Madeline smiled and shook her head. "Hi, Max. I'm not mad at you. People kept coming up to me today about my pregnancy hoax scandal from one year ago. They either laugh at me or mock me and I'm getting a migraine." She complained, massaging her temple. "How have you been? Still as reckless as ever or are you turning a new leaf?"
"So you faked a pregnancy, do you know how many dumnb ass people post those fake pregnancy announcements on April Fool's Day?" He asked and shook his head. "I'm doing fantastic, and of course I'm still reckless, I wouldn't be me if I was safe."

Madeline sat alone at a table, sipping her coffee after helping out at one of her family's bakeries. She'd come there when she missed the quiet life with her aunt in Tuscany and wanted to prove to her parents she'd really changed. It's exactly one year since she ran away when her scandal broke out. Faking pregnancy to keep a man. Real low, Maddie.
A group of girls at the nearby table started laughing loudly, their eyes fixed on her as they made snide comments and mocked her. She met their stares with a fake, sarcastic smile that quickly turned into a sharp glare but their words kept coming. Lowering her head, she curled her hand into a tight fist on the table, flames peeking faintly through her knuckles as anger and frustration rose inside her. Don't let it win. Breathe, Maddie, breathe.
Then she felt someone sit down across from her. "If you're here to talk smack to me, get the hell out." She raised her head to look at them and realized it was someone she knew. "Oh, it's just you. I'm sorry, I'm having a bad day. To what do I owe the pleasure?" She took a slow breath, unfurling her fist completely and letting the fire fade away. "You hungry? I could get you something, on the house." @ggstarterblog
"Well hello there to you too, Maddie." He said with a smile and sat down across from her. "What's going on with you? I mean, besides getting mad at me for no reason at all."
"Jesus fuck." Sterling covered his ears and winced as he heard a loud scream in Central Park. He uncovered his hears and sighed. "Apparently someone just saw a celebrity. I'm not sure if I like or hate my fae-hearing if I'm being honest." @ggstarterblog

They say justice is blind, but lucky for him, he saw everything. The busy cafe didn't hide much, not from him anyway. Seated comfortably in the corner, laptop open beside his coffee, Ren watched the room with sharp, observant eyes. Behind his glasses, his mind was already working, noticing details others easily missed.
He spotted a familiar face walking over with a tray and gestured them to sit, just as he ended his call. "Yeah, I'll be there as soon as I'm finished here. Bye." He placed his phone down and looked up with a calm smile. "Hey, how are you doing? Don't worry, that seat's not taken." He said as he took a sip of his coffee. "Did you go to the Coachella thing? Feels like everyone went there except me. Looks fun but my work cannot be put on hold." @ggstarterblog
"I'm doing pretty damn good, how about you?" Max asked as he sat down across from Ren. "No, I did not go to Coachella, it's gotten too....common for me, if you know what I mean." He shrugged. "How are you doing? I mean, besides missing out on music's biggest cash grab?"
