Beregond couldn't stand the silence anymore, he looked at the young woman and asked, "Do you want to talk about it?" ((Throwing a random starter at you. Or you can throw one of mine at me.))
Elhiriel shrugged as she turned to face Beregond. “What’s there to talk about?”

She sighed and stood, “Where do you have to be? I’m not sure I can manage going back to my quarters yet.”
“ I must go back to my post, we still guard the walls, as peaceful as we are, you never know when someone might strike.” He looked at her, smiling. “ It’s not very exciting, but you may join me if you wish.”
Elhiriel nodded, “That sounds nice. I could use some quiet. Or at least company that doesn’t seem to have any grand expectations of me.” She smiled faintly as she moved to stand next to Beregond.
“ Well then, let’s be off.” He walked with her toward his post, glancing over at her. “Plenty of quiet, believe me. Aside from occasional visitors and chit chat, there isn’t really anything to make sound.”
She smiled, “It sounds like it could get pretty boring after a while.” She followed him toward his post.
"Oh, it can. Believe me. But sometimes it gives me time to think about old times.... old friends.... and how much we've changed." He glanced at her again, going to his post on the wall.
