I doodled this around the time I saw the BNHA movie in September but forgot to post. Honestly, haven’t felt that hyped for an anime movie since Digimon Tri. It was so good.
What Happens: Todoroki picks Momo for his team. They work together, along with Iida and Kaminari, to come in first at the Sports Festival.
Why I like it: Todoroki and Yaoyorozu are basically the ultimate team in Class A, super powerful and great at teamwork. Here, they come in the first place team at the Cavalry battle (not to discount Iida and Kaminari’s help, of course). It’s pretty awesome.

What Happens: Todoroki is freaking out about his father nearly dying on TV. His fellows look at him with lots of concern, including Momo.
Why I like it: While Momo is just one of the crowd watching Shoto here, it is great to see that she worries for him too, just as he does for her. It’s a big moment.
#8. MOST CAPABLE STUDENT IN OUR CLASS
Episode 3.13/Chapter 99 ‘Dorm room contest
What Happens: The students visit everyone’s dorms. When they reach Todoroki’s, Momo thinks that he’s “the most capable student in our class.”
Why I like it: Momo respects Todoroki. She thinks he’s smart and talented, and appreciates him as a person. It’s great to see someone admire Todoroki, for something besides his quirk.

What Happens: Following the Sports Fest, everyone’s offers are put on the board. Momo compliments Shoto for his offers and Shoto murmurs that they’re probably just because of his father.
Why I like it: Momo and Shoto sit together in class, and here they talk about their offers. Momo compliments Shoto, and he admits that he thinks the offers were not his own doing. He’s willing to talk to her about his problems.
#6. WHAT WOULD TODOROKI DO? + CONCERN
Episode 3.17 “Class 1-A” License Exam Arc
What Happens: In the anime filler of the License Exam, a worried Yaoyorozu wonders what Shoto would do in this situation. Later when he fails, she looks at him with concern.
Why I like it: “What would X do” is a mark of a Major Ship in Hero ACa (both Izuocha and BKDK have moments like this), so giving TodoMomo their big moment feels deliberate. Also, she’s worried for him when he loses his license.
#5. TEAMWORK AGAINST AIZAWA
Episode 2.22/Chapter 64
What Happens: After they patch things up, Shoto and Momo form a perfect team and take down Aizawa.
Why I like it: Shoto has a problem with avoiding teamwork and others. Momo lacks confidence in herself. In this arc, they learn how to be the perfect team, with Shoto learning to play nice with others and Momo learning to believe in herself.
#4. CONCERN FOR HER
Episode 2.22/Chapter 62
What Happens: Shoto is worried about Momo when he hears her being self-deprecating, many different times throughout the Final Exam Arc.
Why I like it: Shoto is actually a very perceptive and supportive friend, keen to notice others’ emotional duress. He notices Momo’s feelings when none of her other friends did, and worries for her emotional wellbeing.
#3. ENCOURAGEMENT IN JOINT TRAINING ARC (spoilers?)
Chapters 200-202
What Happens: Shoto, watching Momo’s fighting, is very complimentary of her abilities. He talks in great detail about what a fantastic hero she is, and hopes she’ll be OK when she loses.
Why I like it: Shoto respects Momo a great deal. He thinks she’s intelligent, capable, and skilled. He’s not afraid to show it, either, expressing clear-cut compliments and support of her in public. It’s nice to see him so overtly complimentary of someone.
#2. I TRUST TODOROKI
Episode 3.08; Hideout Raid Arc
What Happens: Shoto and Kiri ask Momo to make them a tracker to find Bakugo. She agrees to it, and comes on the rescue mission, because as she puts it ‘I trust Todoroki’.
Why I like it: This is a big emotional arc, and Momo has a tough decision to make. When the chips are down, she puts her faith in Shoto, as he did for her. They also get separated from the group and chill together, possibly go home together afterwards.
Bonus: Enicchi festival
This is a drama CD so it isn’t canon, but it’s just the shippiest thing. Todo and Momo go to the Enicchi fest, and Todo talks to her about his lonely family life. She helps him have fun and he helps her loosen up.

Episode 2.22 ‘Yaoyorozu Rising’
What happens: As Momo is panicking, Shoto tells her that he thinks she’s the one who’s better at this kind of planning. He admits he voted for her as class rep. She regains her confidence.
Why I like it: Shoto reveals here that he actually noticed someone else’s capabilities and threw away his vote for class rep long before he had his fight with Deku. Even at his most obsessed with beating his dad, he was able to pull his head out of his hatred and appreciate Momo. Momo also consistently brings out his best qualities, his ability to work with other people, support and appreciate them, and helps him be a better team player. Momo struggles with feelings of insecurity, and was starting to compare herself unfavorably to Shoto. When he tells her this, it shows her that she can be the best as well and helps her regain confidence. Just like she does for him, Shoto supports and helps her, noticing her problems and boosting her confidence as no other friend of hers does. They’re really a great match.
(Edit: Commenters are telling me Ennichi festival is actually more canon than I thought. If so, then I’d put it in first, since it’s such a sweet moment between them.)
