| thinking about sleepless nights with bf!Hongjoong
Neither you nor Hongjoong had ever been good sleepers, and it only got worse after you moved in together.
At first, it was staying up until 2 am because sleep didn't find its way to either of you before it. But it slowly worsened over time.
Then it became 4 a.m. "I swear, love, I'm just gonna finish this, then we'll sleep," he'd murmur into your hair, pressing a kiss to your head. Even after that, you lie in bed, embraced in each other's arms, watching movies, tiktoks, or anything - still encased in the warmth of bed.
Movies soon became entire series you watched without a blink of sleep. Your current favourite was some cooking show, but that soon became your downfall.
Tonight, you are watching comfortably until both of your stomachs begin to grumble. You think it will pass, but half an episode later, he is dragging you out of bed to make something.
Something quick, he said. Something to ease the hunger, then you could finally sleep, he said.
But here you are at 5 am stirring some soup that name you have already forgotten, with his arms around you and his head in the crook of your neck, mumbling "Mmm, smells good," or "How long 'til it's done?" every few minutes.
You weren't sleepy, not even drowsy at this point. Just warm and loved.
"When is it done?"
"I swear to God, Hongjoong, I'm gonna strangle you."
He whined and gave you that pouty, cute look he always does when you use that specific tone on him. You put the lid on the pot, turned around and leaned on the counter with your arms crossed. "Don't be so impatient, baby."
His arms held the counter at your sides, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "I'm just hungry," He whined again, keeping half an eye on the rattling, slowly boiling pot. "You know, I love you." He murmured into your hair, one hand moving to hold the back of your head to his lips.
"Mmhm," You hummed into his shirt, soaking in that familiar, calming scent of his cologne, "Love you too."
