Kickstarting Braille RPG dice

Emily writes, “64oz Games is working once again to improve Braille accessibility in popular board games, this time in tabletop RPGs. This kickstarter will allow them to purchase a high resolution 3d printer to produce a polyhedral die set (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 & Percentile) with Braille as well as print numbers. This will also allow them to continue to produce high quality Braille teaching materials that improve Braille literacy world wide.”

There’s more to this than just putting Braille glyphs on the dice – they have to remain balanced! $10 gets you one die, $50 gets you a whole set. The rewards are danged cool, too, including Braille dice earrings!

DEAR DIGITAL ARTISTS

This is NOT okay, do ya`ll see how small and brittle the new nibs are?? I usually only draw in weekends (I don`t press hard either) and now I have to change them every 3 weeks. 

Complain. Tell them this isn`t okay. Don`t let big companies rob artists because they have the most reliable products.

By doing this, wacom makes digital artists spend almost 50 dollars every year compared to MAX 4 dollars every year on NIBS. This is so wasteful and not something everyone can afford. Wacom is just getting away with this and giving absolute bullshit excuses.

If you all wacom users want change, you gotta do something about it.

I bought a tablet protector cover thing! It’s like a plastic cover and it was only like ten bucks. The pen and paper feeling is no longer there but I don’t mind and I haven’t had to get a new nib since. Also it’s easy to peel off if you don’t like it.
