Indian Wells 2026, Final: J. Sinner def. D. Medvedev 7-6, 7-6
golden boy’s in shape
i will never shut up about these colours
sometimes it makes me sad that jannik doesn’t have an iconic match for himself yet. like the rg25 final, uso22 qf, even the ao26 sf — matches that transcend the confines of the sport into something more, something to be remembered for years to come. and no matter how much both players will be remembered for such feats, there were still winners and losers, and jannik was more often the latter (despite roger federer lauding « 3 winners in paris » after rg25). i so want that for him, a different kind of magnificence immortalized alongside his signature brutal efficiency.
alors, a manifestation for the season! my very good friend janniksin will win a match over 4 hours, preferably a final, saving match points or championship points along the way, no biggie
you just wait sunshine, we will be there 🫵🏽

Watching the 2022 USO QF between Sinner x Alcaraz currently and one detail jumps out at me, in stark contrast with - for example - 2025 Wimbledon (that fall scene is just so iconic now)
Carlos has a few slips and falls in the 2022 QF but Jannik is UNMOVED (I think for one he holds a thumb up to check in but that’s it). He’s fist pumping, not concerned, nothing in the eyes.
Just reflecting on how fast the night changes, etc 🥲
(Also idk if this was before or after Carlos started his public manifesting? If anyone knows pls lmk)
Man I get carlos because if I saw THIS and found out that i was the only one who could really take him apart and make him feel things I would get so drunk on power that I would also call on the cosmic and the divine to keep him with me forever
