People complaining (ESPECIALLY tervo fans wtf??) that Solar Opposites s5 isn't good because there's "too much tervo" or they seem "too fanfic-y" are the reason actual good shows get cancelled all the time.
Terry & Korvo have barely changed. The only difference is that they've offically left the holding back stage & feel free to be as gross about each other as possible. If you were to go back and do a rewatch you'd see the gradual build up of them being annoyingly affectionate towards each other. They just realized their species can in fact feel romantic love & got married. How did you expect them to be??
Also the show didn't turn into the Tervo show like some claim. The family dynamic is still very much there and Jesse & Yumyulak had their fair share of focus. It's only a 10ish season type of show with 2 other plotlines being juggled so ofc some seasons will focus on some characters more than others.
Hulu & the writers actually decided to pander to shippers & now the shippers are proving to them why fandom can never be satisfied. Solar Opposites is one of the few shows that didn't toss crumbs with an implied gay ship the entire series as a way to bait viewers and y'all are complaining?? They're still as violent & wacky as ever so I don't understand the hate at all. We literally had a looney tunes episode with gratuitous violence and yall are seriously saying the show turned into a romcom?
