If Buck gets stabbed in 9x13, which I would love btw love when Buck is in a situation, I would love the idea of him saying “I love you” to Eddie and then passing out sending Eddie into a spiral because like 1.) Buck is bleeding out and just passed out so that’s not good and 2.) he just said “I love you” and that could have been platonic and theoretically should be but there’s a part of Eddie that can’t help but hope and be a little afraid of it being more than that but he can’t ask because Buck is dying on the floor of a motel room. That isn’t the only thing I love the idea of, passed out Buck seeing Bobby and talking to him and Bobby telling Buck “you can’t stay here, you need to go home, they need you” and then Buck disagrees and when Bobby tries to convince him he gets to crashout and yells at Bobby saying that no one needs him, that he was alone the minute Bobby asked him to leave while he was dying but then all the fight leaves and Buck just repeats that they don’t need him and Bobby goes “Eddie does” and Bucks eyes open to Eddie still trying to keep Buck alive he sees that Eddie has tears in his eyes and doesn’t understand why he’d be crying. Eddie sees bucks eyes open and is like “there he is, stay awake buck, I need you to stay awake” and Buck is just staring at him trying to figure out why Eddie seems so distraught and Buck is so out of it because of the aforementioned blood loss and he just goes “you need me?” And Eddie momentarily shocked pauses and then starts nodding and goes “yeah, yes Buck I need you” and he goes over all the ways Buck has been there for him and Chris and maybe bringing all of these moments up is making Eddie feel a type of way but he doesn’t have time to unpack that because Buck is DYING on a motel floor. Buck is listening and says “it could have been anyone” and Eddie responds “but it was always you”

ideal living situation is what i call the 'sitcom special' : having all your closest friends live in the same apartment building or neighborhood where you each have your own space but can wander in and out of eachothers homes at will, seemingly always welcome and never at bad times. and also all of you only have jobs when its important to the plot.

fic where steve already knows he's bi but robin keeps trying to tell him. steve's known he's had a crush on eddie for months at this point but today just happens to be the day where eddie walks in during a slow shift at family video and robin looks up at the perfect moment to catch steve's soft, dopey smile.

and in that moment, robin connects the dots. the music in steve's car being just love songs on loop. steve walking into work in a lovesick haze. steve going out of his way to work his schedule so he could always be the one to pick the kids up from hellfire.

eddie ducks into the horror section, and robin throws her full body weight towards steve, who yelps not unlike a stray cat.

"you like eddie," robin hisses.

"yeah, no shit!" steve reaches for the collar of his polo like he's clutching imaginary pearls. "jesus christ, robin, what the fuck."

ignoring him, robin continues. "no, steve," she says, soft look on her face, "you like like him."

steve frowns, nodding slowly. "i-i know that, robin. we're not in third grade anymore, you can say 'crush', it's not going to give you cooties," he says, frown falling to reveal a teasing look.

"wait, what?"

"robin, did you...?"

they stare at each other intensely for what could perhaps be aeons.

I would like to make a suggestion for the 9-1-1 writers that is very important (to me): I want the mustache back. I get that it's meant to be like a mask and is representative of the whole choosing joy storyline, but I want the mustache to come back. It was too good a look to never come back.

My pitch for it coming back and why? Simple. Just say Buck thought it was hot.

Buck tells Eddie, they make it a cute little side thing of Eddie growing the mustache back cause his boyfriend finds it hot and that's reason enough. Everyone else can still make fun of it (Father Brian can even have a moment where he sees Eddie with it back again and gets concerned) and every time Eddie responds with a mix of embarrassment and defensiveness "My boyfriend thinks it's hot" and that's it. He's still choosing joy, cause Buck finding him hot makes him happy. That simple. Everyone would be better off for it.
