Brief intro: I'm currently only writing for Babyshark ship, hopefully will be more open to write for more pairings and characters. This is a sideblog, so I apologize for not following back, I'm not too keen of sharing my main on here.

What I write: Dark romances, taboo dynamics and kinks are all up my alley. I like a lot of weird things, so get that block button ready.

What I love: Sevika Arcane, Olivia Dean, pink, cowboy smut, and EPIC The Musical.

honestly Sevika is Indian American to me not only because the name 'Sevika' is Hindi and rooted in Sanskrit origins and i would guess most commonly emerges in India but also bc this is just me violently projecting my own first-gen Asian immigrant experience onto her. i see her as a millennial 1st gen which means her parents might have immigrated to the states roughly in the late 60s/early 70s shortly after the 1965 hart-cellar act which specifically opened the borders to skilled labor (cough and for the purpose of serving american economic pursuits). i think her parents would have been from a highly educated class in India. i think she grew up poor as her family found their bearings and had to deal with the privileges that came with upward mobility later on in life. ((i have SO many hcs about modern!sevika's family life oh my god thats a whole other rabbit hole))

but it's not meant to be limiting is what i'm saying. i know her VA is Black and Puerto Rican (AND A NEW YORKER TOO LETS GOOOOOOO) and honestly since the creators obviously gave a dick's worth of thought into naming her character ("female servant" get fucked fr) it doesn't have any bearing on Indian Sevika being like. THE ONLY true hc. Indo-Caribbean Sevika is so valid to me. Punjabi-Mexican Sevika is so valid to me. Pakistani Sevika. Sri Lankan Sevika. 2nd gen Indo-African-American Sevika. the South Asian diaspora is by no means a monolith. and all identities are deserving of representation.

CYAB Redesign & Recreate Challenge #1

Peni Parker (Spiderverse)

Challenge Dates: May 1, 2026 (05/01/26) to May 15, 2026 (05/15/26)

For someone who is a 14 Japanese-American teenager, she was depicted as a racial stereotype of a generic cutesy anime girl character while erasing her unique, interesting, and complex backstory from the comics. They didn't seem to parody classic anime that would make more sense for the aesthetic and themes of the film either, Evangelion being the most common example brought up. They did this to the robot's design too 😭 (second image above for comparison)

A couple of people pointed out if the movies are from Miles' perspective, it implies that he views Peni as this anime stereotype instead of being a fully realized teenager like Gwen, which is... not great to say the least. She already had less screen-time (which is fair because she wasn't one of the main spiders in the film) but unlike Peter Porker and Spider Noir, Peni was noticeably written with less presence

I didn't really mind the school uniform because the original comic version also has her wearing something similar. It makes sense with the context of this more quirky comic relief portrayal as well. But I personally like how the comic uniform feels more true to what an actual American high-schooler would wear and more in line with how her character should have been

a term for black queers who are feminine/femme! the term and flag design is meant to relate black femmes to being beautiful and lovely, in every shape and form. i coined this term myself and also created the flag myself , since i didn't really see any terms for black femmes as stud is for black mascs. stemme doesn't really fit for me personally.

This shouldn't be a controversial take, but BIPOCs shouldn't suffer for the sake of "realism". The term "realism" means accepting and/or prioritizing practicality. It's to depict life as it is. There's more to us than just our pain. So if you think the only practical way a BIPOC can exist in "realism" stories are through our sufferings, go ahead and stand in front of the mirror, because you have something you gotta admit to yourself.

Even in my previous blog, I always get weird asks about me identifying as a man, but really I don't know how else to describe it.

My understanding of gender&sexuality is vastly different from the way people on here talk about it. How femininity and manhood manifest through my cultural understanding has no english translation, because my native language is a dead language (and even if it's not, I also won't just share it online for queer people from the global north to jump at it).

That's why I kind of stopped engaging in online feminist discussion too (Unless it's discussed hand-in-hand with decolonialism, typically with other feminist thinker who are BIPOC). I know when people say "feminist perspectives" and "what makes a man/woman sociologically" on here, they're talking through anglo-centric lenses. They're not talking to me.

I mean, how am I supposed to explain that I am a daughter to some part of my family, a man to another—by the blessing of my ancestors. Even if I do explain it, none of you would even begin to grasp the concept.

Also got an ask once saying that I should just identify as a woman to not make it confusing for people. That's transandromisic.

Another one was asking if I believe men can be oppressed for being a man, which I find odd that they ask this on this blog, where I mainly post about my writing stuff. I talk about how oppression manifests when marginalized identities intersect with manhood more extensively on my main blog. it's really just interesting how the identity—which is only a small part of me btw—I disclosed in my writing blog, suddenly made me susceptible for questioning regarding Men101™️.

But sure, since everyone and their mother seems so curious: I'm not a cis man. My relationship with man-ness (I guess), is entirely cultural, and also part of my indigenous spiritual framework. That's really the best way I can describe it.

Genuinely, if I got one more ask about "do you think men are oppressed?" i'm gonna start throwing hands.
