Hijack Grizzly ni Osowaretara

Well, it’s not completely finished, but I’m satisfied with the result. Maetir, my original character, is part of the How to Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians universe.

A young mage who prefers the company of books and mythical creatures over that of a group of hunched old men with long beards nearly touching the ground and terrible tempers. His mask was broken after being attacked by a magical creature hunter. He was separated from his home and family at a young age by a group of mages who taught him everything they knew. Over time, he grew tired of that life and chose to set out in search of what he felt was missing.

And here’s a version of him as a young mage. I’ve read many fanfics that involve mages and magical creatures in some Hijack stories, so I wanted to make a version of my character as one of them.

Our little brother grew up so fast!

It’d be so cute if Jamie was the tallest out of the three of them! Jack’s canonically 5′10″ (I think) and Hiccup’s 6′1″, which would make Jamie about 6′3″ here! Dawww :’’’D

The Golden Light

Suddenly the sound detector picked up on a low frequency. Jamie’s eyes widened. Something was coming directly towards him – and coming fast. “Oh gods, oh gods, uh.” Jamie’s hands fluttered in the air. He wasn’t wearing Frostbiter’s bracelet. He didn’t know whether to reach for his camera, or grab his gear and bolt, or lie down and give up, and his window of opportunity was closing by the second. The entity decided for him, picking up speed as it barrelled straight at him. Camera it was then. If he was going to die, then he would die vindicated.

Carny voice: Get ya OTNWAS Spinoff Ghost-Hunter Jamie one-shot here! We got ya ghost hunting shenanigans, we got ya 18 year old Jamie being a badass, we got ya healthy dose of Hijack. We even got a Percy Jackson-esque fight! But most importantly, we have a story about two big brothers and their little light.

This fic started off jokey-jokey but quickly ran away from me and got really sentimental. And long. I’m happy with how it turned out! I highly recommend that you read OTNWAS ahead of this, but it should be accessible to new readers too! Thank you to @jjackfrost for writing the OG parent fic, beta-ing, and helping patching up that massive plot hole! And a huge thank you to @destinyisagift for your incredible design and headcanons for Jamie’s “Frosbiter” sword!

Hijack Week Day 3 - Moving In Together

Hey you seem like a good artist (considering the amount of time I spent hypnotised in front of your drawings) and I wanted to ask you how do you draw people kissing??? I can’t seem to understand how to do it and maybe you could explain your technique?

Hey! You seem like a good... Dude? LMAO

Ngl I fly by the seat of my pants with every kiss I draw. 100% recommend using references for them above all else! This isn't going to be super in depth, I'll just sketch one and show you the different stages.

Make sure the lips look like they’re smushing instead of slotting like two pieces of paper lol. There's a lot of nuance you can capture in a kiss beyond just the lips locking though, so I highly recommend making a Pinterest board of kiss references to pull from!
