I was trying to get a photo of all of my baby crested geckos on my hand and I managed to get very lucky with my timing, this is quite possibly the funniest photo I’ve ever taken.

a cat is a sort of machine that dispenses hair all over you and everything else in the room
"exercise will give you more energy" gets said a lot as a common piece of health advice but I think it needs to be expanded into "exercising will make you tired while you do it, and you will continue to be tired immediately afterwards, sometimes even the next day too, but over months of consistent exercise, your muscles will get stronger and therefore get less tired out by everyday activities, making you feel like day-to-day life takes less physical energy than it used to"
Fresnel Lens
In early 19th century lighthouses, a reflector placed behind a whale oil lamp beamed a light seaward. In poor weather, the light was not strong enough to warn mariners away from dangerous shoals and headlands. In 1822, Augustin Fresnel, a French specialist in physics and optics, invented a special lens that eventually illuminated more than 250 American lighthouses.
Fresnel stacked glass prisms into concentric rings shaped like a giant beehive. The prisms bent light into a concentrated beam, which could be seen from 20 miles away.

don't go into the humanities because they're unprofitable and don't go into stem cuz its getting torn apart right now and don't go into buisness because it's competetive and speculative and don't go into education because it pays like shit. Just lay on thr ground. Just lay on the ground.
