Future Extra: Studying the Past

Word Count: 2,500

Note: This happens DECADES after the ending of the story, and will give hints to what could happen on Reign of Voices, please keep that in mind. This part of the story will be a recurring thing that I might post every now and then.

Fawn ran across the halls and managed to get to her class hall on time, sitting at the back of the angled room before catching her breath. She's really lazy when it comes to preparing to go to her classes and sometimes she would intentionally miss it as long as she’s attending enough times. However, this course is a different case as they have found themselves fascinated with the subject, which goes through the history of humanity. While history itself is really tiring to go through, the last few lessons have tackled the Era of Prosperity.

Just as Fawn started to open up her bag to review their notes from the last meeting, professor Terry walked into the big classroom, all the students had shushed down and began preparing their pens, papers and laptops for the upcoming lecture. They were immediately greeted by the usual cheery mood that the professor has but instead of projecting their usual slide presentations, they took their marker and started to write something.

‘History Paper Project’

Professor Terry looked at the entire class and smiled, “Good day my dear students, as much as I would love to talk about our recent past and walk you through the history, I have decided to make this the final project of your class,” a lot of murmuring have started in the room, while some sounded really worried, Fawn herself felt excited by the idea.

“Fear not,” the professor continued, making the class go quiet again, “as long as you pass what you have found out, regardless of how common or detailed the information you had with regards to the topic, I will pass you in my class. Think of it as some sort of reward for sitting through some history lessons you can find online, though of course efforts will definitely be rewarded, but we will talk about the topic of your paper,” and with that, professor Terry has written more things at the board.

‘Era of Prosperity’

“Any part! Want to focus on one of the two wars? Or do you want to dig deeper on the history of our first Council? Do what you want as long as it’s on the times new roman, font size 12, double spaced, you know the drill by now.” The professor laughed as he wrote those details on the board, “You want to go by group? You want to go solo? Be my guest, just make sure that you write your names in the group.” This made some students start to look around the class and even type out messages through their laptop.

“Well if you have any questions, you can ask now or email me later. Other than that we would not be having any classes for the rest of the semester, our last meeting will be the deadline of this paper, so about… two months? Now, onto the questions.” After Professor Terry finished, a couple of students raised their hands.

“What type of sources can we use?”

“Any, as long as you have proof that is reliable, don’t forget to use APA 22th edition for it”

“How formal does the paper have to be?”

“You wouldn’t be defending it, however I want it written in an orderly manner, introduction, separation of data depending if you are taking different points of view or going through a sequence of events. I just want it to look formal and definitely have no subjective writings on it.”

“Can I partner with someone from a different section but is a student under your name for this course?”

“Email me their names before you start for me to check on them, but yes as long as you inform me at most 2 weeks before the deadline”

Fawn was the last one to get called on to ask her question, “What was the reward if we actually put the effort into this project?”

Professor Terry grinned, “That is a good question! The Regalient University of Innovation would actually be the one providing it, though they refuse to tell the professors themselves what the reward would be, they have mentioned that the Council is involved.” A lot of mumbling has happened within the room.

“The Council are alumni of the school right?” One student blurted out.

“You are correct! Even the former Supere Fuantei have learned their major in our mother university, That can be a full on paper on itself,” Professor Terry laughed, “That does remind me, if any of you needed a proof that you would need some information for educational purposes, email me so I can ask the university to help you out. Apparently they will give the students whatever is necessary to help for this project, so don’t hesitate to email me about it.”

“No limits huh…” Fawn mumbled to herself as she wrote that info down before going through her phone and messaging Jace, ‘hey r u in the class rn?’

Her phone immediately vibrated upon sending the message, ‘yeah I am, also yes we can pair up’, making Fawn chuckle at the idea of Jace already writing out a message to ask her.

“Very well, if there are no further questions, class dismissed. Email me or meet me at the faculty every Wednesday if ever you need help with the project.” And with that the professor left while everyone else started to pack up and leave.

Fawn giggled at the idea of being able to research a lot of things for the paper, while they aren’t too interested in actually claiming the winner over the best paper, they still wanted to give it a shot. She texted Jace to meet her at their usual place before bolting out, they want to get some library books before everyone else gets the idea.

Jace arrived at the cafe he and Fawn frequent over, while it’s close to the campus, it is somewhat of a hidden treasure due to how unknown it was for a good amount of students. Besides, a lot of the students would have preferred staying in the campus or one of the more luxury cafes nearer. This does make the cafe really calm to stay through for study sessions, which Jace assumed they would be doing in here once Fawn arrived. The duo have studied, drawn and even slept in this place so they were basically regulars at this rate. As soon as Jace entered the cafe, the owner and bartender of the cafe, a friendly old man named Nilson, waved at him and started to prepare something behind the counter.

“Hey well if it isn’t Jace! You want the usual?” Nilson smiled, which makes Jace shake his head given he can see that Nilson is preparing the drink already.

“Well, you are already preparing it already, so I might as well, oh and prepare Fawn’s favorite as well, they are just currently getting something done but they should be here in a moment.” Jace said, making Nilson give a thumbs up as he also started working on a second drink.

As Jace walked towards a table by the corner of the cafe, Fawn bursted out of the door with a lot of books on hand. He immediately went to help her out, with Fawn mumbling a quick thanks, before they walked to the table where they dropped a lot of the books they had on-hand.

“Oh thank you so much Jace! I’m sorry I didn’t ask for help earlier, I just got too excited and bolted out to get the books as fast as possible.” Fawn explained while catching her breath, letting her head rest on the table as she does so. “I have so much ideas for our paper”

“I can tell,” Jace laughed nervously as she looked at the books that she brought with her, all of the books were connected to the Council one way or another apart from two of them. "Club album 2024… Alumni 2025 and 2028… These are like, nearly 6 decades ago! How did you got these?" He asked as he started to flip through the pages of the Club album.

"Well, Prof. Terry did said we are allowed to ask the university for help, I approached him as soon as he left the class hall and asked if he could help me retrieve some books from the restricted section!" Fawn explained as she sat upright and took the Alumni book "They were also kind enough to let me drag it out of the university, though if we damage them it is a great trouble." She then pulled out a set of documents, "I don't really like scaring you, but I'll just say I can get expelled if these books are heavily damaged."

"Expelled?!? Are these the only copies left???" Jaze asked in fear, RUI doesn't like expelling their students nor is very strict about the restricted section of their library, so to hear that makes him fear for Fawn.

"Not really and they have digital copies too, but they told me that these are the copies specifically for the Literature club–" Fawn said as she pointed at the Alumni albums "–and this one is for the Art Club," Fawn said as she pointed on the Club Album. "Why those specific clubs? I don't know either, frankly I am terrified of holding them on the way here." Fawn said, shrugging as Nilson walked up to them with their drinks in hand.

"Hey fellas, I see that there are a lot of books here. I'll just put your drinks on this other table here–" Nilson then went to drag a nearby small table beside the bigger table the duo was using and placed their drinks there "–there ya go, I heard something along the lines of 'expulsion on damage' so I'll just assume y'all don't want that, right?"

"Y-yeah!" Jace answered, "Thanks for the drinks"

"Anytime, these ones and some snacks are on the house. Seems like both of you will be on a nose dive into those books" Nilson said, laughing as he turned around to go back to his station, "Have fun reading!"

"Oohhboy okay, time to see why they specifically gave you the one for the art club…" Jace gulped as he started actually skimming through the club album, there were definitely far less clubs available back then but it was still plenty enough that it took a while to find the Art Club section, "No fucking away."

"What is it?? Did you discover something??" Fawn jumped over and looked at the page he's in.

'Perlad Hiro, Club President'

The two stared in awe at the information in front of them. There it was, the leader of the Supera Council back when he was just around the same age as them, staring right back at them with a gentle smile on his face.

"Holy shit," Fawn said as she then went to whip out her phone and search for the oldest image of their Leader. Upon finding one she then went to put it side by side with the college photo.

The image of Supere Hiro that Fawn showed was one of his first public portraits right after he was previously put on the second seat back when the Supera Council was just created. The serious face almost sent chills to both of them compared to his college photo where he looked so friendly and welcoming, seemingly content and proud to be featured as the president of the club. Meanwhile Supere Hiro was known to be extremely strict for the first few years after the Resistance war had ended, and his controlling demeanor definitely leaked out of his portrait.

However, the one that stood out the most for both of them was the difference in his glare. While his college picture has so much glow, enthusiasm and warmth in his eyes, his portrait as a newly seated leader has a glare of its own yet it felt empty. It was almost as if his soul was sucked out of his body as he doesn't seem to focus to anything that was happening in front of him

This made Jace take out his tablet and search through newer photos of the Leader. Supere Hiro himself is almost turning 90 at this time, however due to how fast medical advances were, the average lifespan of 90 back in the 2020s has doubled by the 2080s. Looking at the newer images for the Council, they still looked like they were just in their early 40s. Jace zoomed in to Supere Hiro and saw that he had the focus in his eyes once again, like how it was when he was at college.

"He looked so… different" Fawn said as she looked at the pictures between her phone and the album. "The wars probably dented him hard…" she sighed and sat down, taking out her holographic computer and turning it on and started setting up documents to jot down some notes.

"I mean, he ended up needing to hold leadership so early as well, I'm surprised he isn't so scarred" Jace shrugged as he went to place his tablet right beside the album and as he was about to say something, he saw something neatly written on the page, right under the Leader's portrait.

'Proud of you Per

"W-wait" Jace nudged Fawn to look at the page, "is THIS why they specifically handed us this copy???"

Fawn smiled so wide, "oh my fucking god that HAS to be from the former Leader holy shit," she started to make squealing noises, the thought of discovering how close the two Council leaders were is giving her so much hope for the project, "they are definitely not beating the allegations and historical theories that they used to have a relationship before the government overturn" she laughed as she started to type out on her computer.

"Wait, I have a theory." Jace said as he then started to look for a different club in the album and it even threw him off more as he somewhat violently shook Fawn.

"Wh-wha woah calm the shit do- holy fucking shit what?!" She gasped seeing the club album opened up to the Literature club's officers.

'Saimin Fuantei, Club President'

"What the fuck how come we never learned these." Fawn said as she admired the portrait of their deceased former Council Leader, who looked vastly different with his short ponytail and much more calming stature.

"Well, we ARE learning right now, aren't we?" Jace said, grinning as he looked at the other piles of books on the table.

Fawn shook her head,"Well you better be taking down notes, I think we are onto something here," she said as she started a new document for the project. "Hmm… how about tentatively we focus on what we can find about the connection of our Council leaders before they have taken their seats?" She asked while scratching her head.

Jace nodded, "I feel like the librarians were setting this up on us…"

Prologue: Oversleeping on the Big Day

Sun shined through the window as a beeping alarm started to ring throughout the room. A groan can be heard through the thick sheets of blankets messily covering a young man. He slowly reached out for the alarm at his bedside cabinet and slapped its button, almost throwing it and a nearby pair of glasses off its places. His arm still rested on the bedside for a few seconds before he quickly sat up, his messy ginger hair and brown eyes shined as the sunlight hit him in the face.

"Ah my eyes!" He said quickly, stumbling out of his bed and walking up on his windows to cover it. He sighed in relief as he finally stood up properly and took his glasses from the bedside cabinet.

He looked at the clock, '8:00', while normally he would wake up two hours earlier, but he stayed up a bit too late for his liking. The fact that they would finally start attending university excited him. Still, he didn't like the fact that he let himself wake up this late.

"The only redeeming factor is the fact it's just orientation week right now," he sighed as he went to start making his bed, it's a habit he developed during his times at the orphanage.

After finishing up, he finally decided to undo his curtains and look at the view from his room, a sliding door leading to a decently-sized balcony. He is still taking in the fact that at one point he has nowhere to go, but now he's somewhere he might as well call a dream home. He smiled as he went to quickly go to the bathroom and get himself ready, excited for the events that may happen today. After a short while he came out of the bathroom, dressed in a plain yellow collared shirt, his signature brown cargo pants. Contemplating between style and comfort, he had chosen the former and wore a pair of simple brown loafers.

After he tried (and failed) to style his hair, he took his messenger bag on his study table that he had prepared last night. He checked the contents one last time, chucked his phone, charger and earphones in before walking out of his room. As soon as he opened his door a whiff of garlic scent could be smelled as he entered the living room.

"You stayed up too late last night?" Perlad turned to the open kitchen to see a taller male figure facing against him, cooking fried rice. "Got too excited I assume?" He added.

Perlad scratched his head and laughed a bit as he walked towards the kitchen counter to prepare the plates. "Yeah, sorry about that Said. I had told I was gonna have breakfast for today" Perlad answered as he went to start preparing hot water and putting loose tea in a pot. "Do you want lavender or just some green tea?"

"Green tea would do, you probably need the caffeine anyways."

"I'm not that tired, Saimin."

"Well you aren't fully awake either." Saimin shook his head as he finished cooking and plated up the rice as well as finally put the side dishes on the table. Shaking his head did end up loosening the hair tie he's using, this made him sigh as he went to take it out fully revealing his shoulder-length bluish light gray hair and retying his hair.

Perlad just noticed how his roommate had been fully dressed, as he wore his signature dark blue turtleneck with grey pants. He had also found himself staring at his amethyst pendulum dangling on his neck as he finished everything up. He had probably noticed him stare and snapped his fingers in front of his face.

"Per, the tea." Saimin said calmly, gesturing at the teapot that had finished steeping.

"R-right! Sorry!" Perlad immediately stood up and went to get the tea, making sure not to burn himself as he went to pour the tea for both of them.

The two went on to eat in silence, just enjoying the meal they had on-hand. That is until Perlad spoke up, smiling as he finished his tea, "So? Are you excited to actually see R.U.I?"

Saimin shrugged, unlike his friend he didn't give much energy, "Somewhat, we toured it but there's no students during that day, so it would be interesting to see how the school works." He noted as he remembered the tour two weeks ago, it was a vacation time for the students so there weren't any activities during the time.

Perlad gasped as he finished up his meal and picked up his plate as he went to clean himself up. "I still can't believe I ended up being a scholar for that school!" He exclaimed as he also recalled the tour, "It's so huge! It lives up to the stuff we heard about it a year ago!" He continued as he started to clean up the sink.

His friend chuckled a bit as he stood up and had put the remaining plates at the sink. "Well you did end up staying up late because of it, I'll go prepare my remaining stuff. Tell me when you are done" Saimin softly said, it seems like his friend's enthusiasm was somewhat infecting him, which is rare.

Saimin went back to his room as Perlad finished the dishes. They take turns on collective chores, which was something they have done a lot and have gotten a hand of just syncing each other with regards to tasks. After a while Perlad finished and Saimin walked out, now wearing his grey trench coat alongside his casual black backpack.

"Are you ready?" Saimin asked as he looked around as he did some last minute checks.

Perlad nodded, "Yeah! Let's go! We might be late for the orientation ceremony!" He said as he started to walk towards the door and wear his shoes.

Saimin shook his head, slightly amused by his impatient friend, "You are the one who woke up late" he mumbled as he also walked towards the door, by this point Perlad was almost out of the door.

"I heard that!"

"I know."

Part 1: Into the College Life

Synopsis: Two friends, Perlad Hiro and Saimin Fuantei, start their college life after they get out of orphanage and are accepted as scholars of the Regalient University of Innovation, one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Though there is a secret the two are keeping side by side, while they would want to know the cause of the secret. For now they must form bonds and learn how to adapt with the new environment.

Waiting (Part 1)

Spoiler alert for DR3: Despair arc, possibly Future arc, Hope arc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye despair

So this is probably a 2 (maybe 3 if I made Nagito's monologues way too long) part short story/au where after the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, the former remnants of despair where able to do what they need to do to help the future foundation, but 2 of them are still at the coma, Nagito Komaeda and Hajime Hinata, this event follows 2 months after the altered ending of Hope arc where Nagito was the one to woke up, leaving the only remaining person to be in the coma to be Hajime.

Nagito woke up, gasping for air as he went to look around, he is inside the machine used to keep him in while he was inside the Neo World program, he began to slowly recall what just happened, but it also ended up with a headache. Soon after the capsule he was in slowly opened up, blinding him a bit as the light entered the capsule. Once he was able to adjust to the light and open his eyes, the capsule have opened completely.

He went to sit up and look around, he saw almost everyone's capsules have been opened, well almost, he noticed there is a single capsule that is not yet opened, its the one beside him. He gathered up his strength and stand himself up when someone entered the room, it was Mikan, who out of surprise screamed.

"WHAAAA" She screamed as she when to shield herself.

"Whoa whoa, its okay its just me" he laughed a bit as he waved his right hand up, and went to kinda hide his left hand so that she wont freak out even more. Nagito then went to go out of his place.

"Oh.. Nagito, You woke up! I am so glad you did, now let's see.." Mikan exclaimed happily as she went towards him and checks his body up, gasping at the sight of "his" left hand.

"So its actually true..." Mikan mumbled as she went to inspect it more and went through the rest of the body.

"Yeah it is" Nagito said as he went to face the closed capsule after the check up.

"Who's in that capsule?"

"Its... Hajime.."

Nagito was shocked at the answer, he expected that he will be the last to wake up and for Hajime to be the first, and the fact that they are adjacent to each other makes it both lucky and unlucky for him, He tried to hide his shocked expression and went to face Mikan again.

"When will he wake up tho?" Nagito asked.

Mikan gulped "We are not sure, we are quite surprised he hasn't woke up yet." She then went to face the door, "May-maybe you wanna go and say hi-hi to others, i-if you want" She then said looking at Nagito hesitantly, Nagito then nod.

"Sure, not that all of you really cares about me" He mumbled, then him and Mikan went to go out of the room, Mikan first with Nagito trailing behind her, before leaving the room he then went to look at Hajime's capsule one last time before leaving completely, closing the door behind him.

He then went to look in front of him to find everyone running towards the door.

"We heard screams, is everything alright?" Mahiru said looking at Mikan, Mikan then went to look at Nagito, who just closed the door.

"Nagito?" Hiyoko asked, "I guess I shouldn't have expected much" She added, earning a glare from Byakuya and Mahiru, Nagito noticed it and just laughed.

"Oh its okay, I am used to it by now, I don't really deserve your effort to go here in the first pla-" Nagito was cut off by Akane and Nekumaru hugging him.

"Now, now we don't want you spewing out those words again!" Nekumaru said as him and Akane let go of him.

"Yep! Especially we thought you and Hajime would never wake up from your comas" Akane said with her usual hyper tone.

Nagito then sighed as he went to try and go back to the capsule room, but then he felt someone gripped his left arm, looking back, it turned out to be Ibuki.

"Huh what is this- OHEWIUDBWIUBS" She let out some muffled screech as she went to look at his left hand.

Remembering what exactly is the reason he have it he went to inspect it himself, unfolding his jacket a bit he can clearly see some bloodstains especially in the part where the cut began, the bandage that was there that concealing the stitches that put the hand and his arm together, the arm itself is quite grayer than his arm, but its not rotting yet.

Like its becoming one with me

He shook the thought away and went to look at the others. 

Kazuichi and Ibuki are screaming.

Hiyoko was hiding behind Mahiru who is looking away.

Mikan is trying to calm the screaming ones, but she herself is panicking too.

Teruteru is mumbling in denial.

Peko and Fuyuhiko are just looking at eachother in an concerned way.

Byakuya looks angry but in a concerned way.

Akane, Nekumaru and Gundham looked away with frustration.

Nagito looked surprised with their reaction as Sonia approached him.

"Oh my! So what they said about.. this, is totally true... Uhh.. We should have that removed before you do anything else" Sonia said, concerned of what infections may happen to him.

"I am fine. I just want to be here when Hajime wake up-" Nagito said but again, cut off by Mahiru this time.

"Hajime will probably like it better if that is out of your system Nagito" She said.

"Tha-that is right, Here lemme take that thing off... It won't hurt I promise!" Mikan said.

"N-no.. I need to be there-" That is when Akane and Nekumaru carried him.

"Oh hush, You need to be as healthy as you can be once Hajime comes back, we don't want you dying or else he will be angry at us" Akane said.

Of course, there will be some people who will be angry, but I don't care because those really don't exist.

After they  arrive in some room that looks like a clinic, Akane and Nekumaru put Nagito down gently into one of the beds inside it

"Here better get well soon Nagito!" Nekumaru laughed as he went to give Nagito a huge pat on the back, nearly making him fall over the bed. "Oops, my bad"

"Oh no, no its okay" Nagito exclaimed after he recovered and Akane gave a salute before leaving the room, having only Nagito and Mikan in there.

"So.. how long have I been out?" Nagito asked, out of curiosity and in hope that it will ease the awkward situation he is in while Mikan prepares for the "surgery"

"Ummm, you have been out for nearly 2 months, right now everything around the world is going back to a peaceful turn" Mikan said as she began to unwrap the bandage, revealing the stitches Nagito once made to himself in order to fulfill his lust for despair during that time, seeing this made Mikan wince and Nagito turned his head around with a sigh.

"Uhh.. Should I give a hard dose of anesthesia or maybe-"

"N-No need, just do-do it already" Mikan was quite surprised that Nagito stuttered that much, but she went to not give a comment about it and began to take out the stitches

Nagito didn't turned his head around to look at what Mikan is doing but looked at the window, only to see an almost endless ocean, he was about to ask Mikan something when suddenly, he felt a sharp, small but it surprised he and made him turn around to Mikan.

"Oh"

He saw that Mikan is halfway through the process, but has faced a gruesome problem, the fact that his arm and the hand are so close together the skin who attempts to close up the huge wound has stick itself to the hand's muscles making it hold together.

"Uh.. AAAAHHH, Ho-how will I do this, I-i haven't encountered this situation at all-" Mikan panicked but Nagito smiled painfully at her.

"It's okay, go cut it off" He said to her.

"Bu-but"

 Nagito went to gently cup Mikan's face and made her look straight at him, that is when Mikan realized that a tear fell down Nagito's left eye but there she can still see his cheerful smile.

"I don't mind, it's all to atone for my despair acts" Nagito said as she went to gently let her go.

"Ye-yes, right away!" Mikan went to get other medical supplies, nearly tripping in process

It's all for the hope

After nearly 30 minutes Mikan managed to totally take out the hand, sanitize the wounds and tuck it nearly in bandage.

"The-there! It's all done, I do recommend that you stay here and take a rest" Mikan said as she went to finish cleaning up the whole setting, and now carrying the tray holding the hand once connected to Nagito's arm

"I'll just bu-bury this-"

"No need, I'll do it myself" Nagito cutted her off which made Mikan flinch, causing her to drop the tray, luckily Nagito was able to catch it.

"You can go and rest instead, I'll be back here when I am done" Nagito said as he went for the door.

"Bu-bu-but-"

But it was too late, Nagito already left the room and into the outside world to atone for his sins.

Those words left the Brunette's mouth as he went to thank the flower vendor after receiving his change, he went to make a run for his destination with is 3 blocks away.

The streets were brimming with passion as people, men, women and children, come together to enjoy the chilly air of the November night.

The moon shined brightly over the fairly dimmed alleyways as the man continues to run to his destination, his clock making sure he won't caught a cold in the night, his hood is up while his purple eyes went to look around, trying to calm himself down as he went to approach halfway.

"Oh no, he will be totally mad at me!"

He panicked as he went to speed himself up.

What if I am too late?

Will he forgive me at least?

The man is so lost in his thoughts that he suddenly crash to his friend of his.

"Oh I am so sorry I wasn't paying attentio- Seto?! Oh thank god I saw you!" The man bursts out as he picked himself up.

"Oh its you Isaac-" Seto greeted but when he looked at his watch.

8:50 pm

"Oh shit I am late I am so sorry-" Seto was about to make a run to the building a few meters from his position when Isaac grabed his wrist.

"You may not want to go in there" Isaac sighed, Seto tilted his head.

"Why won't I? Its our 3rd anniversary after all!, I need to hurry!" Seto broke out of Isaac hold and run to the restaurant building, not noticing Isaac yelling for him to stop.

But it was too late

Seto went to the seat he reserved for them, it was near by the window, and there.. he saw something he would never expect.

Tyler's eyes widened as he realized what just happened and said one of the most cliche things a cheating lover would say if they would get caught.

"Please let me explain-"

But he was cut off by Seto.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a fucking announcement."

Seto said as he went to shout it to everyone

"This man" Pointing Tyler. "Is my boyfriend for 3 years and I am planning to propose to him right now"

As he began his speech, memories start to pour in him.

Seto was sitting alone in the same table, waiting for his dinner, He is reading on a book he got from the library earlier.

He barely made to sit on his favorite table if weren't the fact it was always reserved for him, the fast food restaurant in always full of people so he always reserve a seat, not like he would run out of money that fast anyways.

While he was reading a man walked up to a his table.

"Hi, may I sit with you?"

Seto just nodded, its completely normal for him to share sits with people, he doesn't mind it, besides he do like company.

"So, you are that guy who always reserves this sit huh?"

That question made Seto to lift his head up from what he was reading, he then saw a man around his age, a man with a hazelnut hair that covers their right eye and grayish-green eyes, he has a neon green headphones around his neck. Seto raised his eyebrows.

"I always wondered who takes up this seat everyday" The man continued

"My name is Tyler Ellis by the way, But you can call me Ty"

He went to reach for a handshake, which accepted by Seto.

"My name is Seto Ellagard, and yeah, I take this seat position because I like it" Ty tilted his head a bit.

"Why tho?" He asked as he looks around. "There is nothing special here" Seto just sighed.

"My mom and dad met up in this place and they also brought me to this, this is one of my few mementos I have with my parents before they passed away when I was 12" Ty went to blush out of embarrassment and looked away.

"I am sorry I asked that then.." Seto went to to laugh a bit and put the book down, making a dog's ears in the leaf he was reading before completely closing it.

"Oh no no, its fine don't worry" Seto said.

"So what do you do in everyday stuff?"

And from there they went to talk a lot everyday in the same seat.

"That guy" Then he pointed at Brice with hatred "Is my childhood best friend since I was 12"

"Right now they are making out in this public area, in the table I reserved for me and my damned boyfriend" That made a lot of people mumble to each other.

Seto finished it with a painfully fake grin as he went to turn around to both of Tyler and Brice

"I hope you guys will have a great family"

And with that Seto went to the counter to pay for the damage of the table and walked off, Leaving everyone in total shock. Seto saw Isaac approaching on his way out but Seto signaled not to follow him and so, he went to run.

This time to the place he wished he never went when he was little.

A mile done and Seto arrived in a cliff, it was full of trees, but Seto knew where is the tree he was looking for, he went stop on the tree he first made his best friend.

This time a memory played that made Seto nearly fell on his knees.

It was a week after his parents' funeral, after a tragic car crash that him and his parents are in, Only Seto survived, every since he was kept by his grandpa until he can have all his parents' riches and his legal rights.

He was staring out of the window like always, looking at the trees that are so full of life.

That time he is just wishing he could have died along with his parents.

He turned his head around to a door to see his grandpa peeking

"Hey Seto, why won't you go outside and enjoy the weather?" His grandpa said as he went to pat Seto in the shoulder.

"I am not in the mood grandpa" Seto mumbled as he went to look back outside again.

His grandpa sighed.

"I know you are in a hard time right now, but you shouldn't be hard to yourself, besides, walking outside can calm you mind" He said.

"There is a lot of great scenery over a cliff a few blocks away, maybe that can calm you down" His grandpa added as he went kiss Seto in the forehead and walk out of the room.

Then an idea hit Seto.

He went to his bedside drawers and found the box containing his mother's favorite necklace, a simple silver chain with a silver-bordered amethyst charm, his father's favorite watch that has a broken glass because of the accident but still works, along with his parents' wedding rings.

He went to get the rings and hide somewhere else.

Clutching the box, he went to excuse himself out and walked walk his way to the cliff, the terrain is full of trees, but paths of those who goes here are guiding Seto to the cliff.

"I need to rest them in peace"

But just as he was about to reach it he heard some weeping, he slowed down his pace as he approaches the source of the weeping, it was a young kid, sitting below the tree, Seto can't really the person as they are hugging their knees.

Seto slowly approached the kid when suddenly the kid stood up, still not noticing Seto, who got the better glimpse of the kid, it was just around his age, his hair is black with yellow highlights, but he can't still see its face.

The kid then went to start talking.

"It's so unfair, why, why would they leave me alone?!?!" The kid shouted at the cliff, giving off a little echo.

"I just want someone, anyone, to appreciate me, I just want to prove I can do better, that I can be better... They are pushing me away...Screaming at me... I cannot.." His scream turned into a mumble as he went to fell down to his knees, hands in his face.

Seto understanding what is going on he swallowed up his fear as he gently went to put the box down in a nearby tree and went to hug the person.

As first the kid is shocked and flinched a bit, but Seto didn't let go of them, he knew he shouldn't let go. Eventually the kid cried over his arms, after sometime, the kid calmed down and Seto decided to let go and quickly got his box before turning his face to the kid who is now standing up and looking at him, his puffy eyes and groaned expression made Seto feel a bit embarrassed at what he did, he breath heavily and spoke.

"Look I am sorry I did that, I just feel like you need-"

"Thank you" the boy mumbled, "I am Brice by the way"

"Seto" Brice went to look at his surroundings

"You know, If you didn't came, I may have lost my mind in sadness and despair and did something I would highly regret" He said with embarrassment, Seto shook his head.

"I knew any better, I know that you just need someone... I have been there" Seto said as he looked at the box he is holding. Brice noticed it.

"Are you planning to bury that?" Brice asked, Seto nod as a reply.

"These are my parent's remaining treasures, I wanna make peace with them" Seto said as a tear fell down in his eye.

"Here, I made a hole to hide in an important treasure" Brice pointed at a hole beside the tree he was sitting in, there is a wide hole with less than half of it occupied with a box.

"That has all the tools and medicine I used to nearly end my life or somebody else's, I highly regret it.. So I went to put it there and end it all in this cliff, but you came to save me" Brice said in a melancholic way, painfully smiling over it.

"It's okay, its over now" Seto said as he put his box in the whole and slowly put the land back in place.

"I hope so"

Seto walked towards the cliff, his eyes affixed in the moon that is shining brightly.

"You know what I really want?" Brice spoke as they are sitting under the tree, looking at the scenery.

Seto went to turn around to find Brice, grinning intensely.

"What is it?" Seto asked, tilting his head a bit.

Brice shoved Seto down the cliff, as Seto fell his tears fell down as his childhood friend, no, a person he thought was his best friend all throughout the years, grin while he fell down the cliff, remembering a line that made him puzzled until now.

"I wanna be someone I cannot be, and take what should be mine, no matter what."
