A small gloved hand lands heavily on Cameron's shoulder from behind. "Excuse me. I believe you might be... lost."

   Startled by the sudden contact, he quickly turned his gaze toward the oddly dressed girl. What was she wearing? “L-lost? Wha– no I..” he fumbled, catching himself staring instead of answering the question like a normal human being.. “Ah, I mean, no I’m not lost, what makes you ask that?”

Really, the aqua seemed like a kid, just meandering through the nature and being captivated by the pokemon that he noticed. It took a moment for the Magma grunt to figure out how to respond to such an innocent answer. “Uh… No, you are actually headed upriver, and all that is in that direction is the mountains and a volcano… and a group of people who would rather be left alone. Something about geology and not wanting thier specimens stepped on or having the area disturbed by those who dont know what to look for.” She shrugged, indicting she didnt care either way. “Either way, youd have to turn around and follow the stream in the other direction to see people again. Or just head east for a bit and you’ll hit one of the more noticeable trainer paths back to town.”

Her Heliolisk decided to show up, poking her nose out from the rock she had been basking on, to check out who Kara was talking to. Aqua meant bad, right? The little lizard pokemon immediately tensed up, waiting for a possible command to attack.

“Ah dammit.” He sighed, snappng his fingers in defeat. “I have a really bad sense of direction, really, sorry.” A small laugh followed his words. “Maybe I should just do the opposite of what my intuition tells me, huh? Thanks for the directions!” 

Cameron tilted his head, trying to make out which way was east, making a mental map in his head, not that he had the best memory either. Regardless his attention was taken as he spotted the lizard like pokemon  bristling up for an attack. Ohhh shiiit. “Hey, watch out.” He warned the girl, motioning a hand toward the pokemon behind them.

wandering over

Well this was interesting. A small smirk played on Kara’s face, a bit off from her normal friendly expression. A little Aqua grunt was wandering in her section of the area, and rather cluelessly and not sneaky like those of his team. 

In fact -she noted with a canine like head tilt- the grunt was more intent on checking out the area near her stream, and seemed… well… how her brother was about being on Aqua. More interested in the water than the affiliation.

A sigh, and she hopped down, uniform fluttering behind her. She never knew what an interaction with an Aqua member would be like. Some were civil, some friendly.. and some downright nasty. 

A small friendly smile, it not quite reaching her eyes, and she approached. “Hey there! You lost?”

    Cam stepped alongside the river, watching his own feet crunch against the grass. He’d been particularly focused on the sound it made for whatever reason, but nature was always something he’d been particularly fond of. Immersing himself in his surroundings was always a habit of his that often lead to not so pleasant outcomes. He were just too distracted and could never keep a simple objective on task. 

Even now, he hadn’t noticed the transition from plant life, to the stream beside him. Were those barboach? Kneeling down, he stuck his hand in the water just above a small school that darted by. Interesting little buggers, the way the whipped around him and swam away. Easily the pokemon put a smile on hiss face, but just a moments passing forced him to nearly jumping out of his skin when the girl spoke. “Woah! Sorry.” He laughed awkwardly, turning to face the girl, taking note of the bizarre uniform she’d been wearing. “Ah-- no,” or was he? “I was just following the stream. Figured it’d lead me to a town eventually,  but really, I’m not worried about it too much” Nervously scratching the back of his head with a small tilt. "Why? Am I going the wrong way?”

     Nestled in comfortably in his office at Hoenn TV, Archie spun a pen in his fingers. Eyes fixated on a small stack of papers. As if he didn’t have enough work to do back at base, but this was all for his team. Drifting attention toward Team Magma kept authorities off of Aqua’s back, at least for the time being. The longer he could hold them off, the better.      A small rap at the door frame dragged him from his thoughts, lifting a glance up to the boy; presumably lost. The blonde wasn’t a face he’d seen around the office, and his body language confirmed his suspicion. A hand rose motioning him to enter so he didn’t stand there awkwardly and draw attention to his office.

    “Come in, close th’door.” The pen was set down and fingers laced together atop the table, a brow raising at him, “You lost, kid?”

   Down the hall, up the stairs, take a right.. or a left?  Left. And the second door to the right, or maybe it’s the left. Maybe he should have gone down the other hall. Ahh, why was this place so big? The blond fidgeted, uncertain if the door he’d been standing in front of was the proper one, or if the man inside could help at all. When motioned in, he lit up, opening the door just as quickly as he shut it. 

“O-oh no! Well, sort of..” Cameron stammered, trying to recollect his composure. Man, he wasn’t the best talker. The building was just so unbelievably huge, and the lady downstairs wasn’t very good at telling directions either, or maybe he just wasn’t good at following them. Ah, whatever the case, it didn’t matter at this point. “ I’m here for a job application. I take it this isn’t the right room then?”
