“ Cresselia! I’ve been hearing whispers, but I didn’t think I would get to- Oh, how rude of me! First things first— I’m Fay, it’s a pleasure! ”

    The lunar swan chuckles lightly at the other’s enthusiasm. It was not often that she’d come across a fellow being of legend, and even less often with one of such intriguing colouring.

“The pleasure is all mine, my dear. You may call me Nyx.” She says with a slight bow of her head. “I must say, this is certainly a first time seeing a Celebi sporting such wondrous hues.”

White trees beckon with skeletal hands in the low mournful howl of the wind. Indeed, there is something otherworldly about these dark woods - as though it lingered between dream and reality… As though it were inviting her in. 

Pale silver branches and red leaves rustle as they seem to bend and warp into a pathway. The wind, behind her now, urges at her back coercively. 

Oh, Sweetest Dream, pretty fool - the wind almost laughs - these woods are the hallowed grounds of the DARK TYPES you so fear.

   She swears she could hear words and voices tangled up in the winds as it snakes between the branches and around her, coming to settle behind her like a tailwind. Noticing that there seems to be an open pathway into the forest (she was sure that it was not there before), she cannot help but feel that she should venture inside.

    Wordlessly, her glowing figure takes the plunge, stepping into the shifting pathway. Guided in by the wind, its sneers went unnoticed by the swan as she wanders aimlessly through the woods, leaving a faint glowing trail in her wake. 

    Had she known that this was a haven for the beasts of shadow, she would have turned tail and never looked back, but she had assumed this was the work of ghosts, or a forest spirit, and thus pressed on within the winding trees.

    She sits at the edge of the forest, eyeing the trees, noticing how they twist and writhe in the wind. It brings a chill down her spine - there was something so undeniably unsettling about these woods, it felt as if these outer trees were gripped by the talons of death, despite being inexplicably alive.

    Staring within the woods, she can make out ever-shifting figures and shadows. While it did not scare her, she was certainly not at ease.

    “Hello?” Comes her quiet, almost hesitant word. A whisper on the wind, carried in-between the trees and into the forest beyond.

    It was a rare occasion that the Dreamweaver should find herself face to face with a Rainbow Phoenix, even more so when said Phoenix has feathers that glisten like gold. The beauty of the Ho-Oh’s shiny feathers rivals her own iridescent blue and yellow feathers (a fact that strikes some sort of nerve within her.) But this is no time for thinking about beauty, as much as that pains the Cresselia.

    “Greetings, dear Ho-Oh.” She bows her head courteously at the bird. “What brings you to my Isle?”

    In a similar vein to how Amaura and Aurorus can change the colours of their veils at will, Cresselia is able to change the colour of her tail and wing auroras. She is able to change them to reflect her mood (which is typically the most outstanding reason as to why she does so), as a reflection of her health (paler, more faded colours show that she is most likely ill or weak), or simply just for show.

its  been  a  long  day   /   traveling  a  new  region  you’ve  never  been  too  before.   it  was  all  so  interesting   /   until  you  found  yourself  on  this  isle.   you  wandered  aimlessly   /   no  idea  of  what  to  expect   ,   or  if  you  would  get  out  here.   still   /   you  wandered.   &   as  though  on  some  cue   /   someone  appears.   although  they  speak  words   /   it  all  seems  but  jibberish  to  you.

❝    the…   dreamweaver…   ?    ❞   the  way  you  spoke   /   slow   ,   dull   ,   even  more  compelling  traits  that  indicate  that  you’re  tired.   ❝    what  are  you  even  talking  about…   ?    ❞   nightmare  dispelling  feathers   ?   /   although  it  sounds  intriguing   (   it  was  not  any  nightmares  that  plagued  you   )

    Her face falls as the Lycanroc speaks. She understands that he’s tired and all, but... ‘you could’ve been a little nicer about it’ is the prominent thought floating around in her head.

    “Er... I suppose a proper introduction is in order.” She says with a sigh. Way to make yourself look stupid in front of a traveller, Nyx.

    “I’m a Cresselia - one of the deities that hail from this region. I and the feathers I shed have the ability to grant good dreams to those who suffer from bad ones. The locals refer to me with a myriad of names and titles, one of which is ‘the Dreamweaver’. I couldn’t help but adopt the funny little titles into my mannerisms.”
