Hi there! Thanks for visiting my channel! I am a DIY-er. I love creating home decor and fashion items. I especially love to hack Ikea products. I created this channel to share my creations with the world and to meet some like-minded people who also love to do what I do. I have a floofy tuxedo cat who makes a guest appearance in nearly every video. Her name is Scout. I do my best to put out a video every week, if not every other week, so there's frequently something new here.Ā "We're not a large house, but we are a proud one..." - Lyanna Mormont

Hey all! So for Valentine's Day this year, I gifted my husband an escape room in a box. We LOVE doing escape rooms together and have done about 50 rooms all over the country. So I pulled inspiration from some escape rooms that we've done (and came up with some unique puzzles on my own!!) and created an escape room box with cool puzzles that he had to complete in order to get to his Valentine's Day gift.Ā
Here's the puzzles I did:Ā
1. Scratcher card inspired hearts reveal "When is Valentine's Day" to open code "214" to get inside the box. Clue: "We're just scratching the surface."Ā
2. Homemade bath bomb with key inside. He had to soak the bath bomb to reveal a key to a keyed lock. Clue: "What would a good soak do?"
3. Wooden letter beads strung together. Had to organize them to reveal a hidden message which read "The answer is the opposite of fall". Answer was "RISE" for a 4 code letter lock. Clue: "Can you get the message?"
4. Scented candles. He had to smell them to figure out what scents they were and write them down on the color coded card. Then decode chosen letters into a combination lock code. Clue: " Can you smell success?"
5. Word search puzzle revealed three numbers spelled out to open a 3 code number lock. Did have to give a hint saying the numbers would be in numerical order to open the lock. Clue: "Time to search!"Ā
Ā I really hope you all enjoyed this video. I had a blast making this for my husband and even more fun watching him try to figure out all of the puzzles.Ā
Can your cat do a cool trick? I wanna know about it!

How I Made Custom Halloween Decor | Laser Cut Decorations šš»
Wow, I LOVE Halloween! The candy, the fun decor, all of the purple, orange and green. What is not to love?! I had so much fun making these custom Halloween signs for my front yard and I seriously love how they turned out. I used an industrial laser cutter to create these. If youāre wondering how I have access to an industrial laser cutter, well I actually have a membership to a makersā space that allows me to use their laser cutters whenever I want! How cool is that?
Anyway, watch the video to follow along with me as I make some custom laser cut Halloween decor for my front yard!Ā
Supplies:
- 1/4" thick MDF cut to the size of your laser bed
- Acrylic paint in various colors (I used black, white, purple, green, orange and a little brown)
- Gloss clear coat spray finish
- Optional: Garden stakes & wood glueĀ
Important things to note if you tackle this on your own:
1. You'll definitely want to coat the finished painted signs with a spray clear gloss finish to protect the acrylic and the MDF.
2. Even though you've put a protective finish on these, if it's looking like it's going to rain, bring your signs inside! MDF and acrylic paint don't do well with water. Best not to rely solely on the gloss finish to protect these.
3. If you want to stake them in the ground, Titebond 2 wood glue works great, just glue the wooden stake to the back of the sign.Ā

DIY: Fall Floral Pumpkins | Learn how to make these insanely cute floral pumpkins. Perfect for fall decor! š¹šš»
Who else is SO ready for fall this year? We had a record breaking summer in Arizona this year so that could be why everyone is ready for fall. With cooler weather finally around the corner, I thought these floral pumpkins would be a great way to kick off the new season. Iām absolutely OBSESSED with these and while I did mini pumpkins, I think a larger sized pumpkin would be absolutely gorgeous too.Ā
Check out the video to see how I made them!
Supplies:
- Faux pumpkins
- Faux flowers
- Spray paint (optional)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Wire cutters or Scissors
How to:
1. Spray paint any flowers that you would like to change color. Let dry.
2. Prep all flowers by trimming off stems and foliage.

DIY: Stone Mermaid Crown | Learn how to make this crown use wire jewelry techniques! š
I have a confession... I love mermaids!! Theyāre so glam. They have long beautiful hair, sparkly skin and multi-chromatic tails. What is not to love about all of that? This crown was inspired by mermaids and festival fashion. I used natural colored stones and copper wire to make this gorgeous stone crown fit for a mermaid queen!

Supplies:
- 20 gauge German wire
- 24 gauge German wire
- Beads
- Suede Cordage
- Spare string measured to the circumference of your head.
- Needle nose pliers
- Wire cutters
How To:
1. Trim the spare string that is the circumference of your head by 2-3 inches.
2. Use that string to measure 3 lengths of your thicker wire.
3. Create loops at the end of each of those cut wires using your needle nose pliers.
4. Thread about 1 foot of suede cordage through those loops on each end of your wires.
5. Lay out your tentative bead design.
6. Starting in the center of your crown, wrap your thinner wire 3-4 times around the crown base. Thread your bead onto that wire and secure by wrapping the base on the opposite side of the bead. Continue wrapping that bead until it's secured.
7. Using the above method to attach your baeds, work your way outwards around the crown using as many beads as desired.
8. Play around with different wrapping techniques to create variety around the crown.
DIY: Cactus String Art | Easy Dorm Decor Idea šµšµ
If you canāt already tell, I love cacti! Sure IRL they can totally prick you and stuff but pretty much any other iteration of cacti is adorable! Being from the the only state with saguaro cacti, I thought this cactus string art project was the appropriate decor for my Arizona home. This would also make a great gift and you can use this same technique for nearly any other design.
How to:
1. OPTIONAL STEP: Prep block of wood by sanding smooth and coat with clear gloss spray. Let dry.
2. Tape cactus template to block of wood.
3. Mark dots along template about every 1/2".
4. Begin hammering nails into dots all along cactus outline.
5. After all nails are in place, peel off template.
6. Tie end of string onto one nail towards the base.
7. Begin weaving string all along nails, making sure not to cross too much distance at once.
8. When complete, tie off string and trim off any string "tails".
DIY: LED Light Boxes | Cool home decor idea and perfect for Halloween too! šš”

2. Transfer vinyl onto the glass front of your shadow box. Set aside.

Thereās something so fun about tassels. They flow and move and are just SO CUTE! Well, I saw an adorable wall hanging from Forever 21 but it was super tiny so I decided to create my own version thatās much much larger! The end result was so awesome.Ā

1. Measure and mark lines on wooden dowel from the 3" mark at every inch all the way to the 15" mark.
2. Drill through those marks creating 13 holes in the wooden dowel.

8. Place jute tails around the wooden dowel near each end. Tie knot on the underside of the dowel to secure in place. Wrap cord around dowel to desired effect and knot off. Secure with dab of super glue.
9. Tie tassels onto end of the strings hanging down the middle of the dowel.
10. Trim anything as needed.
