the idea that it's "queering" the platonic relationship, tailoring it to the individual relationships' own desires. it isn't necessarily romance lite, but it also isn't necessarily whatever definition you want to impose on it. the point of queering the platonic relationship is to break away from strict allonormative views on friendship, romance, and sex, not to make a new categorical box to fit in.
the answer to "what is a qpr?" is "whatever you want it to be." sometimes that is romance lite. sometimes it's a deeply committed friendship. sometimes it's friends who have a sexual relationship. sometimes it's based on an entirely different mode of attraction. sometimes it's fluid and impossible to put into words. it's whatever you want it to be. it's queer.
a gorgeous person next to a gorgeous person next to a gorgeous person because quite literally they are a family of gorgeous people (plus acare and dr palang) i love this photo a lot
people misunderstand summer enjoyers it’s not about the heat it’s about the fact that it isn’t getting dark at 4 pm
okay. so my heart feels full. godji said that she was only supposed to host for the fan party yesterday. however, sky had asked her if she wanted to sing together and godji was hesitant at first by saying that she isnt good at it, better stick with hosting instead.
but then she said that sky started sulking, told her that since they are already there, why not have fun altogether? she said that sky really encouraged her a lot. sky even sent her a video of nani where nani had encouraged her too (god they are so sweet) 🥹
i mean. this is so heartwarming. we have become so used to saying that sky and godji's sibling relationship had really extended outside their characters niran and fei to real life. but then, hearing such an episode from godji really solidified her sibling relationship with sky. it solidified that its not just a goofy sibling relationship, but encouraging one too.
im so happy that they all got to perform together last night and that godji wasnt left backstage to wait for her cue to host. because she was also there to perform with the rest of the cast.
im so happy that shes happy after having to perform on stage too.

This half man show… is it queer bait or should I watch it?
queerbaiting is the least of your worries
[about to be dropped into the shark tank] hey is the water cold?
y'know what, I can always circle this weird phenomenon back to the depth of trauma that Supernatural girlies haven't quite processed to this day and how it led to people using a word that came from critical analysis of western 2000s media and turning it into a virtue signaling tool to vent overall frustration with any media or real-life person that deviates from expectations of what queer looks like. god forbids said queerness isn't the "good kind" (simple to understand, beauty-standard-adhering and comfortable in its predictability).
Maybe the reason I agreed to come back was because I have you who truly believes in me.

"Some people think the path heaven chooses for them is too grand to turn down. Some get bored and abandon their way. Some stick to their path, unmoving. Whatever their path is, vast or narrow, only we know where to go."
WU | EP9
in the last scene of the final episode of wu, shown on the last day of pride, we see that it was always about niran finding pete and what they would become to each other
the demon and political stuff was just what happened to be going on when niran found his soulmate and began their bond
like i've said before, this was always a love story, and them not having sex or being traditionally romantic does nothing to diminish that. if anything, it proves how strong it really is
Let’s get back to dressing your wounds. No, no, no. That’s enough. It hurts.
