— BIOGRAPHY
TDLR; The son of a once-great, wealthy and privileged man turned digital nomad to escape the downfall. Scarred by the demise of his family, abandoned by his mother, and numbed by his father’s spiral into addiction — Lucian's story is mainly one of self-survival. In response, he found the Brotherhood and never left. Found family, in his eyes, is the best thing that could've happened to him. TRIGGERS; Addiction, Needles, Parental Abandonment, Murder, Gun shooting.
Wealth had never been a question when it came to Lucian's upbringing. They'd practically swam in it, from the minute he took his first breath as a screaming babe. His father, Marius' company kept the family more than comfortably wealthy until it... couldn't....and then it didn’t. Some whispered that it'd been his wife, Clarice, who'd drained him dry, ran all the bank accounts into the ground with endless shopping and all-out vacations.
When the collapse came, it was swift, like a fucking virus, and it was without a doubt...brutal — money gone, where it'd once been. And the life they'd known was done. And just like that, his mother was gone, and his father was left behind with nothing but a needle...
Addiction shouldn't have been so relevant in Lucian's life: but it was.
The outside world didn't see that part. Only his family.
Marius Brown was not as he appeared to the outside world.
At sixteen, Lucian had already learned the truest form art...detachment. While his father decayed around him, unwilling to make an effort, or move from the couch that he rotted on daily. Lucian did what he'd learned to do all by himself — retreated. Instead, his evenings it was replaced instead with his staring into the glow of a screen. Codes moved past faster than most human eyes could detect. But Lucian was different. He always had been, if only his parents had taken a little closer of a look.
High school had always been a little too much of a breeze for Lucian, so much so that colleges had come knocking. But he'd never been interested in furthering himself in academics. Not when everything he needed or wanted to learn was either below their moral code. Or would stifle him. No, that wasn't for him. Hacking began as an escape, but what started as a trickle of extra cash, eventually by the time he was nineteen, saw that tripling. His father, by this point, was barely a living man. And Lucian took that chance to get the hell out of dodge. It was his turn to get away.
His mother, for all the years he'd hated her, made the escape when she could. If only she'd taken him with her. His hatred had smoldered, but it was still there. Festering.
A boy who was barely a man found himself living in a barely livable apartment, but it was his own. And for the first time, he was sure he might have a shot at making something of himself in the dark world of the web. And so he kept at it, programming, hacking, hijacking — anything that he could learn.
The Brotherhood noticed somewhere along the way.
And now, sixteen years later, Lucian is one of the best hackers.
Code name: Dark Horse.
Lucian was the kind of man who could make problems disappear with a few keystrokes.
He could make people disappear digitally just as quickly too. His office, a secure location somewhere in New York City, had multiple options to access CCTV, encrypted files, banks — you name it. He could do it. And he was succeeding, as far as his initial hopes for his life.

— WANTED CONNECTIONS / PLOTS
Lucian has seen members come and go over the sixteen-or-something years he's been a member of the Brotherhood. He's seen a lot of shit and heard even more. Maybe your character could've worked with him, owed him, or had him digging into secrets in the past. He's most likely done a lot of jobs for different people if the pay was right, too. He can be bought, in some respects. As long as it doesn't go against his morals and loyalty to the Brotherhood.
Maybe he has information about your character, and could be holding it over their head for leverage.
Lucian understands addicts — maybe too well. And as much as he tries to walk away because of the painful memories it brings back, he's always there to help anyone who has problems.
If any characters also grew up in the wealthy area of New York City, and maybe saw his families' downfall and either they've kept connections, or they haven't.
A best friend for the last sixteen years. His ride or die in the Brotherhood. The one who saw him through it all, and vice versa.
