Live and learn but its awakened Taka and Hajime.
i hope in 2x2 we see more between Izuru and Hajime. Because I saw someone talk about how Izuru was throwing Hajime self hatred back at him and I've never been the same when I realized that. Just the idea of seeing a version of you say everything you thought about yourself is so tasty to me.
100% agree!! That is so peak and seeing Hajime break and crash out again oooh I LOVE it! Their screentime and lore should've been longer and more expounded on than Junko's since they're the actual mastermind but it doesn't feel like it to me in sdr2.
That one image
Your art is so good and tasty. I love your linework and touches of horror. I'm a very happy anon.
Thank you so much!!! I'm also happy you like it despite the messiness ;v;!

Hellooo I think you're referring to no from pixiv, they did most of the dr cast ^^. I can do sketches for now since I'm currently busy ;-;. Feel free to ask tho!
Goodness gracious! Ikaw 'yung nag-shoplift!
You know its actually a shame Ishimaru and Hinata are trapped in completely different games because they're actually really good foils for each other. They have the exact same mindset about society but Ishimaru's response is much more productive and self-empowering and hopeful. I'm actually surprised that Ishimaru seems to respect Hope's Peak as much as he does, considering his philosophy and how strongly he sticks to it. Perhaps it's less respect of Hope's Peak itself and more the fact that it is a school that he respects it. Ishimaru doesn't consider himself to have a talent. He got to where he did through hard work and effort (though it could be argued that the intensity in which he puts to his studies and his role is a talent in and of itself within the DR universe). Instead of wallowing in self pity like Hinata did, Ishimaru saw the status put upon him by society and said "fuck you! I'll show you what I can do!".
I'm thinking that, all things considered, Ishimaru probably did not respect Hope's Peak at all, but accepted entry and aimed to graduate with flying colours just to show what someone could do if they put their mind to it.
I've previously portrayed Ishimaru as having a very low opinion of the Reserve Course. But now I really wonder if that's true. I wonder if he'd have a lot of sympathy for them, and see them not as a seperate co-hort, but students of Hope's Peak Academy of the same merit as him and every other talented person there. I feel like he'd have reservations about the fact that they paid their way into the school, but would judge them on the merit of the effor they put in before anything else. It doesn't seem like students of Hope's Peak have to sit an entry exam or anything to get into the school, they're just scouted.
I think it would've been really interesting to see Reserve Course Hinata and Ishimaru interact. I dont think he could've saved Hinata, he likely would've dismissed everything that Ishimaru said because, technically, Ishimaru does have a talent and he doesn't. But I still think it would've been eye opening for him.
OMGG YESYESYESYES I had the same thoughts as well!! I kinda thought their characters were somewhat similar to Naegi and Komaeda, like Ishimaru but went down the wrong path and mindset. I'm torn on what their dynamic would be. Will Hinata develop some envy and/or admiration for Taka?? Cause if Taka got scouted he might have a chance.
Just to add to DrS, there's an interesting exchange between Hinata and Shuichi about investigating on Hope's Peak 👀. Imagine their reaction finding the underground lab and other dubious stuff.
