"Big Bro isn't here right now, no... Did you need him for something?"

A new neighbor!

"Hmmm?" Padraig stopped as he thought he heard footsteps. He turned but he saw nothing. He shrugged his shoulders and headed back inside his home closing the door behind him.

Well, she wasn't going to sneak into his house, but she could peek through the window. She poked her head over the sill, peering in with her eyes squinted.

A new neighbor!

Padraig stepped out of his new home and looked around to make sure no one was looking. He then reached into the van and pulled out a whole couch and carried it into the house himself. He came in and out putting things into his new home. Once he was finished, he patted the side of the van letting the driver know he could leave.

Her eyes widened as she saw him carrying all that stuff by himself. Even Dad needed help carrying things like that...

She watched and kept herself hidden, then noticed the newcomer gesturing at the driver. Oh, crap, her cover was about to be blown, wasn't it?

She checked to make sure their new neighbor wasn't watching before she dove out, scrambling to find a hiding place before he turned around again.

Nanako tied the last ribbon in place and took her talking magnifying glass off her dresser, pressing the "talk" button a few times before she heard the phrase she was looking for.

"We're on the case!"

She headed next door, ducking around the moving van and peeking under it to investigate the newcomers. She narrowed her eyes in thought, humming to herself.

"Nanako, would you try my cooking?"

"Sure, I can try some! What did you make?"

"Of course. It will have to be simple things until you get a bit older, but there are some dishes other then eggs and toast you can make for breakfast I’m sure." He said with a reassuring nod. He didn’t want to deter his cousin from wanting to learn. But he also wouldn’t teach her anything that she wasn’t old enough for yet, being that he didn’t want Dojima scolding him for letting Nanako use potentially dangerous appliances. 

After another bite of soup, he kept on talking, a bit distracted now. “Baking is easy enough if you’re being supervised, so maybe we can bake together as well?”

"That sounds good to me!" she said excitedly. Mostly, she was just glad he liked what she had made.

She sipped a few more spoonfuls before Souji spoke again, and her eyes widened, practically sparkling with glee. "Baking?" she asked. "Like cookies and pastries? Oh, can we use cookie cutters and make pretty shapes?"

i'ma get on tomorrow, week's kinda been a long one so i've mostly just been on my oc blog

He held out his arm, looking at what she’d written on it, before laughing quietly. And then he scribbled a small message on her hand, similar to the ‘big bro’ written on his arm, but instead with ‘Lil Sis’ and accompanied by a small cat emote.

She giggled as she sounded out the words, throwing her arms around his legs. "It's really cute, Big Brother! I love it!"

She sounded out the words slowly and then, once she'd figured it out, grinned up at him.

"Thank you, Yosuke-onii-chan!"

"Ooh, I love that trick, too! A great magician always has a spare hand for requests!" Trucy whipped out a red-wreathed deck, whose hue matched her cape. "Pick any card, Nanako! I’ll get it on the first try!"

"Okay!" She grinned happily and took a card at random; the three of diamonds. She pantomimed zipping her lips and handed it back face-down. "Like that?"
