a moa here on tumblr wrote an entire essay responding to my post, and honestly? they said a lot without actually disproving anything. let me go through it.
"kai is the main reason his family is popular" they literally admitted kai is the main reason his family is popular. that's the point. acknowledging that isn't hate. it's just reality. but then they turned around and said the sisters are "equally talented" and would have debuted anyway. which one is it?
lea's nugu group was so unknown they didn't even announce disbandment. bahiyyih was ranked 26th out of 33 korean trainees by the mentors on gp999. she only got to p02 because moas mass voted not because of talent, not because of stage presence, because of her brother. you can't separate the two.
"hiyyih debuted as top 2" yes. because of kai. because moas mass voted. that's not a flex. that's proof of nepotism. if she had earned that spot on merit, her fans wouldn't still be fighting to prove she deserved it years later.
"you don't know him personally" neither do you. but you're writing paragraphs defending his family like you're part of it. the difference is i'm not pretending to know how kai feels. i'm just looking at patterns. he's private, he doesn't overshare, and he's asked for privacy. his sisters and relatives? they post his rest days, his vacation photos, his childhood pictures. that's not "bashing his family" that's observing that they've built their public presence around his fame while he's asked for boundaries.
"the sisters are equally talented in their own ways" kai is one of the main vocals in txt, plays multiple instruments, produces music, and goes viral for his talent constantly. his sisters? mid vocals, tiktok-level dancing, can't sing live without backtrack. one was in a nugu group that nobody knew, the other is the stiffest dancer in her group. that's not "equally talented." that's not even close, saying they're all equally talented is so disrespectful to kai and everything he's worked for. moas will do anything to bring him down just to prop his sisters.
"no one ever said his siblings depend on him" then why do her fans spend so much time downplaying his achievements? mocking his fancam views, calling him the "least popular member," acting like she's "bigger" than him? they use him as a shield when it's convenient and drag him when it's not. that's not opinion. that's documented behavior.
"you're a solo fan so your opinion is less justified" ah yes, the classic "you're a solo so your opinion doesn't count" deflection. sorry, but having a bias doesn't make me wrong. facts don't care about fandom labels. kai earned his spot. his sisters got a platform because of him. that's not misogyny or hate, that's just what happened.
"they bond just fine on camera" and? siblings can bond on camera while still benefiting from each other's fame. those two things aren't mutually exclusive. pointing out that one sibling is more successful and that the others gained recognition because of him isn't "jumping to conclusions" it's literally what the numbers show.
they can call it "bashing" all they want. they can say i'm "parasocial" or "entitled" or "incorrect." but the truth doesn't change just because they don't like how it sounds.
kai put that family on the map. his sisters benefited from his fame. her fans and moas spent years downplaying him to prop her up and pointing that out isn't hate it's just not pretending.
kai is the talented one. he's the successful one. he's the one who earned his spot and that's just the truth 💀
