Edens Zero’s Future & Truth Behind Fairy Tail: Hiro Mashima Interview 2019
@SaraSoueidan: Dear men, This is how you greet a veiled Muslim woman (a Hijabi). Hand on your chest, not offering to shake hers. 🙋
so prominent BLM activist deray mckesson just retweeted this which i think is super cool for various reasons :)))
I did not know this. Is it OK for a non Muslim woman to shake hands with a Hijabi? Or do we do the hand on chest thing too?@popcanpoli
hey so i don’t wear a hijab and i’m not muslim so i definitely don’t have the authority to answer this question (or any other questions i’ve been getting abt this) (i’m just a lil canadian politics blog i didn’t expect this to blow up lol)Â
BUT here are some tweets by the original tweeter (who wears a hijab) that clarify some things

This is also good if you’re meeting an Orthodox Jewish person who’s not the same gender as you!  Not all Orthodox Jews hold by this restriction, and many consider it a permissible exception to shake hands in a formal greeting context; I’d guess this is parallel to Ms. Soueidan’s last-quoted tweet above.  And as that says, the sensible thing is to wait for initiation.
learned something new. awesome
hello i grew up muslim
and this is all true
but its not completely strict, i think it depends on the culture
in some cases like in malaysia we still salam to our elders or peers whether male or female. as long as the opposite gender is not under wudu (ablution)
but we do put out hands to our chest as a sign of respect
i like to see it putting their greetings to our hearts
also thank you for being interested in our culture <3Â
ALSO i don’t think its disrespectful at all to offer to shake hands

Hello everyone,
I had my senior recital recently in December, I could finally perform one of my originals that I had composed 2 years ago. It was a long journey and I enjoyed every moment in berklee as a dual major in Computer Music Science and HowToNotFuckUpOnStage Science.
I want to thank my beautiful players involved in this piece, and of course Andrew Bong for helping me expand it!! This piece wouldn't have been the way it is without them <3
Guitar: Zack Auslander Piano: JennHwan Wong Bass: Jason Mountario Drums: John MacDonald
i hope you enjoy the piece. Some of you know this already, but I'm unfortunately on a break from playing the violin for Idon'thowlong I'm not the kind of person who likes to tell everyone about it and i feel bad every time someone brings it up, or asks if i'm okay but I feel the need to address this cuz I've been getting asked to play for some gigs/recordings in the near future. i'm just gonna be honest here, i'm not okay but im never gonna give you up and im never gonna let you cry and friendly reminder to always stretch

Special Thanks to Joe Carrier for guiding me as I improve my mix from a final project of Studio Writing class to the final submission of my portfolio. This marks the end of my Berklee journey.Â
This music video wouldn’t have been possible without the people I’ve mentioned above. They gave visual life to my music and I am so thankful to them for agreeing to take part in this fun video. This is what happens when you have good friends, low budget props, and great cameras!
