Do you like men?
No but I'm attracted to them anyway
from now on we’re calling all the stem folk ‘students of the unhallowed arts’, just like mary shelley wanted us to do

I love Mando's vibe. Imagine some guy rolling up to your shop in a beat up honda civic. He steps out wearing an armani suit. He opens his wallet and offers you two dollars to fix his car.
You tell him it isn't enough but you'll fix it if he does the most dangerous thing you can think of. He brings his toddler to do the job.
am i currently ensconced in a ballgown, a delicately gilded and long knife strapped to my thigh, the candlelight catching the my eyes across a dinner table as the castle lady’s heart flutters inexplicably, her mind suddenly wandering to beds and gloves and long teeth? no? then no, this email does not find me well, thank u for asking
Me, aged 14, reading Tolkien: Hobbits are considered chuldren until they are 30? How funky! Fantasy worldbuilding! This is so different from us humans!
Me, aged 25: Oh i get it now

I wish everyone would admit that classic literature is inherently difficult to read, and that you shouldn’t feel stupid if you don’t “get it”. Especially the dark academia/ classic lit fandoms and stuff. Like unless you have the vocabulary and pop culture knowledge of an 18th century nobleman, it’s going to be a tough read. It’ll take you longer to read; you’re not stupid if you’ve spent several months on a single book! And you don’t have to enjoy everything. It’s okay if you got bored after one chapter of Wuthering Heights, and couldn’t be bothered to read the rest. It’s okay if you want to read your favourite kids book for the 10th time instead. You’re not stupid. No piece of literature is inherently better, more “important”, more “meaningful”, or more “intellectual” than another. First and foremost, read what brings you joy.

did you collaboratively write a work of fiction with your middle school best friend that profoundly affects you to this day or are you normal
Maybe my life wouldn't be better if I had magic powers but I'd at least have different, sexier problems.
