Are you ready to get scared?

In anticipation of the All Hallows Eve lets protect ourselves from evil spirits and look through mysterious and scary paintings. 

To avoid becoming prey dead shadow, face with some evil spirits what we prepared for you.

The Temptation of St. Anthony  

Grünewald often painted religious images in the style of the middle ages, though he lived during the Renaissance. St. Anthony has passed several tests of their faith, while he lived in the desert. According to one legend, Saint Anthony was killed by demons, living in a cave, but later revived and destroyed them. This painting portrays St. Anthony, which was attacked by demons.

Mask Still Life III

Emil Nolde was one of the first Expressionists Artists, although his fame soon eclipsed several other Expressionists such as Munch. The essence of this flow is a distortion of reality to show a subjective point of view. This picture was taken by the artist after study of masks in the Berlin Museum.

The Garden of Earthly Delights

Normally Hieronymus Bosch is synonymous with fantastic and religious paintings. "The garden of earthly delights" is a triptych. The three panels of paintings depict, respectively, the garden of Eden and the creation of humankind, the garden of earthly delights and punishment for sins, which occur in the earthly garden. Bosch's works are some of the most horrific, but the most beautiful works in the history of Western art.

Hell

The painting is "Hell" of the German painter Hans Memling, written in the year 1485, is one of the greatest artistic creations of his time. She had to push people to virtue. Memling has strengthened the horrific effect scene, adding a caption: "the hell of redemption”

The Lovers

Tranquil Spree-Ching Wen Tsai’s Solo Exhibition

New York, SEPTEMBER 15, 2017-SEPTEMBER 24, 2017, 6:30 PM-10:00 PM - ARTI.NYC is pleased to present the gallery’s first solo exhibition “Tranquil Spree,” an assemblage by interdisciplinary visual artist Ching Wen Tsai.

In the time when chasing efficiency is the priority, especially in a busy city like New York, the subliminal messages cause anxieties. The intensity and high working/living pressure destroy our spirit. What is the most precious thing we lose in the process? Tranquility.

In “Tranquil Spree,” Ching Wen showcases artwork inspired from Canna Indica, a sort of flower commonly grown in the tropical regions. The seeds of Canna Indica were hard enough to be used instead of bullets when soldiers ran out them in the 19th century. The seeds could survive and flourish after shooting.

Ching Wen expects her audience to engage with the space to reach an altered state of mind.

Diego Anaya

Through this body of work I found the opportunity to open a dialogue about identity, rediscovering it through the stories embodied in each of the artworks.

These stories are memories that speak of roots, origin, of who I am and what I've experienced away from my country, as contradictory as art can be, these same stories narrated on the surface of the paintings bring me closer to home, with melancholy and poetry I speak of ancestors, using a different an unique aesthetic.
