Nice anonymous hate message. One problem, I am outside your window at the darkest of nights, waiting, watching--watching you drift slowly to sleep, unaware of the hell that could be unleashed should you slip up even once securing your house. Maybe you forgot to lock a window after airing out a room. Maybe you left the door slightly ajar. Maybe you seemingly did nothing to weaken your safety, yet I am sneaking within your walls; a sound you won't be able to separate from that of a mouse. I am watching you, anon. You can run right now, but even if you outrun me, know that I will catch up with you, as you can't run forever. Once I do have your shaking body in my hands, it's over. It's terrible things have to end this way, but what other choice does this cruel world leave me with? Also, you should improve your sleep schedule this month. Everything is getting easier...
Opposing hysterectomies is an inherently unfeminist thing. Too many times have I seen people say shit like “what if you want to have kids” in response to the possibility of someone getting a hysterectomy, even from other radfems. :/
I dont think that its inherently unfeminist to oppose (or be concerned about) the removal of vital body parts like uteruses IF there is no medical reason why they are being removed. Sure, if the only reason why you are concerned about the increase in women having their healthy uteruses removed is “what about having kids?” then that’s super dodgy. But there are real reasons to be concerned about young women having their uteruses surgically removed, not least because of the aftereffects on the body such as increased risk of heart issues, loss of bone strength, increase in bladder issues and the other hormonal effects of lower estrogen post removal.
So while I agree with parts of this OP, I dont think its correct to label concerns about any hysterectomy as unfeminist regardless of the reason. Because its absolutely feminist to be like “woah, can we question why physically healthy young (often vulnurable) women are choosing to have healthy body parts removed which leads to lifelong complications and health risks.”
My problem with “uterus removal” in any context is the state of sex ed and medical information aviable.
1) sex education has become over crowded with gender issues and that leaves even less space for anatomy. I know many women in their 30s, so went through school before “gender bs” who learned that the uterus was for babies to live in. And for periods. Full stop. Not more. Like they think it’s a pokemon ball or a sturdier target plastic bag. And it wasn’t bad education all in all.
2) does the doctor care? And I mean outside us and other hyper traditional countries I hear many women getting the surgery “greenlit” super easy. While progressive and a win for body autonomy I have yet to hear a doctor explain the function of uterus besides “baby room” even when preparing for the surgery. They inform the women about hormonal imbalance and in the same breath tell them we got pills for that so no need to worry. We can supplement easily what you loose which is simply untrue.
There is a big money/capitalism issue in Healthcare. The pendulum swings between either I wanna rip my uterus out cause it’s not a badyfactory and omg the possible babies. But where is the middle? Where is the informed choice? Where is the information which is not motivated by traditionalism or anti traditionalism? Or money? Removing a healthy organ because you don’t want it is not “normal”. We don’t prevent health issues by removing every single “unnecessary” organ. That’s just dualism imo and peak capitalism aka your body is a machine and can be taken apart, parts can be thrown out and we can replace everything. Iam really skeptical towards “final statements” like that.
Of course if the arguments all circle back around to children it’s bullshit. But what feminist is even that strongly pro natalism? That doesn’t seem compatible with any feminist ideology.
Even on the “babies” aspect of it, let’s not forget that hysterectomies are not new and the history of sterilising people, especially women, is not a pretty one. Sure, if it comes out as “but she’ll change her mind and want babies”, it’s bullshit, but I don’t think it’s problematic to be uneasy with the concept and the normalisation of sterilisation. Hysterectomies were and are still a tool of misogyny.
Dozens of countries forcibly sterilised ethnic minorities, poor women, disabled people in the past century, and some are still doing it today. Of course a lot of people are going to have a poor opinion of it. And even when it’s not forced, when it’s only “offered”, suggested…who is getting that offer ? who is offering ? and who is it benefitting ?
Is it really because they want to respect women’s reproductive choices, or because if they’re not pregnant, they’ll work more ? It is a known issue in some Indian districts that many female workers are pressured into getting hysterectomies by employers so they don’t miss a single day of work because of periods, pregnancy or reproductive issues caused by their bad living conditions. Some of them can be very young. Is it really consent when you don’t know how to read, and that not getting it done is risking your wages and risking infections ? Hysterectomies should not be normalized or seen as normal birth control. We see how some employers in the west pushing and paying for their female employee to freeze their eggs and delay pregnancy, and they don’t do it out of the goodness of their hearts, they benefit from it, do we really want them to start “offering” permanent sterilisation too ?
Sometimes hysterectomies are “offered” with a C-section, are we sure that white, wealthy women are asked “sure you don’t want tubal ligation while I’m in there ?” as much as poor, black or roma women ?
Why have I heard random people say things like “pregnant again ? won’t someone sterilise her yet ?” when they see women with a lot of children. Like it’s such a funny joke to say. Not “5 kids, I hope it’s by choice”, but disgusted animalistic words, comparing mothers to dogs, cows and hens and calling for someone to make her stop. Why do we hear so many white western politicians criticising single mothers, African women who are “overpopulating” the planet, poor women who “pop out babies for benefits” ? As long I keep hearing things like that, as long as society is still disgusted with women’s bodies and reproductive functions, you won’t get out of my head that sterilisation is more control than liberation.
this trend is making rounds on twitter so uh. 2017 vs 2022 me

If trans women are female then why do they need artificial estrogen. What’s the point of claiming “uh well we have tits and estrogen and feel period pains so unless you exclude infertile cis women we actually are female by your definition :)” to be female by my definition you are not born with a dick
@meeaaoo as someone who is ftm, i can understand them relieving their dysphoria. this still doesnt make them female.
why would you publicly admit to this???
Save the girlfriend
When men tell you who they are, believe them
I watched a tik tok where this woman investigated the old crusty men who follow little girls on Instagram and surprise surprise, many of those men had “DDLG” in their bio while following hundreds of girls under the age of 10- many of which are gymnastics or dance accounts because they show the girls in leotards or dress them up sexy.
So yes actually, DDLG IS deeply connected to pedophilia because it both attracts, welcomes, and normalized pedophiles, no matter what kink activists tell you.

@7sincerelyzee7 i mean buck angel himself openly acknowledges that he’s female
1) it was shown that gay cis men's brain scans matched trans womens (because all the trans were also exclusively attracted to the same agab). brain sex isnt really studied enough to soundly use as an argument
2) surgeries and estrogen create a feminized male, not a female (same thing but opposite direction for trans men; they're masculinized females). lots of trans women still have very male skeletal structure, voice, socialization, not to mention that Most Trans Women Don't Even Get Sexual Reassignment Surgery. and for those that do, its still vastly different from a real vagina.

So you think that womanhood is defined as a state of being sexually appealing?
