Intimacy is not someone touching your skin. That is easy. People touch what they want all the time. Real intimacy is uglier than that. It is saying the sentence you kept buried because you were sure it would change how they looked at you. And then they do not punish you for it. They do not get cold. They do not store it for the next fight. They just sit there with the truth in their hands and do not make you regret giving it to them. That is rare. Most people want access to your softness until it requires character.

if you are someone who gets really anxious and feel bad about having a negative thought or an intrusive thought and feel like it will become real because you expend a lot of your energy into it then here's a thing: it's probably because you've read or heard that thoughts are power, thoughts manifests itself into reality or your head simply says it is how it works. while it's a motivating concept for your dreams and goals, it can also make you anxious when you have disturbing thoughts.

fact is, thoughts are just thoughts. they are only powerful when you act upon it intentionally. having a great career is nice but the journey to it is full of actions which manifests that thought or that wish. exercises which help you focus on a particular task or a thought are simply tools to get your focus and subconscious actions to align with it. action will always speak louder than words.

you are safe as long as your are not acting upon it. you are safe. you are protected. you, your friends and family is safe and protected. the disturbing thoughts and images in your head are lifeless and powerless simply because you don't want them to be happening in reality.
