Fun fact, weight loss is not “the cure” for PCOS

It has not been and it never will be. Weight gain is absolutely a symptom, and a lot of people are uncomfortable with that, but being thin does not magically fix your hormone levels or vanish the cysts from your internal organs.

If a doctor ever recommends caloric restriction as a “treatment”, walk the fuck away.

try to look at your worth like a sky full of stars. they are always there. but it can't be seen all the time because of sun, cloudy night etc. that doesn't mean they aren't there right? it may get hard sometimes to see your worth due to various reasons but please remember that none of those things take away your worth. its always there from the moment you were born, unchanged and still and glowing. just like you are so sure the stars are there despite whether you can see it or not, i assure you you are always worthy whether it's hard to believe it or not. have a great day my love ♡

I have been struggling with accepting my gender and asexuality. I feel as if both are linked for me. I desire a completely neutral presentation and body, and I don't know if this is due to my discomfort with being seen in a sexual way. I'm not sex averse, but being taken in any sort of sexual context without my consent makes me super uncomfortable. Basically I'm worried that I'm just over complicating things and I'm mistaking my discomfort with sex and sexualization for dysphoria.

Take a couple deep breaths… and let go of the worries. Say good-bye to them.

Sometimes the only way to figure out what our feelings are the root of is to just let ourselves feel and get it wrong a couple times. It takes time and patience and a lot of time to work through complicated feelings like these. If, right now, identifying as nonbinary helps you feel more comfortable, then do that! That’s the right choice for you.

Identifying one way now doesn’t mean you have to identify that way forever. But maybe identifying as nonbinary will help you be more comfortable coming to grips with your relationship with sex/sexualization. Or maybe after identifying this way for a way will help you realize that yes, you really are nonbinary.

Take chances. Let yourself make mistakes and misidentify and explore and experiment. This doesn’t make your journey or identity invalid or wrong or fake. It just makes you human. So take a chance. Take a chance on yourself. We gotta grow somehow, and honestly taking a wrong turn can help us out so much more than refusing to take any turns.

(Also, it’s cool to make this confused, unable-to-separate-it area your home. I know there’s arogender (x), where your aromanticsm and gender are inextricably linked, so I’m sure there’s acegender where you feel the same about your asexuality and your gender.)
