I was a Wester semi-aquatic dragon that lived in a dense forest in Madeline Island on Lake Superior.

I had mostly blue top scales, color ranged from a basic blue to slightly darker blue, w/ shiny dark green under-scales. My belly scales were a dustier lighter blue, and I’m p sure my eyes were green. 

In my dragon life I hoarded mostly smooth lake rocks that peeked my interest, bones from prey, drift wood, dead bugs I found interesting, and any sort of gems stones and crystals I came across. I p much hoard the same things in this life, with the addition any shiny lil trinkets I find (I love old keys brrr)

I’ve known about being dragonkin for multiple years now. Dragon isn’t my only past life kintype, but it is a major one and so I thought it’d be useful if I centered this blog around it.

I think this is a good subject for the therian community to reflect on and consider. The real life vampire community has been through a lot of the same issues as therians and this video goes over how it played out.

For instance,

-is more visibility a good thing?

-Whats with the competitiveness of distancing oneself from human identity (ie psychic vampires not being treated as “real”, bloodlusting vampires while psychs suggest blood vamps “just do psychological feeding”) being analogous to physical vs spiritual therians.

One moment I really like was about a post someone made about how maybe this experience happens because of neurodivergency or mental health issues or chronic illness, but that shouldn’t be invalidating especially when living life as a vampire is improving their quality of life.

I appreciate Strange’s approach to the community, and is the best video ive seen about an alterhuman community by an outsider in terms of respect and genuine curiosity and not being treated like a freakshow.
