goodbye, my almost lover; {listen}
for the half of your otp who stayed and the other half who left.
i. panic cord “This meant more to you than it did to me. I was full of doubt and you believed”
ii. harbour lights “You and I know I had to leave. And the harbour lights, I cannot see. But you were my rock never my stepping stone.”
iii. gravity “Set me free, Leave me be. I don’t wanna fall another moment into your gravity“
iv. paper doll “Cut the cord and pull some strings and make yourself some angel wings. And if those angel wings don’t fly, someone’s gonna paint you another sky”
v. someone like you “Nevermind, I’ll find someone like you. I wish nothing but the best for you too.”
vii. all you had to do was stay “I’ve been picking up the pieces of the mess you made. People like you always want back the love they pushed aside, but people like me are gone forever when you say goodbye”
vii. statues “Cause you’re the one to leave, now I’m falling asleep. You’re like the broken keys, whilst I’m just a broken home. Cause as I breathe in deep. You’re looking at me like a statue”
viii. if this was a movie “Come back, come back, come back to me like you would, you would if this was a movie. Stand in the rain outside ‘til I came out “
ix. phone call “But a phone call is too far away, and if it was love, it would have made you stay”
x. stay with me “Oh, won’t you stay with me? 'Cause you’re all I need. This ain’t love, it’s clear to see, but darling, stay with me”
xi. skinny love “And in the morning I’ll be with you, but it will be a different kind.‘Cause I’ll be holding all the tickets, and you’ll be owning all the fines.”
xii. almost lover “I never want to see you unhappy. I thought you’d want the same for me. Goodbye, my almost lover, goodbye, my hopeless dream. I’m trying not to think about you, can’t you just let me be?

He raised an eyebrow, turning towards her. “Why not? Did you eat already? Hmm, did you?” Pietro spoke right through the opening scene, albeit, quietly, but it was incessant, especially at his speed. “Well what is the point of watching this if I know what is going to happen at the end, hm? This old woman, she is the one who lives da, and her partner dies, so that is the end. I do not need to watch the middle.” Then he fell silent, letting her watch as he shovelled handfuls of popcorn into his mouth. Half the bowl was gone in a matter of seconds. Maybe it was because it was Valentine’s Day, or maybe he was more polite to females than otherwise, or maybe he didn’t mind Rosă as much as he claimed to, but Pietro felt the need to apologise for his eating habits. She had made the popcorn, after all. “Scuze, Rosă. I am always hungry.”
And just like that, Rose was irritated again. She had half a mind to tell him to leave if he didn’t want to watch it that badly, but she wasn’t really in the mood to be alone. He’d quieted down pretty soon after, anyways - maybe if he’d kept talking, she would’ve snapped.
Admittedly though, she was surprised at his apology. She hadn’t really taken him for the type of guy to say sorry for anything.
“Don’t worry about it, dude. It’s there to eat.” She side-eyed the now more considerably empty popcorn bowl for a second, before reaching in herself and taking a fistful. Another few moments passed in silence, her gaze returning to the television. “Why are you here, anyways?”
I never thought I would become that person who loves working out. It sucks while you’re doing it, but the second you finish, it’s like, ‘Wow, I feel great! I’m stronger and much more confident.’
“What exactly are we going to be doing in the Capitol, anyways? I don’t really think sitting around on our asses while we play Coin’s fiddle for her is the best solution.”
“I don’t want to be sucked into another one of her Games.”
