So last Sunday we celebrated my roommates 29th birthday and I gave him the first volume of the Apothecary Dairies LN. He hasn't watched the anime or read the manga at all so he was only vaguely aware of what's it's about. He started reading it today and fifty pages in he comes to me and :

Roommate (From my bedroom door) : Is it supposed to be an enemy to lovers relationship?

Me : Yes. :D

Roommate (As he leaves) :

Me (Shouting after him) : Don't worry it's a slowburn! >:D

Roommate (shouting back) :

So yeah, I'd say he's enjoying the books! Can't wait for him to reach book 6 and realize they've barely made progress!

Seriously why are people getting so pissy over the concept of wanting to have our safe space in the internet to just breathe a little? No I'm not here for the discourse, I'm here because the world is scary and I'm looking for my tiny bit of happiness to help me through my irl worries. That doesn't mean I don't care about what's going on out there or that I'm unwilling ro consider different opinions than my own. But not wanting to do it all the freaking time and wanting to enjoy myself without being aggravated or aggravating anyone else isn't a big deal! It's healthy even! Besides internet arguments against strangers aren't exactly known to yield constructive result. I'd rather save my energy arguing with people I actually know thank you very much.

I already stress out at the slightest thing, I don't need discourse on my page on top of it!
