I stayed up late to listen to the Jinx album by Waterparks because it’s been a rough week (emotionally), and it was something to look forward too. Listened in the dark and with my headphones on. fun production, variety of feelings expressed, and good instrumentals. Once we got to Mirage, Sobbed so hard. It hit a feeling I’ve been experiencing. Then bam Tastes Like Tangerines that’s feels made for a fun 8 bit style game and mallet percussion in Any Minute Now which I’m a sucker for (as a former mallet percussionist). All just for more sobbing when Girls Need Guns played. It hits different than Mirage as it feels more like shining a light which makes one cry in a different way. In a way that makes you feel seen. That’s just my thoughts.

This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.

OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.

And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
