a dream smp pokemon au, yet again made by myself and @shadesofvioletvoid (you can also find them on @slimesidian)
HOO boy let me explain this one.
SO. we made a pokemon au that follows the plot of the dream smp but not fully. we made the entire smp one of the regions and altered the plot slightly to fit our ideas for the au.
This comic is supposed to happen when, in canon dream smp, Eret leads the l'manburg squad to the final control room, and says his famous line of "It was never meant to be."
in this au, though, eret only leads wilbur (the leader of the L'manteam) to a van, full of supplies (which, they were running low on over at L'manteam HQ)
but, of course, eret also brought champion dream and his team with him, so wilbur gets arrested, for crimes he didn't commit.
eret is then promoted to be the league's chairman, but he'll always remain guilty for what he did to wilbur.
Dream became champion because he is an inherently strong and talented trainer, and he will do anything to stay on top. That includes going after anyone who dares to speak against him and his malicious behavior.
Wilbur is also a very famous and strong trainer, who is thought to have the power to become the new champion. His battles have been on television multiple times and he's gathered a large following. But, when he decided to form the L'manteam and directly speak out against Dream and his actions, and promptly got framed for blowing up a few things (courtesy of Dream and his team), the opinions on him became...mixed, to say the least.
