i think ryland would grow to understand stratt’s choice with time, and even thank her logic of it because it led to his meeting of rocky, but i dont think he’d ever really forgive her for what she did to him

(Ryland had to prep rocky before they touched down to meet Stratt so he wouldnt charge her at first sight)

saw this post a few months ago and i genuinely think about it every time i open ellipsus and sit down to write

it's all too easy to feel discouraged trying to write as a hobby in a world where people tell their slop machines to shit out entire books for easy profit or instant self-gratification

but i also kinda think the rise of ai slop has almost made me less critical of my own work.

of course i want to write the best i possibly can, but what's the use in pouring over every single word for hours on end to chase 'perfection'? i'm a human, not a robot. so what if a sentence is a little awkward here, or a touch too rambly there? it came out of my human brain in an awkward, rambly mess.

what's wrong with leaving a little of your humanity on the page?

isn't that what art is, after all?
