To be clear, Salem has also had a concerted harassment campaign against them which is likely the cause of this. It’s not something new or particularly unsurprising, it’s a documented white supremacist site doing white supremacy in its moderation and allowing white supremacists, transphobes, and transmisogynists (a mostly overlapping triple venn diagram) to utilize their site to harm the most marginalized among us over and over.

How long are you motherfuckers gonna keep letting this happen? As long as they are able to keep doing this arbitrarily to marginalized folks, especially historically Black people, transfemmes, sex workers, etc. At the whims of harassment campaigns, none of us will be safe. We will keep watching our friends disappear, we will keep watching medical, survival, etc. fundraisers die off, we will keep seeing this site become more fucking fascist as more marginalized folks get scattered to further and smaller corners of the internet again. If you can say or do something, put to fucking action your thoughts don’t just sit there anymore, fucking speak up about whats been happening!

Like they've defended the bans of trans women under their 'any reason or no reason at all' catch-all but they refuse to do anything about harassers that very much are violating real TOS rules. Harassment is the ONLY report that has a character minimum to file. Blogs that get spam reported as mature have posts automatically flagged or get auto deleted. It's a whole machine set up to reward the worst people and most bigoted behaviors.

it's not enough to be passively non-racist. whether you're chasing people off here yourself or choosing to ignore "discourse" (meaning the rights of black people to basic respect), the end result is a big whites-only sign outside your little clubhouse. when the tide is pulling toward bigotry, refusing to swim against it just means you'll be carried along too. passivity is acceptance. get mad, get loud, don't value the comfort of the oppressor over the dignity of the oppressed.

Salem did nothing besides be a beacon of love, Black positivity, and support for his transfem friends. He made beautiful art to express his Blackness, the experience of being trans, and his desire to make people with beautiful bodies be seen, and I guess we just can't have that positivity here, or were you tired of banning trannies you decided to be racist as well?

After everything he went through, this is how you treat him?

Between this, and the previous terming of Yaybunnies, it must one again be reiterated that Black people being loud and positive about their Blackness is not allowed on this racist site.

And, because the userbase is also just as racist, it can be even harder to drum up as much awareness and positivity for is drummed up for even white transfems.

Also if you scroll through the tag for his username(tapped it from the post earlier about him getting banned, big mistake) that PEOPLE HAVE BEEN USING TO LOLCOW HIM FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS it's literally all people making bingo cards and celebrating that they mass reported him enough to get him banned

There is a very easily visible paper trail showing this was a coordinated attempt to get someone banned for the crime of being black trans and comfortable in his own body/identity! But now that he's been termed I'm sure they're all gonna mass delete their posts to avoid accountability once they're done celebrating

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that tumblr banned a very prominent Black trans man who is notably a transfeminist. Obviously tumblr’s broken reporting system allowed his harassers to mass report him without any evidence but I do think it’s notable that they banned Salem specifically given how public he is.

these people fundamentally have some kind of disconnect from reality where they fail to realize that posts are, in fact, just posts.

the way these people talk about what is, in actuality, a small, loosely connected group of friends and mutuals, nearly all of them transfem, is so fucking disconnected from reality. these people are so eager to find a minority they're allowed to hate, a person they're allowed to kill, and no matter how much faux concern and therapyspeak and liberal language they dress it up in they are still hounding and harassing and calling for the imprisonment and death of trans women they don't like. that can never be acceptable.

they will deny the connection to kiwifarms, to 4chan, to mass stalking campaigns of other trans women, because this time it's just and righteous. meanwhile they will turn around and accuse a small group of acquaintances as being a real actual cult because of, yknow. reasons? they will sneer at the stupid evil tranny for "block evading" by recreating accounts, mock them for blocking or turning off anons or not responding to every horrible allegation. meanwhile they will turn around and cry about how "the cult is reporting my blog and i had to remake", will refuse to engage in good faith (or even at all) with even the slightest criticism because surely anyone who disagrees with them must be part of the pedo cult too!
