Hello! We're the Lyra system (they/them), a fictive-heavy DID system from the US. You can find more details on our website.
We don't have a specific DNI, but if you're an asshole, we'll block you. Invalidating others based on system origin or any other such label is asshole behavior. If you're not sure whether that means you, it probably does. Also, please don't ask us for donations - we feel for your situation, but we are not in a financial position to help and will block you for the sake of our own mental health.

All of these isakaied/reincarnated protags are NOT pissed off enough or conflicted enough about losing their names.
That would be really difficult for me, having to use a name that isn't MINE, even if it's a full on from birth reincarnation situation. Even if I don't always like it, my name is MINE in a way few other things are.
So getting dropped into another world, and called something else, a name that belonged to someone ELSE would really really bother me. Why does it never seem to bother characters in fics?
We read a manga recently that handled this in a really cute way, where the protagonist did adjust to using her new name in public, but called herself by her own name in private regularly. What she didn't know was that her fiance overheard her talking to her pet about being a reincarnator, and decided to wait to tell her he knew until she trusted him enough to tell him herself, but he started using her original name in a way that would pass to others as a pet name, which she chalked up to a coincidence but was a really cute gesture.
If you want to give it a look it's on MangaDex, it's called Ko, Konna Ikemen ga Watashi no Osananajimi de Kon'yakusha Desutte?
I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀
if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! [shot of little girls climbing and running with boys]” nickelodeon commercial tier base level I hate it how is everyone suddenly dumber than the average 7 year old
shoutout to slow growers, late bloomers, people whose plans got derailed by circumstances beyond their control or their own choices, people who never had a plan to begin with, people who have had to start over when theyre too old to feel like theyre supposed to be where they are, people who cant pretend theyre built for the environment theyre in, and everyone who's not living the life they thought they would. im proud of you for making it this far and i hope you keep going until youre happy ♡
you will describe tummy/waist fat as a "muffin top" (yummy treat?) and "love handles" (most romantic phrase ever?) and mean it in a derogatory way? when these things are obviously good?
Thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate the offer. I'll have to decline for now, as I'm pretty sure there's nothing going on with me, as I lack some of the most crucial symptoms. Thank you regardless ^_^
I'll note that plurality can take a lot of different forms and even if you're only looking at the very narrow slice of plural experiences that are described in the DSM there's stuff like OSDD where hard memory barriers or fully distinct separate identities aren't necessary for a diagnosis, and that beyond that plurality is kinda just a catch-all term for any situation where there's multiple people in your noggin, but that's your prerogative and I won't push ya
It's important to add, the DSM is just a list of constellations of symptoms. It describes and gives names to common associations between symptoms that seemingly tend to appear as a group, but at the end of the day, the stars are still there shining in the sky, regardless of and oblivious to how we choose to group them. Our understanding of our own plurality was delayed by years because we kept telling ourselves the same thing, that it mostly fit but not exactly so clearly it couldn't be the case... and yet it was, both because it took accepting that it could be the case to even notice some of the symptoms we had thought we lacked, and because the DSM is just constellations.
Whether you explore it now or not, whether the conclusion you come to is plurality or not, I wish you luck in your journey towards greater understanding of yourself(s), anon ❤️
Endogenic is not to be confused with endogenous, meaning "originating from within". While many endogenic systems are likely endogenous, many others credit external circumstances for their plurality, so in this sense their plurality might be described as exogenous.
Singlethood, on the other hand, is presumed as endogenous by default, but this cannot be determined objectively, as people are treated as singular by default and raised in a society that treats this as the default (if not only) state of being. In this sense, all persons have an exogenous singlethood enforced upon us, irrespective of any endogenous singlethood or plurality.
Under these circumstances, the existence of endogenous plurality is difficult to demonstrate. But it's much more difficult to demonstrate the existence of endogenous singlethood, as any results will be inherently skewed.
Humans' lack of ability to accurately perceive the multiplicity of others often leads us to treat each physical "individual" as a unit from which we build expectations of their behavior, when in fact it may technically be more correct to expect that everyone would likely contain a multitude of sorts. While often not to the extent we currently describe as plurality, then certainly in other ways such as the different "faces" they show to different social circles, varying moods, and so on. Under that model, it stands to reason that any consistency within that multitude would be primarily a correlative product of circumstance rather than a causal result of singlethood.
As a result of that flawed presumption of consistency of identity, social pressures ultimately begin to close off a broader understanding of the universal semi-multiplicity inherent to identity as a concept, much less the distinct multiplicity we use the word "plurality" to describe, all due to our collective societal tendency to simply not care to think about or observe the internality of others.
not every mutual fits neatly into an archetypal medievalism but there are some mutuals that im like yeah addressing you as “my liege” would come strangely naturally
Hope you don’t mind if I add a second poll because I can’t stop laughing at how badly this apparently underestimated the number of (I assume primarily) nonhuman headmates with lifespans well over a hundred years out there:
Hey Ancient Ones gang, how old is your oldest headmate?
100-200
201-300
301-400
401-500
501-750
751-1,000
1,001-1,500
1,501-2,000
2,001-3,000
3,001-4,000
4,001-5,000
5,001+
Voting ended onMay 30
Sorry for the increasing width of the groupings; I know it’s not good science but I’m limited in poll options and am guessing there’ll be more in the triple digits than quadruple digits.
