This is exactly the crossroads I’m at; continuing to stay with my safe, secure job that I have a masters degree in despite how much of my passion and drive and happiness and sense of self it’s stolen from me, or risk everyone thinking I’ve gone off the deep end trying to go after my dreams and build a career around something I have so much passion for. And I’m choosing the latter. I’ve never felt the “career” path I chose was right because hell, I didn’t even really get to freely choose it… I was blinded by everyone else’s thoughts and opinions on what a “good” and “successful” career was. And right now my vision has never been so clear and I’m ready to take the risk and give it everything I’ve got to get off this path I’m on and listen to what my heart is telling me instead of everyone else. A small step in the right direction can maybe end up being the biggest step of your life, right? Life is too short for me to not risk it and run like I’m on fire towards my wildest dreams.
Thank you to those of you who read my last post and responded with encouragement! I know the road ahead won’t be easy, but it’s already refreshing to have made up my mind to change the path I’m on. Thank you so much to those of you who are encouraging, because I know thats something I may not get a lot of in “real life.” Thank you to those who have sent positive response; a little online support base is so encouraging! ❤️
