I lied, I’m not finished, it’s past the deadline but I still want to talk about Ronan.

The juxtaposition between his impossibility and his realness really gets to me. This is a character who brings life to cars and birds by giving them names. Half the fun of TRC was watching Ronan become made, even as he was unmade. He is a bramble that doesn’t untangle, and by that I mean he’s just a character that breathes so loudly you don’t have to double-take. There he is. Loving and loved, dreamer and dream, just a kid in car that you slow down to avoid. Ronan casts a shadow.

hmm this is such an interesting and intricate question.because, for me at least, love changes. some mornings it is mom sliding me a piece of toast without looking, some afternoons it is a friend laughing so hard she surprises herself, some nights it is smearing mascara over the pillowcase because he chose a Tinder date over his best friend.I wish that I had a definitive answer. if you were an alien, I like to think you would already know, that love is not bound to the earth. some people don't even know love until they see the stars.I wish that I could have answered this immediately, but I think I would have said much less. thank you for this, & have a wonderful night.
