A little introduction post

Hey y'all! You can call me Tash ^^

I recently came back to tumblr after deleting my og blog (which I had from like 2012 to 2019). I was very active in the queer community back then (specifically in genderfluid and aromantic spaces). I had no idea queer/lgbtq+ tumblr had become so *gestures at all the hate and infighting*

Anyhow, nice to be back and hopefully make new neat and nice connections ^^

You can expect lots of queer positivity, talks about complex identities and also some queer history and theory. I'm also documenting the whole process of getting on T and then the changes that happen as they come. You can find those posts under #transition things and #hrt:t

Anyone who isn't a queerphobe, terf, radfem, racist, misogynist, zionist, or some flavor of bigot is welcome!

You claim your ideology is about protecting women and children but what it actually necessitates is an overfixation on people's genitals and the persecution of a minority group that does not actually hold institutional power. The London Marathon allows runners to self-identify their gender, although the elite, championship, and “good for age” women’s races only accept cisgender entrants. Because runners not applying for competitive categories are allowed to self-identify, Brasher said that it would be impossible to know exactly how many trans athletes are set to compete in this year’s marathon, which takes place on Sunday, April 27.

1. She wasn’t even competing in the “elite” races that ‘matter’, simply participating

2. People of all genders run alongside one another (its the fuckin city marathon) so there is a sizable number of cis men she competed with, the same as any cis woman

3. Whether she placed first or last or somewhere in between it doesn’t matter, and I hope people are not basing their support for her on whether she humbly lost enough and therefore doesn’t *really* “threaten” cis women athletes

4. HA! Fuck you, transphobes, the marathon doesn’t care about the SC ruling and you will never know how many trans people compete next to you*:

Intersex trending?

• Friendly reminder bæddel, hermaphrodite, & futa are all slurs no matter the context.

• Intersex doesn't mean having a penis and vagina/cosexual/bigenital.

• When trans people go on about how "cis people get gender affirming care" "cis people get puberty blockers/hormones" etc, you are talking about intersex people. And most of the time we don't have the autonomy granted to us to choose. The same system oppresses us and forces us into the status quo. The only difference is for intersex people they are medically forced into one sex category, for the peritrans they are denied medical things to keep them in society's binaries. It's a lack of autonomy.

• IGM (intersex genital mutilation) is when doctors decide to genitally change intersex babies. These surgeries are only cosmetic, meaning the doctors do not care about how it functions, just the look.

• Every single anti trans law has made an exception for intersex people so they can continue oppressing us.

• Lying about being intersex doesn't make you safer. You as a trans dude lying about having gynemastica isn't making you safer. Intersex people are treated just as badly.

• Intersex people are still raped & mutilated by the medical system (yes even in '1st world' countries) and it's common practice.

• A species cannot be "all intersex", as being intersex refers to variations in ones sex.

• Whenever you see a "nonbinary" animal, it's usually just an intersex animal.

• Intersex people are not assigned "intersex" at birth, We usually still have AGABs, as AGAB was original used by doctors to refer to us. Additionally, an intersex person may be reassigned throughout life.

• SIG refers to socially imposed gender, for many intersex people they have an inconsistent socially imposed gender.

the problem with being an intersex nonbinary person is that you have experienced both uniquely transmasc and transfem things, but because you are neither you can join neither conversation without being told “you’re afab you can’t have experienced this!” or “you’ve not medically transitioned so this can’t happen to you!”

intersex trans people exist. intersex nonbinary people exist. regardless of what our “agab” is, or whether we’ve taken hormones or not, we have experiences that need to be included in your conversations. by gatekeeping these conversations you’re leaving vital voices out of the narrative.

I think one of the reasons drag kings aren’t as popular as drag queens, aside from the fact that straight women don’t like us, is that people are uncomfortable acknowledging masculinity as a performance. Like we as a society know that femininity is a performance, with its own costumes and rules. Masculinity is also a performance, and nothing makes that more clear than someone making an exaggeration of it

Love nonbinary people forever, regardless of how they look, how they present, what pronouns do they look or whether they want to pursue medical transition or not. An AMAB nb person has a beard and looks like a bear? Good for them. An AFAB agender person is breasting boobily down the stairs? Good for them! A genderflux person decides to pursue medical transition and still be genderflux? Fantastic stuff imo. A nonbinary person does not want to disclose their ASAB? Also great! Again, love nonbinary people forever, unconditionally so.
