Honestly I hate to make this post but I feel like I should since I've seen her in the d8020 tag. The user @/theprismapixels is someone I used to know a couple years ago. I don't want to get into it but I'm aware that she has a history of being transphobic and interacting very inappropriately with minors. (Sexually as well as suicide baiting as emotional manipulation)

Hate that House of Ashes is actually a REALLY good critique of the US Military in the Iraq war, Like. Starting the game with Ashley Tisdale being like “Hey this is white phosphorus which is a fucking war crime?” And all the marines are like “Yeah but they’re Arab so it doesn’t matter” and there genuinely being no consequences for using it? The Marine Corps machinery grinding on, without any semblance of care for the destruction they cause. The destruction of a historical Sumerian site because fuck em. Jason just deadass looking at the camera and being like “I want to kill as many brown people as possible because of 9/11”. Salim is a fucking badass throughout the entire game, a paragon of kindness and strength. He’s a man fighting for his family, he’s a man fighting for his home, and that’s what allows him to connect with the Marines. And in the end, when they’re rescued, it doesn’t even fucking matter. It doesn’t matter that he is a good, kind, remarkable person. The machinery chews him up anyway. Prisoner of war, semper fucking fi.
