Virgin River is not the show I thought it was going to be.
A nap would truly be lovely.
There’s a big difference in people truly caring about you and just wanting to know your business.
What are the Symptoms of Social Anxiety?
- Dreading going out, especially to social events.
- Feeling uncomfortable in large groups of people.
- Hating meeting new people.
- Feeling as if everyone is watching you.
- Feeling as if everyone is judging you.
- Being terrified of speaking to people.
- Finding it hard to make friends.
- Feeling you would rather be by at home by yourself.
- Often feeling alone and lonely.
- Generally staying quiet and hiding your real thoughts and feelings.
- Feeling ashamed or scared of asking for help.
- Feeling as if you don’t belong or fit in.
It’s so nice to hear people I work with tell me I deserve a raise because I catch the mistakes that people who make three times the money I do and who’s literal job was to proof read the reports didn’t get.
Now if only I could get a raise.
I know it’s only 8 but let’s just go ahead and list this day as a hard one.
Lt. Col. Robert Lee Wolverton, CO 3rd Btn., 506 PIR, 101st Airborne (KIA June 6, 1944) and 1/Lt. Alex Bobuck jumpmaster of Stick#1 (POW June 6 until June 8, 1944). Col. Wolverton is checking the kit of 1/Lt. Bobuck as part of events staged on the afternoon of Sunday June 4, 1944 for filming by the Signal Corps at Exeter airfield.
The aircraft is a Douglas C-47 #43-15087 “Lady Lillian”, Stick#2, piloted by Capt. Matt J. Luoma of the 95th Troop Carrier Squadron, 440th Troop Carrier Group.
A cruel twist of fate meant Lt/ Col Wolverton’s feet never touched French soil.
The commanding officer of 3rd Bn 506th PIR, was killed suspended by his parachute from an apple tree in an orchard just north of the hamlet of St Côme du Mont.
On D-Day 1/Lt Alex Bobuck was the first one to jump off Lt. Col. Wolverton’s plane but was captured when he landed on a German Command Post roof, he was liberated on June 8 by the advancing forces on St.Come-du-Mont. © IWM (UPL 28450)
Look, I’m not a parent, so maybe I lack perspective, but is your child “finishing” pre-k really such a big deal that it merits a fb post about how proud of them you are? It’s pre-k.
I didn’t even get a card when I graduated from Engineering School from one of my parents!
Well, to be fair, after Pre-K, everything else is pretty easy.
I think it’s important to differentiate between “parental pride” and “overwhelming relief”.
My kid’s preschool has a graduation ceremony where they all wear tiny caps and gowns. It’s absolutely batshit out of control excessive.
When you have a child who had such a hard year that he was almost kicked out of the preK program, you abso-fucking-lutely celebrate 💁🏻♀️
I don’t see it being something that is necessary but a really sweet moment. Years later when they graduate from high school and it is a big deal, all the mommas are gonna still be picturing them in that preschool cap and gown.

$50,000 immediately dropped into my bank account wouldn't improve EVERYTHING but boy it sure would be a grand, sexy little start to a good, happy life path, don't you think
