We all heard the news today about RT and RWBY. I won't stop loving these 4 girls and stay tuned for good new in the future~ Thank you for 10 years of RWBY <3

THIS is a mega folder containing literally everything rwby-related that is available right now on roosterteeth (+v9). rwby, fairytales, world of remnant, the grimm campaign, ice queendom (sub and dub), vtubing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. everything.

plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.

i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.

whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.

As per Kerry there is no concrete news on RWBY right now, when there is they'll let everyone know. So from the sound of it at least he seems involved still and is the one still trying to find somewhere for it to land.

According to Jordan RWBY v10 is still having promising talks for partnerships and won't be necessarily tied to RT's shutdown. Which is indeed being handled by Kerry.

Please god, Dillon worked on V3 and animated some incredible, iconic scenes (Velvet's big moment and Cinder VS Pyrrha, for example), and his animation studio now has some incredible work. Please please please put RWBY into the hands of someone who really truly cares for it 🙏🙏🙏

Warner Brothers is shutting down Rooster Teeth.

Much like how Legendary Entertainment bought Geek and Sundry solely to screw over and drive off the people who made it what it was, kill one of its two biggest draws (Tabletop), and had the other big draw (Critical Role) escape out from under their mismanagement, another beloved geeky Youtube channel has been essentially murdered by a stupid, greedy asshole of a CEO who didn't understand ANYTHING about what he had his company devour.

Rooster Teeth is being shut down and WB is selling RWBY.

So the best we can do is PRAY that whoever gets it keeps the writers, directors, and as much of the CRWBY as possible

I had a feeling when this shot of Ruby alone and saying "thank you" came onscreen near the end of the last episode. It's the kind of thing shows do when they strongly suspect they're not going to get another season.

Here's hoping someone else buys the property from WB.

The thing I’m trying to keep in mind right now regarding the Rooster Teeth news is this:

RWBY made it nine seasons. Nine. Seasons. Over ten years. For an indie series made by a comparatively small team. That’s more than most big studio shows get.

Even if we never end up seeing the end of it (I’m still holding out hope), even if you never cared about the show or thought it went downhill at some point, you have to admit that that is incredibly admirable.

Monty Oum, Miles Luna and Kerry Shawcross wanted to make a show, and they did. And that little show ended up becoming a whole ass franchise with over a hundred episodes and legions of fans all over the world.

And no matter what, I think that’s worth celebrating.
