The last song of the album! With this, the whole album is finally translated! Yay! This one is connected to “Say it.”, from the perspective of the other person.
This one literally made me bawl, just try listening to the song while reading the lyrics after watching “Say it.”
The name “Yorushika” comes from this song, according to this interview. It’s from this line in particular

This song is my #1 favorite song of the album. It’s so good, and I don’t think n-buna has made something like this before. It’s a slow and serene song with ambient sounds like water drops and telephone ringings incorporated in it. You can hear n-buna’s signature guitar in the chorus but it doesn’t detract from the “different” feel of the song at all. It’s there to remind you that this is still a n-buna song, even with the different tone and style. A perfect song to end the album, in my opinion.

The 4th track of the album! I really, really love this one tbh.The lyrics and composition reeks of beauty and class. Tho I guess that’s typical of n-buna’s works but this one in particular seems more so than usual if I have to be honest.
There’s the connection thing going on in this song again. You can hear the “oh-oooh-whoa-oh” chant of “Cattleya” once after this part

Sorry for the inactivity, guys! EJ just finished translating the last song of the album so here I am with three consecutive posts!
This song is the second track of the album, a very emotional and explosive rock song in contrast to the first very beautiful and calm instrumental track, 夏陰、ピアノを弾く (Playing Piano in the Shadow of Summer).
This song is a total banger! I’ve come to really appreciate it overtime, and I really like the lyrics too (props to EJ for translating this eloquently). I especially love the “oh-oooh-whoa-oh” part after the chorus - it’s so catchy! n-buna said in an interview that he was thinking of something fun to sing on a live while making this song, and I’d say he did a very good job!
This part seems to be connected to 言って because you can hear the guitar solo in the background, but it might just be a nod or allusion. Who knows, we know how vague n-buna can be wwww (he said in the interview that he loves to connect things like that)

Like, tbh, when I first listened to the song and watched the video I was like “wow finally an uplifting and cheery n-buna song!” but after reading the translation I was quickly proven wrong, lmao. I should’ve known better from n-buna tbh wwww.

This is n-buna’s first song as the unit “yorushika” featuring suis as the vocalist. This song is so good and sentimental and the PV is really beautiful :’) :”)
I also really, really love suis’ voice it fits n-buna’s songs so much... it’s soothing but versatile - she can really sound powerful in some songs (like Cattleya/ Blooming in That Summer - do check them out on the album!)

This song is based on Kenji Miyazawa’s children story “The Nighthawk Star.” (the flashing texts in the video are taken directly from the book)
n-buna sure does love Miyazawa’s works huh... another n-buna song inspired by Kenji Miyazawa’s story is Cellist Ultramarine. He also said in an interview that he loves Kenji Miyazawa’s story, for anyone wondering.

[*] “Kekka” (which means something like “outcome” or “result”) has the character for “fruit” in it and can sometimes be translated as “fruit,” but usually in a more figurative sense, such as “the fruits of your labor,” so to refer to it as something bugs can eat is a bit of a play on words.
[**] The use of “nante omou” here (as opposed to, say, “to omou” or “tte omou” adds a note of bitterness or sarcasm, as if the singer is saying “what a dumb thing to think, huh?” I couldn’t quite figure out an elegant way to work this into the line.

This song is the best song on the album tbh (that should’ve got a PV like it’s too good? someone uploaded it on youtube if you want to check it out but yeah buy the album and support n-buna if you can! he deserves it so much)
It’s so unique and it really makes you feel like it’s summer but it’s gonna over soon....
Also it’s the first track of the album and the lyrics contains references to n-buna’s other songs that you might notice if you’re obsessed nerd enough like me. I’m going to list it here! I also tried googling for Morning Glories/ Impatiens but they don’t seem to be in any other n-buna songs...? which is weird since other than those two words those two lines contain words from other n-buna songs (I googled “rokushou/verdigris+n-buna” and thats how I instantly found that it’s in Higuregi but nothing came up for those two)

This song is so good (and sad) tbh please check the album out if you haven’t... so many unuploaded gems there.
I feel like this is n-buna’s most straightforward and to the point lyrics and it makes it feel so intimate and also so sentimental (it’s one of the saddest one, rivaling “say it.” and “the clouds and the ghost” from yorushika’s mini album) legit almost cried tbh ;_;
