I liked this video
accurate
something from today's pod episode i haven't really been seeing anyone talk about but has been haunting me all day is phil saying that when he was born being gay was considered to be a mental illness. like just that sudden jolt realizing how recent the strides in queer acceptance have been, considering phil lester, the guy i know as silly modern internet youtube creator, has had his lifetime overlap with an idea we consider so outdated and could've genuinely ruined his life if it had stuck around longer
i think what's more shocking (in a good way) to me is seeing all the younger people being surprised by it? because obviously as someone in my 30s i grew up in the same time with that same rhetoric and i genuinely forget that people who are now in their 20s had a WILDLY different experience to us and did have a base level of queer acceptance that did not exist in the 90s/2000s
this is why pride is still SO important!! this is why queer education is critical!!! because yeah one of the most influential young gay men of the internet age was born into a world where he could have grown up to be considered unsafe
i'm so hung up on the pushing beds together thing. getting twin rooms to try and avoid being clocked at youtube events while other youtubers were out there making a huge joke out of them (when dnp were part of the reason those bitches could even have youtube As A Job) on some real "may god dan and phil forgive you because i won't" shit rn.
once again blown away that it didn't tear them apart. what do you mean you spent all night hyper aware that your peers were hoping to catch you two with your guards down for content but the second you were safe you clung to each other for dear life. god.
what's more fluffy than a cat & a bear? :3

say it with me guys. that's -
the fact that dan, who has struggled so much with loving and being kind to his past self, is with a man who so openly still loves and thinks fondly of that boy because that's who he fell in love with.
So far, in this post hard-launch universe, we are at Dan & Phil lovingly feeding each other grapes on camera every six months
*SPOILERS for good omens 3*
I’ve never had a story’s ending make me feel all the feelings in the universe at once. You name it, I felt it. At an indulgent level, it was not what I’d wanted for the two of them, for all the reasons. But, I do think this is a RIGHT ending for them. True to their characters and their values. True to the essence of sir terry pratchett, as well.
So here’s why. On the second watch, what really struck me was how badly Crowley actually WANTED this, that this ending was fulfilling the wish he’d had since the beginning of time. Yes, it was always a love story for the two of them, but just as strongly, it was a love story for humanity. And for as much as Crowley and Aziraphale would have had some happy years together if they’d stayed in the original universe, they still would’ve been faced with the pain of losing it and each other eventually.
Because make no mistake. God offered to put it back to the way things were, and that’s exactly what they’d get: A war-hungry heaven and hell chomping at the bit to put forth the next apocalypse. And since God wanted that universe to end, it would end. Quite ceremoniously and horribly, knowing heaven. And I think Crowley knew this immediately, what her cheap promise actually meant.
So I do find it incredibly beautiful that Crowley was given his heart’s second greatest desire - to see humanity have a real chance at free will, and for earth to have a multi-billion year experience rather than a six thousand year one. And all the while, his first desire was there beside him, holding his hand, beaming at him because he thought he couldn’t love him any more than he already did.
And they find each other again anyway. Fall in love and grow old together. They are so completely happy. And I fully agree with the theory that “time after time” in the background is our promise that they always find each other, over and over again, in every era, every universe, every cycle, every bookshop. It’s lovely. It’s poetic. It’s eternal. I don’t know how you make love any bigger than that.
if you think about it, agnes nutter probably saw this coming and did nothing to stop it. she's the real villain here
