Batman being abusive to his kids is so fundamentally wrong and makes him a one dimensional character and I personally hate it.

“Oh the dark gritty character is dark and gritty and mean” hey how about the dark gritty character is dark and gritty because he has to be. He’s such a bleeding heart that he can’t let his enemies (and sometimes allies) know how much he loves and cares. He loves so much. He loves his city, he loves his kids. He’s full of so much love yet he can’t express it because he’s never been taught how. And maybe he’s harsh but it’s because he couldn’t imagine what he would do if he lost another kid.

Batman is a hero, not a villain and it’s a disservice to make him behave like one.

I’ve learned many great lessons about Communism the past couple years, and really the only troubling thing for me is that I am simply too disabled to do much for the movement beyond spreading education material. Thankfully I think only reactionary leftists view this as some kind of moral failing, when materially I simply can’t physically do things that regular workers can do, and the best communists I’ve met have been extremely understanding of this and even protective of me. I have some really kind comrades irl too.

Still I wish I could do so much more.

One of the most important lessons I learned in customer service is that no matter how much help you need, as long as you're nice about it, you won't even crack the top five of worst customers they've had to deal with that day. I will walk an old lady through every step on that pin pad with a smile as long as she's polite, because two calls ago I had to deal with someone screaming about politics for 45 fucking minutes because I wasn't allowed to hang up on him.

Everyone has their first time doing something, everyone makes mistakes, everyone has dumb moments, and as long as you're choosing kindness I'll just laugh it off and help out. Because no matter how dumb you think you are, there was already someone who was just as dumb but was determined to ruin my day over it.
