Writing an email is so easy and I will tell you how it's done. This is the advice is for everyone with an email job, but you can apply it to normal human interaction.

The FIRST SENTENCE is the thing you want the recipient to do. Do not make them guess.

I want to let you know about ... (This email is to inform someone of something not to ask them to do anything)

Could you please do ... (This is a request. You want them to do something).

I'm looking into x and wondering if you can help me (this is also a request but for information instead of an action).

People do not want to read an email and even if they do read it, most people are skimming and not interested. Tell them what you want first, then provide context or other information (when you need a thing is often key). If the email is informational, you can even add "you don't need to do anything, this is just to keep you informed!" People will appreciate not having to figure out what you want from them.

If you can't articulate what you want the recipient to do with the message, you are not ready to email them. I read too many emails where I have no idea what the person wants from me.

Put the most important thing first and everyone will be impressed! AI cannot do this for you because it can't tell what's important! Only you know that, which is why you must write your own emails.

From a oneshot I’m working on where Bond swindles a car from 003, chiefly because he was mean to Q.

Moneypenny leaned back on her desk. “Tell me you’re totalling that car.”

Q huffed. “You will not total the car.”

Bond looked at him. He’d affected a faux sort of gormlessness that irritated Q beyond belief. “I might if he’s loaded up that godawful playlist.”

“I’ll change the playlist.” Q said quickly. “And the GPS narration. I know you like the woman with the—”

He gestured with his hand, hoping Bond would catch his meaning. Were he rebuilding the car for Bond, he’d change quite a lot of things, but he hadn’t the time nor the inclination to engage in that sort of pandering. The best he could do was the playlist, the GPS voice and the kit in the trunk—the latter came standard in all agency vehicles, but Q knew Bond liked it to contain a fresh shaving kit, some rope and an extra pair of shoes.

“Can I have you?”

Q looked up. “Sorry, what?”

“For the narration,” said Bond. “I’d rather have you barking instructions at me.”

Another point that reminds me of my privilege in this world is when I think about the fact that we sell the cure for tuberculosis to people to give to their dogs for a UTI. Millions of people literally die every year because they can't access this medication and I'm giving it to people to shove down their dogs' throats to make them stop peeing in the house. It's one of the more expensive antibiotics and people always whine about the price but then it's not their daughter they have to watch slowly suffocate as bacteria turns her lungs into swiss cheese. It's not their father that coughs and coughs and coughs until he's spitting up blood.

The deadliest infectious disease in human history is cured by the same packet of chewable tabs individually packed in foil. It comes in beef flavor so your dog won't resist taking its meds as much. It's like a hundred bucks for 30 tablets on pretty much any pet pharmacy.

It makes me think about medicine scarcity and how it's all fake in order to get enough capital that you can have individuals with higher net worth than entire countries. And in the mean time, hundreds of millions of people are dead because they don't drive the bottom line.
