Hello there! My name is madamee (21+ she/her) and I'm nearing the end of my junior year in college (thank fucking god) and definitely want some new discord roleplays to entertain me throughout the summer. My rules are pretty simple even though I don't have a post for them, just ask me. I do like dark roleplays, even some that are smutty but not like pure smut you know. Right now I only do m×f with me in the female role and use realistic face claims for my characters (I have a ton that I use but some of my main ones are Adelaide Kane, Charlotte Hope, Medalion Rahimi, and I'm starting to add Camila Morrone to my list as well) and I love to chat ooc, make crackship gifs, playlists and other headcanons with characters, fully express the characters and roleplay.

I may be enticed to do fandoms but most of the time it's just original plots and characters. Hey since Amino is officially dead, I wanna share this crazy story that happened a few years ago before I deleted the app. So it's like 2020 maybe, and I'm in this one group that is based on Ilvermorny, the North American wizarding school, and all is fine and dandy. It's fun, for a while and I made some really good friends that were pretty chill. But of course, there is always that one person that was not chill. It would make sense if this said person was like a teenager or young adult, but this person was like 30 give or take, and a co mod so crazy person with power. Anyway, I joined another roleplay group, that was like an original setting and characters and shit, which turns out it was founded by a co mod from that Ilvermorny community, and there were other people that I knew already in it. I'm thinking, "this is fun, I can test out new ocs of mine, that aren't tied to a toxic fandom, great" but oh it gets crazy. The other co mod, the 30 year old bat shit crazy mod, found out and blew up on everyone. She gave like an ultimatum, like you can't be in both groups, you have to choose. And so I, the semi rational person, choose the group that isn't run by a 30 year old psycho with a god complex, and low and behold I'm still friends with people from the original setting group and we talk on discord often. The moral of the story is don't be friends with someone that roleplays as themselves in a group with literally teenagers.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
