I'm not saying I have a basement twink who I torture, but I'm saying that if I did, it would be low-key problematic to give me shit about it because I'm a woman and a lesbian in a scientific field and also I literally have past trauma and a lot going on in my life that can cause me stress and this is how I cope. Are you seriously saying that a woman can't turn to science to cope with stress? That's so problematic...... “Oh, hello. Who are you? You look like some kind of deer… Are you magic?” Twilight asked, looking at the creature in front of her. He certainly didn’t look much like anything from her usual world. Although most of the creatures she met recently didn’t usually tend to.

Chopper was pleasantly surprised by Twilight Sparkle's demeanor, happy to see that magic was something that might not be beyond his own use. The little reindeer snickered at the idea of getting to do something none of his crew knew about, surprising them during their next encounter.

"I'm a man-deer!" Chopper hoped that wasn't about to be too confusing. He tried simplifying the answer to its barest text to avoid further questions, but just to be on the safe side, he continued.

"I'm a reindeer who ate the Human-Human Fruit, so now I'm a man-deer! It's a Devil Fruit! They're supernatural things that grant the eater a superpower!" This was probably a lot to take in for a newcomer, but Chopper smiled softly and decided to be patient with this odd pony-like being. He figured if she was acquainted with magic, it probably wasn't her first time seeing such a thing as himself.

“Ah yes, that makes sense!” Twilight replied, seeming to understand the concept. “I’ve never heard of that kind of fruit before, but I have certainly heard of similar things.”

If she were back in her human world, she would probably try to catch this little man deer creature in order to do further tests on him and study him more. But considering she was so far away, and also currently a pony, that wasn’t really a possibility. But maybe she could still study him, in a way, by spending time with him and learning more about him through conversation. The concept of friendship and socializing was still a bit beyond her, however. Was it weird to invite someone you just met to do an activity with you? Honestly, she wasn’t sure. But she decided to give it a shot, anyway.

“Do you like ice cream? There’s a store near here that I visit whenever I’m around, they have the best ice cream. My treat! Maybe we can hang out and talk more there?” Twilight was happy he seemed so interested in magic. If he said yes, at least they would have a good conversation topic.

Chopper looked up at the bizarre talking pony with a soft chuckle escaping him. This was an oddity on his end too. He'd never seen a mink horse and this one seemed too much like a four-legged beast and not enough like a human to be one of their tribe. A new race perhaps?

"I'm Chopper! Did you say magic? That's real!?" His eyes sparkled excitedly at the mere thought of such an incredible claim, not doubting it for an instant due to his own naiveté. "Can I learn it!? Is it fun to use!?"

Twilight found it hard to believe a creature like this could be anything other than magic, but his enthusiasm at the idea of it convinced her that he probably wasn’t. Outside of humans, ponies, and the normal animals that existed in the human world, Chopper was probably one of the first new species she had come across. Definitely the first who could talk, which made this all the more interesting.

Twilight smiled. “My name is Twilight Sparkle! And yes, magic is very real. Although…” She paused for a moment. In all this time she still hadn’t fully figured out how exactly to use it. Admitting that was embarrassing, and she was a fairly good liar, but only when she knew what she was actually talking about. If she lied about this, he would probably figure out the truth fairly quickly.

“Well, I’m not fully sure exactly how it works just yet. Although in my little experience actually using it - it is very fun to use.” She added with a smirk. Twilight had plenty of questions of her own, however.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly are you?” Twilight asked, only realizing after she said it that it could perhaps come across as rude. She silently hoped it wouldn’t offend the creature in front of her.

“So, apparently, the ‘bad vibes’ I’ve been feeling are actually ‘severe psychological distress’.”

“Yeah, I’ve been there. You just have to ignore it with the power of hyperfixation.”

"Yeahhh... I don't think that's the best idea." Applejack said as she grabbed an apple from one of the baskets nearby and bit into it.

"Besides, doesn't that just make the situation worse? Ya gotta face things sometime."

Twilight shrugged. “I mean, technically there’s a 50/50 chance of things working out on their own.”

Twilight was surprised by how often she just ignored a problem, usually unintentionally, only for it to suddenly not be a problem anymore. “It could work!”
