This is for fandom-less ideas. I'll make an AD for fandom-adjacent ideas at some point, most likely.
This post is huge, so without further ado, strap in and let's go!
INTRODUCTION
I'm Lume, I'm 26 and looking for RP partners that love to get carried away by their own stories and are glad to be enthusiastic about our 21+ y/o OC's together!
When it comes to writing, I do a lot: starters can go from anywhere from 1k to 5k words. Average replies so far go from somewhere between 300-1k words, depending on the scene, level of excitement, interactions, etc. I'm hoping for someone with a similar lenght/writing flow.
I love getting into my character's head and I love to see yours happen: I want to see the yearning, the longing, the obsession as the story unfolds.
I've been writing 10+ years and do so in 3rd person, past tense. I have a clear narrative style (no AI here at all, folks), though my grammar has room for improvement.
I love to plot. To come up with ideas and scenes and headcannons and things to look forward to in the narrative. I want someone that matches it, that doesn't only feed off my ideas but add to them, and is excited about it. I want us gushing about the characters, fangirling over them, you know the drill. Creating playlists and moodboards and aesthetics and fake newspapers, social media and etc for the characters when possible is also something I have had lots of fun doing and would love to do with someone again!!
Right now, I would love to find a writing partner that can match me in regards to lenght and intensity, but I understand completely that sometimes it takes some fine tuning and chemistry for these things to happen.
GENRE
- First and Foremost: Romance!
I like my content to be more light-headed than most! I am not looking for hurt without comfort or too heavy of an angst! I love the idea of happy endings.
I do love a surrounding plot, be it of action or drama or adventure and so on, but I want the main focus to be in the relationship between these characters and their feelings for one another.
PLOTS
Here are some bare bones of ideas that never ended up leaving the first few replies of RP, the plotting stage or my head that I would love to give another try to, as I love the OC's I have for those and they deserve to see the light of day!
On The Road (Multi-Muse, Contemporary, Rock Band)
Following the successful release of The Imposters sophomore album, the band is stricken with a scare after a traumatic experience of their bassist with a stalker. This leads them to strike a deal with their music label to enhance security and guarantee a safer journey that will take everyone of our members through treacherous roads.
This plot has many different tropes and couples, both FxM and MxM (and possibly FxF!). It has lots of celebrity culture noggings which I love, such as tackling bearding culture, fake dating, the risks of the spotlight and also it's goodness and all around it! I have both male and female OC's for this one and many different tropes throughout them that I would love to talk about!
A Renegade's Protection (Mafia-adjacent roleplay, MxA)
It had been over a year since this Renegade had to deal with the nitty and gritty of his family's affairs until it ended up on his doorstep: his brothers literally throwing at him YC and asking for him to "keep watch" as they "know too much". This random acquaintance turns out to be the heir of a rival organization/family. What looked like a spy is actually someone who was always kept in the dark when it comes to their family history, and who will realize they were never the priority. My character lets them go after such conclusion, but they come back, willingly, after danger comes knocking on their door.
This plot is home to some cliches I really love but is still in a very bare bones way and I would love input on it!!
SETTINGS
This is where the almost-plots are. They are ideas on very early stages.
A Mercenary's Snare (Sci-Fi, Super-Hero, FxA, me playing F)
After fleeing the secret laboratory where she was being experimented on, MC starts to create a life for herself under a Mercenary's company, and quickly grow in the ranks. After a while, it could just so happen that:
- She and Your Character are stuck on the same mission together, and during this, start to question their loyalty to the company and their feelings towards one another?
- She has a mission relating to your character
Etc! Another one to be worked on from the early stages, if you feel that!
Draconic University (Fantasy, FxA, sunshine x grumpy)
Basically the title! I have the barebones idea of a magical school around the concept of dragon riders and some ideas of a society around that that I would love to develop further! I have ideas for both sides of this pairing.
PAIRINGS
Or, if you want more creative control, here are some dynamics I have been thinking about lately, though my want first and foremost is to really flesh out characters together, so if you are looking for that, but has a different although similar idea than the ones listed above, feel free to tell me so!
I love strangers-to-lovers, enemies to lovers, strangers-to-enemies-to-lovers
I am a sucker for random human person/civilian/mortal X a celebrity, a super/villain, a supernatural creature. Opposites Attract, basically.
TROPES
Some of my favorites are:
- Forbidden Romance, Enemies to Lovers, Soulmate AU's, Opposites Attract, Strangers to Lovers, Slowburn, Character growth
BOUNDARIES
- No taboo topics
- No AI in any part of the process. Be it during plotting, the actual RP or images.
FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
I am open to multi-muse, and to doubling. I am also ok with NSFW though only when it makes sense for characters. This ain't sexting (don't be a creep, I am in a relationship), it's about their connection.
When it comes to FC, I'm down to anything but AI, really. I am also down to not having FC's at all: our writing can always do the trick.
Some people consider saying this a red flag, but I will say it regardless: I won't ghost. If I don't vibe with ya, I will let you know. If I don't reply, it's because I'm busy or this post got a lot of traction, but I will get to you eventually.
