summary: you got yourself in trouble and u find your way to his place for him to take care of you
a/n: honestly I just didnt know which character I should link to this so I wanted this one to be whatever you imagine. I used certain hashtags just mainly because I really like these characters/people and thought it could in some way fit them. anyways hope you enjoy:)
you didnât know what to do. you were covered in sweat mixed with rainwater making your way through alleys, occasionally almost tripping and losing your balance.Â
your body hadnât ever felt this heavy before and you thought it might have been the moment where you would lose control over it. you felt like you could pass out any moment.Â
but you kept on dragging your feet until you were in front of his apartment, arms clutched to your side and breathing heavily. removing your hands was too painful and your hands felt too heavy to be lifted to knock on the door. you couldnât move a single limb and you felt all your conscious dropping. your head and body felt heavy.Â
you fell to your knees before you could knock on his door. âplease,â you whisper as not more could leave your throat.Â
you opened your mouth and closed it several times, only small whimpers leaving your mouth. you sunk deeper and dropped your head while cluthing your side harder, feeling a gush of pain and shock run through your body making you aware of the situation again. you gasped loudly and bit back down a scream.Â
âp- please, helpâ, you were able to say louder, but your body almost gave up on you. you fell against the door and hoped with every part of you that it made enough sound for him to open the door. âpleaseâ, you say once more in a whisper.
suddenly the door was opened and you fell inside. you were relieved and for some reason you felt every bit of pain go and allowed your hands to leave your sides. you closed your eyes, hoping youâd feel none of this anymore. hoping the heâd pick you up and, as selfishly as it sounded, cared for you while you were passed out.
âhey, iâve got youâ, he worriedly says as he pulled you on his lap by your shoulders. you felt his hands on your side and you felt another shock of pain run through you as you gasp loudly. you looked at him, but you couldnât make out his expression as you were seeing everything blurry. âyouâre bleeding on your side.â
âI-â you cough, âI might have gotten myself in trouble.â you were able to put on a weak smile on your face. your hand reached his face and you saw a smear of blood on his cheek now. âthank you.â
that was the last thing you were able to say as everything turned black and you lost control over your complete body.Â
your eyes slowly opened and you were blinking away dizziness. it took you a while to understand where you were and what had happened. you were suddenly aware of your aching limbs and your side that was in pain. you felt hot all over your body.
you closed your eyes in effort to forget the pain and suddenly you felt a wet towel on your forehead. you slowly opened your eyes again and stared at at the familiar body hovering over you while he was focused on wiping away your sweat. his eyes landed on yours and he hesitantly pulled his arm away. âyouâre up.â
you took his hand with the wet towel en placed it on your forehead again, liking how it cooled you down. you closed your eyes again, taking in the silence and warmth of his presence. you heard him crouch down and you opened your eyes once more, turning your head in his direction. he stared at your eyes with nothing but admiration and love, leaving you no room to doubt his kindness. you loved seeing him like this, it made you see just how much he cared for you. âI never want you to stop looking at me the way you are doing right now,â you whispered.
âyou scared me to deathâ, he said as he placed his hand on your cheek. âthere was blood everywhere, everything was dark red.â
âiâm sorryâ, you said with a weak voice. âYou were the only person I could think of in that state.â
âjust donât scare me like that anymore, just stay with meâ, he whispered. âand red isnât really your colour anyway. I donât ever want to see you in dark red again.â
you managed a laugh even though it hurt a little on your side. you wanted to show him you were okay now. âiâm glad I came to you. Iâm glad my feet dragged me here.â
he caressed your hair and smiled at you. he moved his head over yours and brought it down. his lips touched yours fairly soft and only for a second. but his gentle touch on you made it feel like time had stopped in that one second. it made all the pain go away for a moment.Â
when he pulled away he looked you in the eyes again and he whispered: âIâm glad I was the person you came to.â
it was dabi who helped you relieve your stress and sadly it was only his body that could provide you of getting weight off your shoulders. of course you wouldnât tell him that, because thatâd be a boost to his ego and a crack in your pride.Â
you were pulling your shirt over your head while dabi was smoking on the bed, only wearing his jeans.Â
you stared at him while putting on your jacket. the air smelled like his sweat and scent and as unappealing as it sounded you didnât want anything else but to jump in his arms and ask for more.Â
but you didnât. because after all you were nothing but fuck buddies, coming together to relieve the built up stress and leaving before a word could be shared between the both of you.Â
âyouâre getting comfortable in coming here more often, I can tellâ, he says and puffs the smoke out of his mouth. he glared at you with half hooded eyes. âjust to make it clear, we are just-â
âfuckingâ, you say with a smirk forming on your face. âI know.â
an that is also the reason why it was best that no words were shared between the two of you. because even though both of you craved for more, neither of you asked for it.Â
and all because of that stupid dignity the two of you so dearly held on to.Â
âgoodâ, he says while throwing his cigarette on the ground, not caring about the dangers of it hitting the carpet. âcaring for a second round?â
summary: just a cute âbefore a missionâ moment where reader fixes yuutaâs tie.
a/n: I felt the need to get back at writing after I had a reading spree lmao and I was desperate for something cute so here ya go. no warnings just cute behaviour.
âare you sure this is a good idea?â, yuuta asked as he buttoned his shirt while you were putting on your last pieces of jewelry.
ânoâ, you said, following a long silence.
when you turned around you saw him staring at you with big eyes and only half of his shirt buttoned. âthen why is this going through?â he asked shockingly, leaving his mouth open.
âbecause we are the only ones capable of completing the missionâ, you said while walking to him and placing your hand under his chin and pushing it up so that his lips were resting on each other again. âyou should be careful with your facial expressions, people wonât find you attractive if you constantly make faces like that.â
you walked away to the bathroom and heard him mumble something under his breath, but you werenât able to hear it because you were already too far away from him.
the mission wasnât even as bad as he assumed it would be, you were just always in the mood to play with him.
after putting on some perfume you walked back in the room. you were greeted with a struggling yuuta who couldnât seem to tie his tie. you leaned against the doorframe to observe him. he turned the tie and knotted, twisted, pulled and loosened, but all led up to it being tangled.
you let out a soft laugh before making your way to him. you pushed his hands away carefully and looked him straight in the face.
âwhat you laughing atâ, he said, trying to hold back his laugh.
âa guy who is unable to tie his tieâ, you laughed. âyou looked cute while struggling so I had to observe first.â
âwell are you gonna help me with it then?â he asked.
âyes â, you carefully flattened the tie and started carefully tying it. you felt his eyes bore a whole though you, but you liked it. you liked every bit of attention heâd give you and you loved it even more when he couldnât seem to resist himself.
you werenât a couple, but you were definitely no friends either. it was complicated and being on missions constantly kept you away from having time to spend together. after all it wasnât always that youâd be lucky to go on a mission with him alone.
âwhere did you learn thisâ, he asked in a whisper, still looking at you.
before doing the last step you looked back at him, eyes locking. âI used to tie my dadâs tie after my mother passed away. I just never forgot the technique even after his passing. it feels good to finally be able to do it again.â
he let out a breath. âIâm-â
âsorry?â, you finished his sentence. âdonât be, thatâs the last thing I need you to beâ, you said while pushing the end into the loop you made with the tie. âthere, all finished.â you pat his tie slightly and looked back at him.
his eyes were soft as he was staring lovingly at you. you stared back at him, both of your eyes going from lips back to the eyes and back to the lips. âmight as well kiss me instead of staring at my lips like thatâ, you whispered while slowly pulling him down by his tie.
âI needed consentâ, he whispered back while snaking his arms around your waist and pulling you so close it was only natural that your lips would meet.
his lips were soft and sweet and you felt intoxicated by his every touch. heâd do it ever so gently that you felt your body melting. and you were almost sure youâd had to knot that tie again after that night.
it had been a while now that you were looking at the screen of the tv while sitting on the sofa, but your focus wasnât really on it. you hadnât picked up anything from the show you were watching. you were feeling uneasy and on edge, because you knew. you just knew heâd come over tonight, and something in you told you it wasnât something to be happy about. for some reason you were just expecting him.
dabi had been coming over frequently to take just what he needed, and you just let him. you hated yourself for it, but this is what love did to a person. you just couldnât tell him to leave. because the amount of need he had for your body, was the same amount of love you felt for him. and as unfair as it was, because you knew he wouldnât return the feeling, you still let it happen like it was nothing.
you threw your head back and sighed. your eyes lingered on the ceiling. not that there was anything special, but you just couldnât help but wonder about him. just what happened in his life that he became the person he was now and just what made you so attracted to him. and just what was it that didnât make him attracted to you. but you knew they were questions that would never be answered.
the sound of the tv was disturbing you, frustratingly you closed it and laid on the sofa, just lost in thought. you decided that maybe sleep would get you to forget about the disturbing feeling growing in you.
but before you could even doze off, the door was slammed open. you felt your heart jump and you threw yourself from the sofa to the door, because you knew just what was about to happen.
walking to the corridor in fear you saw dabi angrily walking in. âdabi?â, you said, even though there was no mistaking it was him.Â
you werenât able to move an inch and before you knew it dabi was pushing you against the wall and kissing you aggressively. you placed your hands on his chest and tried to push him, not able to catch your breath properly.Â
you felt the aggression in his movements. he blocked your resistance by pushing both of your hands against the wall. now you were unable to push him away while his lips were still furiously crushing yours while the air was being ripped out of your lungs.
and suddenly, within milliseconds, he slammed his fists into the wall, next to your head. he stopped his movements and dropped his head on your shoulder.
he didnât say a word and you were breathing heavily, chest moving up and down while you tried to catch your breath.Â
âwhy why whyâ, he said while punching the wall with each word,âis it that whenever iâm with you, I just canât do anything to hurt you.â
he looked up again, staring right into your eyes. you didnât have to say anything for him to know the answer to his question, because you knew it wasnât really a question. it was a statement.Â
you just stared back at him, not knowing what else to do.Â
his hands slid from wall to your shoulders, slowly trailing up to your neck to holding your cheeks in his hands. âiâm not going to break my morals in life, just for someone like youâ, he said in a whisper returning to kissing you again.
this time softer, still aggressive in some way because this was his way of making love, you thought. and once again you let him in, but you wish you hadnât. because the morning after he was gone, and you never saw him again. leaving was something he always did and staying was something he was never willing to do.
killing curses required stamina, energy, power... and health. neither of those were in your possession right now. you were tired, exhausted if you could exaggerate. your body was dragging you home and your limbs felt numb. your clothes were soaked because of the rain water and dirt was all over you from fighting curses in the forest.Â
you walked inside your shared apartment with gojo. he was already waiting for you inside with the typical boyish smile on his face. you really wanted to return the smile, but you didnât even have the power to give him a small gesture of love so he stood smiling at your tired face.
losing your balance, you tried to hold yourself up by leaning on the wall. without hesitation gojo came running to you. âyou overdid it againâ, he whispered as he held you under your shoulder.
you felt your body being lifted and assumed gojo had picked you up. he brought you to your bedroom, making sure you didnât have to put effort into any of that.
you were grateful for him. if he wasnât there for you you wouldnât really know what youâd do on days like these.
âlet me run a bath for youâ, he said, and before you could protest he had already laid you down on the bed and was already out of sight.
you could hear the running water of your bathtub filling. you looked up at the ceiling, focusing on the cracks that were on there. you reminded yourself that you would ask gojo to fix it.Â
you lifted your body, feeling the ache spread around like a virus. you regretted getting up, but laying down and expecting gojo to do everything for you wasnât something you liked to do.Â
you dragged your body to the bathroom and rested against the doorway. you saw him sitting on his knees, rummaging through the cabinet under the sink while the water was running in the tub. you assumed he hadnât heard you because he was so focused on reading the description of certain bottles, occasionally taking off the cap and smelling it.Â
you allowed your body to sink to the ground until you were seated in a squat position. âI like the one that smells like lavenderâ, you whispered loud enough for him to hear. that was just as much as you could get out of your throat.
âlavender it is thenâ, he calmly said as he took out the lavender smelling bath salt.Â
he walked to the bathtub and poured a small amount of the salt in de thub and watched them dissolve fascinatingly. it felt like you were watching a 5 year old, though that is what made you smile to yourself. as much as a grown up he is, he still acted like a child around you sometimes, showing his immaturity and vulnerability.Â
the lavender smell slowly spread around the room and unknowingly you had deeply inhaled it, allowing yourself to almost get intoxicated by its smell. your eyes were closed as you let the soothing smell in your system as a form of relaxation.Â
when you opened your eyes again you saw gojoâs face barely inches away from yours. you didnât even have the energy to act surprised, but a small smile definitely made its way to your face when you saw him looking cutely at you. âwhat is it?â I asked through barely open eyes.
âas much of a wreck you look, you look absolutely stunning like always.â he was showing a mouthful of teeth after saying that and no matter how many times heâd compliment you, he would never fail to make you turn red.
he held your hands and helped you up. with his assistance you were able to stand up successfully without having lost your balance. âletâs get you in there before you fall asleep in that squat positionâ, he said as he slowly took off every piece of clothing on you.
you followed his instructions when helping you get into the tub one by none. not that you werenât able to do that on your own, but because he was offering his help you didnât want to push that away. he was doing the best he could, how could you possibly work against that right now.Â
you lowered your body in the hot water and felt yourself soften within seconds. you were melting, almost dissolving in the hot water. the water was burning against you skin, but at that point it did so many wonders to your muscles. you brought your legs up and rested your cheek on it so that it was barely touching the surface of the water.
gojo let you enjoy the hot water for a few minutes and later helped you with washing your hair. he took off his clothing, leaving himself in his boxers as he also made his way in. he seated himself behind you and surprisingly didnât complain about how small of a place you could free up for him.Â
without saying a word he just wet your hair very softly and gently, pouring water over it in such a way that it wouldnât even wet your face. you were grateful. he poured some shampoo on his hand and starting rubbing it in your hair, lightly massaging your head. without realising it you were throwing your head back because it felt so good.Â
âdoes that feel ok?â, he asked as he made circular motions on your scalp.
âmore than okâ, you whispered back at him. âthis is just fine.â
âmaybe itâs time for you to take a break. youâve been overworking yourself again. iâm worried.â
âbut they need meâ, you barely whispered, but he heard you.
âand you need your own bodyâ, he responded.
you closed your eyes, letting him wash your hair further. you didnât respond anymore, but you knew he was right. you knew with every part of your body he was right.Â
âI knowâ, you suddenly whispered. âI know.â
he was silent. the only thing he was doing was finishing up your hair, washing out all of the shampoo that remained in your hair. as he was rinsing your hair you felt your body sink more in the water until your nose was just above water.
he stopped his movement and let you do your thing. he understood the oppression and weight on your shoulder. itâs not like you had complete control over your job. they gave you a mission and you just accepted, because they needed you.
but in reality you knew they were using you. and you just let it happen.Â
you felt two arms snake around your shoulder and you were being pulled up slightly. you opened your eyes again because of his sudden movement. he rested his forehead on your shoulder. âyou knowâ, he whispered,âiâm really proud of you.â
that was all you needed to bite down on your bottom lip to hold back the tears in your eyes. you tried your best to swallow the lump in your throat, but no matter how many times you swallowed it didnât go away.Â
his grip tightened. âjust let it goâ, he said as he planted a kiss on your shoulder. âdonât hold back.â
and you cried.Â
hard.
and he didnât let go of you for the whole evening.Â
Summary: lowkey enemies to lo lovers. When Dabi found out you got hurt by someone, he didnât particularly take it well
A/N: this is a repost from my older account because I havenât had the time to write something new. collegeâs been taking up all of my time sadly, tho I still wanted to provide you guys some content. so hope you enjoy this even with the ongoing circumstances.
You didnât like Dabi. You didnât like how he walked as if he was the main character. You didnât like how he always followed behind you just so he could irritate you. You didn't like his face, that smug smile that appeared when he succeeded in irritating you and that frown when you said to him to leave you alone. You didn't like him. And he didnât like you.
âLook out!â
You spun around quickly, ready to punch whoever tapped your shoulder, but glared when you saw Dabi standing behind you while he was laughing.
âI swear if you come closer to me one more fucking time I will destroy the rest of your not purple skinâ, you said giving him a death glare.
âOh no, I got so scared my tear ducts almost started working againâ, he said with a fake concerned look.
âIf you donât stop I will make sure none of the ducts on your body workâ, you said as you walked away from him.
âOh come on, that was funnyâ, he said as he walked faster coming closer to you so that he walked next to you, shoulders almost touching.
âIf that shoulder of yours touches mine I'll make sure it doesnât touch anything anymore. And for godâs sake leave me aloneâ, you said, closing your eyes and breathing in heavily.
âFine fineâ, he said as he slowed down his pace. âBut will you miss me?â
âNoâ, you casually said as you walked away from him and left him standing alone on the street.
You were shocked at his sudden obeying, so out of curiosity you turned around to see if he was still following you. But you regretted that you did, because the second you turned your head slightly he was standing barely inches away from your face. âIf you wanted a good bye kiss you could have just asked me one.â
You placed your finger on his forehead and pushed him away from your face. âDid you eat tuna for breakfast or something?â
He looked slightly taken aback, but smiled right after. âWhy? Wanna have a taste?â
âIf it means spending more time with you, than noâ, you said as you turned around and put your hand in the air midway. âHope to not see you around.â
âThat breaks my heartâ, he said in a playful tone as his laughter faded the more you walked further away from him.
You didnât like to give him the attention he wanted. You made sure to do the exact opposite. You knew heâd irritate you even more, but as much as you hated him it was in some way some an enjoyment. You were bored quickly so having him around wasnât always as bad, though he didnât have to know that.
You smiled to yourself and walked further down the street. You didnât really have a destination in mind, you just walked. Wherever you would land is where youâd stay. It was a continues cycle.
You werenât really paying attention but when someone grabbed your hand you quickly spun around. âDabi for godâs sake not no-â
You stopped talking the second you saw that it wasnât Dabi. âWho are you?â, you asked with frown while looking the man up and down.
âIâve been seeing you walking around here a lot. you alone?â
âWhy do you care about that?â, you asked.
His grip on your wrist tightened and even though you didnât like to admit it, it hurt. You tried to pull away but the size of this man made you realize it was as good as impossible.
âWhy donât we go to my place huh? Have a little fun. I see you a lot, wandering around the city on your own, thought you might wanted some companyâ, he said as he inched closer to your ear.
âIâll decline, I'm not interested in that kind of stuffâ, you replied, trying to pull your arm away from him. But no luck.
âDonât be shy, I'll be gent-â
You didnât think any further and just crashed your head against his face, making him stagger back, his grip didnât loosen, but you punching your two fingers to his throat did. And the second he let go you ran. You tasted iron and when you brought your hand up to your face you noticed your nose was bleeding.
Trying to wipe that all away was the reason you didnât look in front of you. While running so hard you just ran into someone, making the both of you fall down. Your head felt a little dizzy, but you regained yourself so that you could run away. You just gave the person a simple sorry, not even looking at their face just so you get away quickly. But you were stopped by a pair of hands around your wrist and you felt a stinging pain.
You turned around and took a good look at the person and saw Dabi in front of you with a worried look on his face. âShit face, not nowâ, you hissed at him as you tried running again, but his grip on your wrist, that had been previously abused by the man, didnât loosen. âDabi Iâm serious, let me go.â
He didn't react and only looked at your wrist. It had a red color and it already started to bruise lightly. He looked at you and pulled you closer to him. He looked deep into your eyes and brought his hand to your face. You flinched and closed your eyes, but he didn't move any further with his hands. âIâm not gonna hurt youâ, he whispered. He brought his hand closer to your face now and slowly wiped the blood away from your nose even though it was still running.
He looked at your wrist again. âWho did this?â
âFor fuckâs sake Dabi it doesnât matter just let me goâ, you said looking behind him to see if the stranger was coming and when you saw him you panicked again.
Dabi didnât budge and with half closed eyes he stared deep into your eyes. âDonât make me repeat myself. Who did this to you?â, he said in a murderous tone.
He looked behind him and when he was the man coming closer to the two of you he knew exactly it was him. He didnât have to think twice about your facial expressions because he knew you. He knew you too well.
He let go of your wrist and walked up to the man. And he did something that you didnât expect to happen. He protected you. He helped you and got himself hurt just so you wouldnât have to fight him. Just so you could be safe.
And strangely (or maybe not), you felt your heart skip a beat at that moment.
Later around the evening you were walking a limping Dabi to his place. You never knew he actually lived somewhere and you thought he was just a street bird like you. But apparently not.
âYou know, you didnât have to go overboard like thatâ, you said in an almost whisper while you walked him inside of his place.
He didnât answer.
You helped him sit on the couch and you slumped next to him. âWe should get your wounds treated. Where is the first aid kit?â
âItâs okey, leave it for nowâ, he said, throwing his head back and closing his eyes.
âCome on donât be a bitch about it and just tell me.â
He didnât answer and just stood up with a sigh. He walked away, out of your field of vision and came back later with a pack of ice and the first aid kit. You reached out to take it from him but he placed it next to him and put the ice pack on your wrist with a towel around it. He took out some cotton pads and wetted them. He started to slowly rub them around your nose area to clean up the blood that had dried there.
You held his wrist and stopped his movements. âYou made me drag you here to your place, but you walked perfectly fine to get the first aid kit?â
A smug smile appeared on his face, but it was weaker than normal. You didnât really question it, but it stayed in the back of your head. âDabi, I'm not in the mood to play around right now. you little dick. tch, making me drag you all the way to your place when you could walk perfectly fine.â, you said as he let out a breathy laugh.
âI can agree with many names you call me, but I can assure you my dick is not smallâ, he winked at you.
Your face flushed red and you hit his chest to silence his laughter. âIâm being serious hereâ, you said.
âSo am Iâ, he said in a more serious tone as he continued cleaning your nose.
You let him do that and while he was busy you stared at him. You never knew youâd come to the realization that Dabi wasnât that bad of a person and definitely not bad looking. His blue eyes made you want to stare for a long time and his piercings were a different story you were interested in. But the main thing you were interested in was-
âWhy did you help me out there?â
He stopped his movements and with his head slightly down he turned his eyes only in your direction. He didnât answer yet and only stared at you.
âI mean, I'm never really nice to you and weâre basically always at each otherâs throat. So why exactly did you help me?â
âBecauseâ, he said as he walked away with the blood stained cotton and came back empty handed, sitting next to you again, but closer ,âI care about you and I worry myself over you getting injured.â
He just casually explained it like that as if was nothing. You felt your face heat up, but because you knew heâd make fun of you, you turned your head to the side.
âbut you hate meâ, you said slowly.
âno, you hate me.â
you felt him stare at your back and it made you want to turn around even less than before.
âYour ears are redâ, he pointed out and you could basically hear him smile.
âIâll make your face red if you keep coming at me like thatâ, you said in annoyance.
You felt him scoot closer, but you tried to not show a reaction. His hand came to your face and with his fingertips placed on your chin, he turned your head so that you were facing him. âYou donât always have to be violent against meâ, he said in a whisper as he inched your face closer to his.
âThen make sure I donât have toâ, you whispered back as you closed your eyes and allowed your lips to meet. You melted in his touch and something never felt so right but so wrong at the same time. This was person you were supposed to hate.
But you came to the realization. You came to the realization that you did like the way he walked so confidently as if he was the main character. You loved the way he followed behind you because you knew he did it to protect you. You liked his face, the way he smiled when he got your attention and the way it furrowed when you left him when he desperately wanted it. And you thought to yourself that maybe you didnât hate him and that maybe perhaps he didn't dislike you either.
summary: dabi always seemed to work against your plans so you decided to confront him not knowing what heâd actually after the argument..
a/n: this is make-up for my last fic cuz i was most definitely not proud of that one shxjsjch.. anyways hope you enjoy this one bc I think I actually like the outcome even though it was a bit stressful to come up with the idea.
also,, the ending is an idea I found off of instagram and I was excited to use it here
âwhy donât we just infiltrate friday at the ball?â, dabi asked shigaraki as he was looking at the plan in front of him.
âbecause thatâd be too much of a riskâ, you said, glaring at him and pointing out the obvious.
âa little bit of risks couldnât hurt you once in a whileâ dabi snapped at you with a grin.
âalright sir know it all, just about how do you think to get past all the people and guards thatâll literally be standing in front of every door?â, you asked raising one eyebrow.Â
âweâll figure out a wayâ, he said.
âyou donât even know how youâll do it, so I say letâs not go for the uncertain. I say we do it during the auction. the guards will be located around the auction area and not the main hall that leads to the big office, where we need to be. if we can get someone to hack the system, getting in will be a piece of cake. I figured out thisâll have a 99% of success based on the analytics we have made till nowâ, you said confidently. âplus I think I can do the actual infiltration so I can take that job on me. after all iâm the only one thatâll actually get the job done uncaught. â
âsounds too boring. where is the killing? where is the fun?â, dabi said with a bored face.Â
âno killing is needed unless someone gets in our way. not everyone needs to actually die in order for us to get to the point we want dabiâ, you said irritated at his constant counteraction.Â
âalright letâs just take a break for nowâ, shigaraki said. âfor now letâs figure out a detailed plan for both and weâll choose the one thatâll work out best.â
âbut-â, you said.
âif it means youâll both stop bickering out of hate for once around me I wanna put a pause on this for now. weâll talk about it tomorrowâ, shigaraki said.
âhate? oh no I love her so muchâ, he teasingly said, making you roll your eyes.
âsuch a thin line between your love and hate. I give you guys till tomorrow to work your plan out betterâ, shigaraki said while sighing and taking his leave.
âugh, this is all your faultâ, you said to dabi wile turning away from him and walking to the door after shigaraki was completely out of sight.
âhold on, hold onâ, he said confused as he stopped you by turning you around from your shoulder. âhow is this suddenly my fault?â
âsuggesting plans that dont even make sense?â, you said.
âshigaraki asked us to give him ideas and I did? I donât see the issue hereâ, he said not giving in.
âyouâre just suggesting your plan because you donât want mine to work out. itâs literally so obvious, I donât get why youâre always up in my business and trying to make my plans look bad in front of shigarakiâ, you spat, actually getting pissed at him.
âbecause if your plan gets chosen itâll put you in danger mostâ, he suddenly said. you felt taken aback.
âwhy do you care so much about my so called well being when in reality you donât even like me?â, you asked.Â
âwho said I didnât like you? you just decided that on your own because you didnât like the idea of me joining your little gangâ, he said.
âthats not trueâ, you said.
âthen why is it that you assumed iâd hate you the same way you hate meâ, he asked looking at you with his lips pressed against each other and his eyebrows raised.
âyou always work against me?â, you said pointing the obvious.
âyou might be right thereâ, he said,âbut I have my reasons.â
âthese reasons being my so called well being?â, you asked uninterested.
âyes.â
the determination in his voice made you silent for a second. you were slightly shocked at how pure and genuine his words felt. you werenât sure how to answer on that. but even the slight shyness you felt because of his concern, was overpowered by your anger.
âvery nice of you, but I didnât ask you to care for me. iâm capable of taking care of myself. look out for yourself next time and donât interrupt my ideas for the sake of your selfish desires. weâre adults, so act like itâ, you said walking away for real this time.
âso my sincere words mean literally nothing to you?â, he asked in a slightly angry tone while following you to the common room.
âwhy are you following me?â, you asked, getting annoyed at his pushy behaviour.Â
âcuz iâm trying to get a point across here. itâd be nice if you considered otherâs feelings here once in a whileâ, he said.
you stopped when you were in the center of the room. you were facing him with your back, but turned around with a very annoyed and angry face. âletâs get one thing straightâ, you said taking a step closer to himâ, no one is here to actually create a family bond. weâre here to interfere and shake up the hero world that failed to be actual heroes to us. I do whatâs best for me, but has an actual good outcome for the others too. so donât go around telling me to consider otherâs feelings when all you do is care for your own selfish desiresâ, you bitterly said. âjust when I thought you might have actually cared, you showed just how selfish you are. just when i thought you might not be that bad of a personâ, you said rather disappointed instead of angry.
when he spoke no word you decided to take your leave again, walking past him. but before you could actually get to the door you heard his footsteps and before you knew it he was holding your wrist and stopping you from walking even an inch further.
âwhy wonât you just leave me aloneâ, you frustratingly said.
he turned you around and pulled you close to him. he bent over you and was almost touching his forehead with yours. âyou know whyâ, he whispered. âbecause of this.â
he crashed his lips against yours and there was absolutely nothing soft about it. it was rough and messy, yet passionate. it made you feel hot inside, not the fuzzy and warm type of hot, but a burning sensation you felt all over your body. it was as if he was lighting you on fire.Â
but it felt good.
so good, that you forgot about why you were even mad, but the furiousness lingered and made the tension even bigger. you let him devour every piece of you and you didnât care about the bite marks heâd leave on your lips. lips moving open mouthed and tongues dancing together. you were feeling almost every part of him and heâd groan in between, sending shivers down your spine.
when the both of you parted he looked in your eyes, as if he was staring through your soul. you were searching his face, waiting for a sign that heâd speak.
but instead he kissed you again. but this time softer, warmer. the one that made you feel fuzzy and warm inside. something you never knew he was capable of doing. he was still holding your wrist with one hand and the other made its way to your back. he pulled you closer, slowly and softly. heâd kiss you ever so gently that it felt like he had become a totally different person than only a few seconds ago. but you were not complaining at all.Â
he slowly parted away from you and when you looked at him you saw his red cheeks and closed eyes. and when he slowly opened them you could see a version of dabi which youâd never seen before. that soft look no one had ever seen, all the hatred and anger you were feeling a few minutes ago all gone, overshadowed by the soft look he was giving.
âI thought you hated meâ, he teased, caressing your cheeks while giving you a soft smile.
âthings change...â, you muttered.
âyouâre cute when you donât want to admit things aloud, you know. Go on, just say that you like meâ, he said while stopping his movements on your cheeks and making sure you were looking at him and only him.
you should have seen it coming. him making you feel this way. you always said your personalities clashed, but they clashed so much, that you actually overlooked just how fitting they actually were. the polar opposites, yet the same. you werenât completely sure how to describe it, but it was something you had never experienced before. it could be a challenge coming up your way, but you figured it was something worth battling for.Â
because after all, there was only a thin line between the hate and love you felt for each other.
summary: when yuutaâs disappearance has much more of an effect on you than you every thoughtâŚ
a/n: I had a totally different idea for this,, but it didnât work out so I came with this. not proofread and Iâll probably change certain things when im not high on sleep deprivation.
everyday was a joyful day. well at least, you tried to make it joyful. you didnât see the purpose in wanting to make your day worse by thinking too much so everything was always so sudden, energetic and for some people maybe a little annoying. but those were things you never cared about. peopleâs opinion didnât matter to you. you lived your life for yourself and not for anyone else, so why not try to make the best out of it?
you werenât easily budged so having missed the bus and running to school in the rain instead didnât even concern you in the slightest. you had a toast in your mouth and took whatever drink you had in the fridge and ran out the door with your umbrella in one hand and your drink in the other. you were basically jumping in every puddle you saw, not caring if your socks got wet. a big smile was on your face because who didnât enjoy jumping in puddles with bread in your mouth. you looked at the drink you had taken out of the fridge and got happy that it was strawberry milk, your favourite.Â
with the speed you were running you knew youâd make it just in time for classes, but before you could reach the school building you saw a young man sitting on a bench. head down, hands intertwined and looking miserable.Â
well grumpiness in the morning wasnât for you, so even if you could put a small smile on his face youâd be more than happy. so before you knew it you were standing in front of the guy, holding the umbrella above the two of you. his gaze slowly turned in your direction, his eyes were red and swollen so that indicated that he was probably crying. you gave him a big smile, showing a full set of teeth. you werenât ashamed the slightest. you handed him the umbrella and placed the strawberry milk on his lap.Â
before he could say anything you took your bag and placed it over your head and started running In the direction of school. you heard him calling after you and when you turned around you could swear you could see a faint smile on his face. so in return you waved at him. âsee youâ, you found yourself saying while running through the school grounds.Â
the day after you saw him sitting there again after having missed your bus again, he handed your umbrella and mumbled a thank you and youâd only smile at him and leave with a sprint because youâd miss school otherwise.Â
the day after that you saw him again, sitting yet again in the rain with a miserable look. so you gave him your umbrella and, for this time, banana milk and started running with your bag over your head to school. heâd try to call for you again and youâd only turn your head while running and would scream âsee youâ again.Â
and before you knew it youâd purposely miss every bus and run to school, just so you could see him on that bench every morning. so you could give him your umbrella in the rain and heâd give it back on sunny days and would mutter a shy âthank youâ while youâd scream âsee youâ after every meeting.Â
you started to leave the house earlier so you could see him and maybe even talk with him and when youâd see him sitting on that bench you made your way to sit next to him. he didnât notice it was you yet so you spoke up. âhuh, that much for giving you my umbrella every two daysâ, you said with a pout.
his face shot in your direction and you could see the flush red ears and slightly tinted cheeks as he looked at you.Â
âyou know, buying you an umbrella would solve many of your problems, but I seem to find it more fun to give you mine and get it back afterwards while you thank meâ, you said. âI donât think iâve properly introduced myself.â you rose from your seat and stood in front of him while stretching out your arm. âiâm y/n, nice to meet you.â
he smiled at you and shook your hand. âokkotsu, okkotsu yuuta.â
âdid you know you have very beautiful eyes yuutaâ, you said as you pulled him closer.
heâd blush again and youâd laugh. âiâm looking forward to meet up with you more often.â
and youâd see him every day. every morning ten minutes before classes would start, because even If it were only ten minutes with him they made you feel the happiest. not even jumping in a puddle could relate to the feeling you had when you were with him.Â
you would wake up in the morning trying to look better for him. wear your pretty socks or try to make your hair look slightly better than usual and every so often youâd wear a mask to let your skin glow. you found yourself doing things youâd never thought youâd do for someone. suddenly you cared a lot.
youâd figure out all kinds of things about him. his family, his past, his friends (which he didnât have much). you learned his reason behind his gloomy days and you figured out the reason why he never went to school. âheeh, you pervert. bet youâre just looking at all the passing high school girls.â
heâd worriedly and anxiously try to tell you that was not the case because he was also a high school student, even though you were well aware heâd never actually look at every girl going to school. his reasoning was that he had special tutoring, something youâd never heard before. probably some extra math classes or something. well it wasnât as if it would have much effect on you.Â
it was raining again and you were ready to see yuuta again, but when you were running happily to the bench and sprung in every puddle in the meanwhile you saw he wasnât there. and he wasnât there again for several weeks that turned into months.
mornings werenât special anymore and as much as you hated that this had an effect on you you couldnât help the growing ache in your chest. youâd jump in puddles on rainy days, but they didnât give you as much joy as they used to. you tried to run with your bag on your head to work up some adrenaline, but nothing really worked. nothing gave you the joy you wanted.Â
many months passed and you found yourself being the person you hated. being the person you did not want to become. being the person that thought too much and let negative thoughts overpower your brain.
it was raining again and you found yourself missing the bus on accident this time. so you walked, not ran, but walked to school that day with no umbrella, no flavoured milk and no bag over your head to protect you from the rain. just you walking in the rain getting completely drench. you saw the bench and made your way to it. you thought of yuuta and sat down at the exact spot heâd sit down.Â
you hated every moment. you didnât wanna sit there and remember. you wanted to move on and be happy. who was yuuta anyways? some dude that forgot his umbrella every day? and yet you couldnât move an inch. the rain had stoped, but the sounds were still there and suddenly a small bottle of strawberry milk was placed on my lap. you shot your head up and your eyes widened. and umbrella over your head.
âitâs unlike you to see you so gloomy in the morningâ, heâd say with his oh so familiar smile. he changed. his hair changed and he grew taller. his face matured and he look a lot more calm rather than anxious like he used to be.
you didnât realize it until he brushed his hand under your eyes that you were crying. âwhy did you leave so suddenly?â, you asked.Â
âI canât tell you the whole story yet, but I promise you that I will one dayâ, he said as he placed a hand on your cheek. âiâm sorry for leaving you so suddenly.â
you took his hand and lowered it from your face. âyou canât just disappear for months and come back only with a sorry expecting me to forgive you. iâve been through hell. donât ask me why you leaving had such an effect on me, but it did. I found myself worrying about what youâd think of me, even though something like that never happened to me before. I was happy to see you every morning and I hate how much of a bitter aftertaste you left behind when you didnât show up for the past months. I hated you. I hated you so much, that I couldnât even stop thinking about you. and I couldnât stop myself from caring about youâ, you said through tears.
âthen let me make it up to youâ, he whispered.
you knew what was coming and you let it happen. because you craved his touch and you craved to feel his lips on yours. so when they touched it felt ever so lightly that you found yourself intoxicated by it. you wanted more and pulled him closer as if heâd leave again. you didnât give him a second to break it while letting your lips dance together. your heart was hammering in your chest and your brain was a mess.
you werenât going to let him off the hook so easily. a kiss couldnât stop you from being angry. but the kiss told you that he was ready to stay and was a form of saying that he wasnât going anywhere. so your repeated see youâs were not a waste of hope.Â
you were on dabiâs lap, on his requeqt of course, to put a tongue piercing on him. heâd be impulsive like that, mainly so he could have an intimate moment with you. you werenât together, but the tension was always high and not a day went by without the two of you having touched each other at least once. it was like an unspoken rule between the two of you.
while you were seated on his lap, legs dangling on both sides of his waist, you felt him roll his hip once against you. you felt some friction and gasped lightly. but his eyes were closed and you saw no reaction of him. thinking it was a one time accident you didnât think much of it. but while you were preparing all the equipment you feel him roll his hips occasionally as he let out pants.
this dude really had no shame at all.
âif you want this safely done, youâll have to be careful with your movements down thereâ, you said in a whisper as he stilled his hips.
he threw his head back, exhaling loudly. you rolled your hips in an attempt to tease him. âdoll-â, he said, tightening his grip on your hips in an attempt to stop you from moving any further.
but you had no mercy... at all. if he thought he could start this without consequences, he was wrong. you pressed your lower body harder against him, making sure he feels every part of you against him.Â
âfuuuuuuuck-â, he exhaled.
âtongue outâ, you said while prepping everything.
he laughed. âmake it a quick one, not sure I can hold this any longerâ, he said in a raspy voice while looking at you through hooded eyes and sticking out his tongue.
âthen youâll simply have to bear with itâ, you whispered while placing the metal on his tongue and placing the needle over it. âone, two... threeâ, you said and poked the needle through his tongue.Â
he didnât move, not even flinch. you were confused as to how this had no affect on him. âyouâre good at keeping calm when iâm poking a needle in through your tongue. you can keep up that hard work for other occasions too.âÂ
you finished doing the rest, allowing him to finally answer you. âwhat can I do about you being a fucking tease at the worst moments.â
âwell I canât help it when youâre sitting here so helplesslyâ, you said while holding his chin and bringing his face closer to yours. âI can only think about how badly I can ruin you.â
âI need actions, doll. not wordsâ, he said back.
you tilted your head slightly to the side and a smile tugged at your lip. ânot sure if you deserve thatâ, you said in a whisper, pulling his face closer to allow your lips to brush. he had made an attempt to embrace them further, but you werenât giving in just yet so you pulled away leaving him in despair.
he laughed in annoyance. âjust how long are you gonna keep up the tough actâ, he said, his hands working his way to your back and caressing you lightly.
âas long as it takes to see you break down in front of meâ, you whispered. âbecause Iâm not done with you just yet.â
summary: you, the herbalist of the palace, learn prince touya about the ways of the people in the village. leading not only touya, but also yourself into a universe of emotions never felt. a feeling that was against the tradition of the palace... and against the words of the king.

a/n: this is the first time I have written such a long story, but it was worth every second. I've had a lot of fun writing this piece so I hope you guys enjoy it too!! also, I know I tend to write gender neutral, but for the first time I made the reader female. my next story should be neutral reader like usual, hope you enjoy the read. <3
important: weâre talking about white haired dabi, no scars and not that big of a dick... just a different perspective of dabi while still trying to hold on to his real character. (look at attached image, credits to the graying tower on instagram, twitter and patreon!)
âso youâre telling me you have never payed attention to the outside world?â you asked touya as the two of you were walking down the alleyways. he was looking surprised and confused at all the stands that you were passing.
âno, not really. I just travel outside the city to another kingdom and come back. I donât pay much attention to those peopleâ, he snarled while looking at the people making their money beside the road.
âthose people, you say?â, you said annoyingly. âI happen to be one of those people. donât invalidate otherâs job just because you happen to be the son of a rich king and queen understood.â
he looked at you in disbelief. how could one that entered the palace be apart of those people? those people that sell fruits, vegetables, souvenirs on the side of the road? how could you have possibly been one of those while being able to enter the palace when only the rich and gifted could enter.
you sighed. âI have worked my way up, you see. not everyone gets the same opportunity as me. I happen to... be very lucky I shall sayâ, you said while fixing your long dress and wiping dirt off of it while walking. âI used to be the daughter of bread sellers. well my parents are no longer around, but I found my way out of the streets. perhaps you could learn a thing or two about streets of your own villages I assume, prince touyaâ, you said.
he bumped your shoulder lightly. âsince when are you so polite to me huh. should take you out more to the streets for you to be this formal towards me. I like this version of youâ, he said leaning down and whispering in your ears.
you stopped walking and looked to the right and locked your vision on his face. you squinted your eyes and brought them back to normal. âI am merely a teacher to the children of the palace and a herbalist for your parents, I have no business with you since my king and queen allowed me to treat the rest of the kingdoms as equals. including you. this is only a formality for the outside world.â
âouch your highnessâ, he said. âcouldâve stabbed me with your dragger and it would have hurt less. where is the respect to the future kingâ, he dramatically said.
âdonât call me your highness. plus we both know your father has no death wish yet and doesnât plan on dying before you. until you see the name of king in front of your name you shall already be 6ft underground and bugs might have already eaten you whole. chances that you ever be king will be-â you looked up at the sky and pretended to be counting. â- zero percent.â
he made a face at you, but didnât say anything else because he knew you were right. his father was a great ruler and replacing him would be a job undone. he was a respected king, but touya didnât seem to enjoy that at all.
âenough talk about my dad, is there anything interesting to do here?â he asked while he started to walk again and you followed next to him.
you smirked. âI will teach you the ways of the streets, if you allow me prince.â
you saw his face turn and a smile made itâs way on it, but you gave him no glance.
âalright, I'll leave my choices up to you. donât disappoint meâ, he said in a low voice.
âoh I wonât. BUT, if you want to learn the ways of the streets... youâll need a disguiseâ; you said pointing at the stand with theater clothing on it.
âI what?â, he said while looking weirded out. âI'm not sure...â
âitâll be more than fine, donât worry about it. plus I'll pay the financesâ, you said.
he hesitated for a second and looked at you again, you blinked a few times as if to convince him because of your cuteness. with a sigh he took your hand and walked with you to the stand. he covered half his face with his shirt by folding open the collar of it and placing it over the lower half of his face.
âgood day miladyâ, the man behind the stand said while taking off his hat and greeting the two of you. âhow can I help you today.â
âthis young man needs to be ready for his play in a while, but he forgot all of his costumes in his home which is too far away. you are our only hope so we really need to dress him as a farmer. you could do us that favour with a little bit something done with the price right, for your regular costumer?â, you said, seducing the man slightly to get the costumes for a lower price.
âanything for the missâ, he said with a bow. âchoose whatever you like and weâll deal with the payment last. come behind the stand and choose whatever you like.â
with a smile you pulled touya to the back of the stand and searched in the piles of clothes for something that might fit him. âyour size?â
âI wouldnât have the slightest clue. my seamstress always makes my clothingâ, he said proudly.
you made a face. âdonât be proud of thatâ, you said in disgust. âthisâll do.â
you took a hat, fake moustaches, a pair of sunglasses, a jacket and boots. you threw them on touya for him to fetch and you stood up eyeing him up and down with a questionable look thinking if you missed something.
âyou like the view, wanna keep looking while I put everything on?â, he smirked at you though you didnât give him what he wanted.
you snapped your fingers and took off his strap harness.
âwhoah whoah, if this was your plan all along you should have just told meâ, he said with a wink on which you rolled your eyes.
âI'm only fixing it that it looks like youâre a farmer, not a knight who intends to murder a village at nightâ, you said while replacing the straps. âthat should be just fine. now put the rest on too.â
he put on everything and when he turned around to look at you he held the mustache in his hands. âI'm not putting this on.â
âwell I shall do it for you thenâ, you happily said, taking the mustache and placing it above his upper lip.
while you were busy sticking it to his skin you felt his strong gaze on you and you couldnât stop yourself from turning red. he had no intentions of looking away and for a split second you felt him inch closer, but hesitation took over and he backed away. so you cleared your throat.
after you placed it you took a step back to take a look at how he looked. you placed your hand over your mouth and giggled lightly. âyou look stunning must I say. I wouldnât even recognize you if I saw you on the streets like this on a normal sunny day.â
âha ha very funny milady. but where is your disguise? you see just as much as the people know me, they know you. so come onâ, he said with a smirk ,âpick a little something. the finances are on me.â
you squinted your eyes at him. âfineâ, you said with a shrug and took a long chiffon face mask that would cover half of your face. âthisâll do just fine.â
âcanât believe you got of the hook so easilyâ, he said in a low voice, almost whiney.Â
âwell, shall weâ, you said while already walking after the payment had been done. âthere is a place I would love you to see.â
and before touya knew it he was standing behind a vegetable stand, selling vegetables to his own folks. and all thanks to you and your friend, the owner of the stall.Â
âcome on touya, this is easy work. you should at least be able to that, no?â, you said, trying to get on his nerves.Â
he gritted his teeth and grind them on each other. ânothing I canât doâ, he said.Â
you walked a little to the side, allowing yourself to have a full view on how touya was working. it was a funny sight and you couldnât stop yourself from laughing at all the failed attempts of him trying to sell vegetables. heâd try to sell them, but ended up saying dumb stuff like âhow am I supposed to know when the best season is for this to get ripe.â and it made you laugh from time to time. he wasnât the best at it, but seeing him try his best still warmed your heart. you caught yourself staring at him, but at the same time did he. a smile formed on his face when your eyes connected and you swore time had stopped for a second. but when he turned away to the working you cleared your throat and tried to act normal. because what was a prince going to do with a servant of the palace?
âI feel my bones aching and my stress level has risenâ, he said while slumping his way to you and crashing his head on your shoulder to show just how tired he was.Â
you slightly caressed his hair. âyou did a great job. as a reward, I'll take you to my favorite pub. they have delicious food there too.â
âplease do, I might just die of hungerâ, he said with a sigh as he straightened his posture.
âoh is prince touya already tired? not so good coming from our future kingâ, you joked.Â
he bumped your shoulder and tried to look at you with a fierce expression, but failing badly when you stuck out your tongue which made him laugh. âcanât stay serious around you for a minute.â
you laughed at him while you started walking. you had taken him that pub you told him about and surprisingly he was getting along with the people of the restaurant. he ended up drinking more beers than necessary and sung so many songs, his throat might have split. and not to mention him not wanting to leave and letting you sit the female bartender just because the men were making too much of a ruckus, but you laughed and enjoyed your time, it wasnât everyday you got to see the prince going this crazy without people knowing about his identity.Â
âwell that was one marvelous evening, I should addâ, touya said while walking down the streets with you. it was nighttime and the cold breeze of the night was hitting your faces.Â
âcanât believe you forced me to stay in a pub for a solid four hours with all those bad smelling men. should have some respect to women, princeâ, you said while fixing your hair that got in front of your face because of the wind. âwell, at least you enjoyed your time. I hope I was able to give you a fun day?â
âoh yeah more than fun. canât believe I was missing out on all of this just because I was stuck up on wanting to become the greatest and mightiestâ, he said.
âI still donât get all the fuzz around you wanting be the best so muchâ, you said.Â
the castle was in view and it reminded you that your night together would be over in no time. âto avoid certain situations,â he said,âbut no reason to continue on that topic now. I'd rather not ruin this beautiful night with hatred.â
âif you think thatâs for the best, I shall respect your decision touyaâ, you said.
you looked up at him and saw a faint expression of frustration on his face, not sure how to react on that you just chose ignorance. it was always best to stay out of business of the royalty, it would save you from a lot of trouble. yet you had a selfish feeling of wanting to ask more, but you didnât.
âwhere do you spend most of your time?â, he suddenly asked while the both of you walked through the gates of the palace.
âeither the library or the place where we examine the herbs and make medicinesâ, you said. âotherwise I'm just in my bedchamber.â
âcan you believe that I've never read a single book in my own library and that I barely stepped a foor in thereâ, he said.
âyou sure must be lyingâ, you said in disbelief. âfirst thing tomorrow I'm bringing you to the library, no questions asked. make sure to rise early or I'll send guards to wake you up. understood?â
âcanât believe youâre doing all this just to spend some time with meâ, he said with a smirk.
your face flushed red, because there might have been some truth behind those words. âunderstood?â, you repeated after you cleared your throat.
âyes maâamâ, he said, half kneeling while walking, but almost falling in process, earning a chuckle from you.Â
âgoodâ, you said with a smile. âI shall take my leave then, my bedchamber is just around the corner, there is no need to make a detour for that as your own bedchamber is near the big entrance.â
touya looked down at you and you looked up at him. even though there wasnât that big a height difference it felt like he was suddenly so much taller. he searched your face and took a step closer to you. âthank you for showing me around today.â
âwell it was my pleasureâ, you said in a low tone.
he walked closer to you once more, almost closing the gap that was between the two of you. he placed his hand on your cheek and you blinked a few times. âI-â, you said, but never finished that sentence. he pulled you closer and you didnât even have the willpower to object, because a part of you had been waiting for this. and your lips connected. even if it was only for a few seconds, it felt like your body heat went up. your heart pounded in your chest and unknowingly you had tiptoed to reach his face. losing your balance broke the kiss and he looked at you with hopeful eyes.
âhave a good night restâ, touya said while slowly backing away, his fingers leaving a lingering feeling to your cheek as he walked away from you.
âyou... tooâ, you said, not knowing what just had happened and without another word said you walked to your room, letting slumber decide what heâd bring for you in the morning. because a proper mentality was not in it for that evening.
you had woken up early and had eaten your breakfast, when you opened the door to step outside you saw touya standing there with a red rose in his hand. you tilted your head to the side and walked closer to him.Â
âa flower for miladyâ, he said while handing you the flower. âmind you that it suits your red dress, I made a good decision.â
âwhat did you do this timeâ, you said while taking the flower and sniffing it. you blushed lightly, remembering yesterday. but you decided to not bring it up. it was in the moment, nothing too special about it. he probably already forgot it even happened so there was no point in thinking too much about it.
âI am gravely disappointed miladyâ, he said while looking down. âI just merely wanted to gift you for the amazing night you gave me yesterday.â
the knights walking around gave the two of you a weird glance.
âan evening out to show the villageâ, you said loud enough for them to hear. âtouya you should be careful with your word choice, others might get... the wrong ideaâ, you whispered loud enough for him to hear.Â
he laughed and took a step forward. âto the libraryâ, he said wile taking your hand and dragging you inside the palace.
you worriedly looked around you, hoping no one would notice him intertwining your hands. it wasnât an everyday sight that the prince was holding hands with the herbalist.
even though he claimed to not have been to the library, he did seem to know the place to it. âyou sure know you palace well.â
âwell, I just follow you around so even though I donât go inside every room I do know the placesâ, he said with a shrug while walking inside the library.
âI shouldnât have expected otherwiseâ, you silently said. âanyways keep your voice low, people tend to hate sound when coming here.â
he nodded and made you lead the way to whatever isle you wanted. he had let go off your hand, but now it felt empty and cold.
âwhat you have in mind for meâ, he asked looking at all the rows of books while placing his hands on his hips.
âwell I donât know your style, but I'd say letâs go to a random isle and see what we can get for youâ, you said walking to the third isle.
you closed your eyes and pointed at a book, letting him do the same on the row of books above you. âwhen I say start you point your finger at a book. you start walking and when I say stop you choose that book. I shall read that one and you read the book I pick for youâ, you said.
he did as he was told and took out the book his finger landed on and so did you. you gave him the book âhow to learn your herbsâ and he gave you the book âthe palaceâ.Â
âsurprisingly I haven't read this one yetâ, you said to the book he gave you. âyou can look at the table of content and choose a subject you would like to read. weâll give ourselves half an hour to read because Iâm pretty sure you still have training in the morning and you are already late for it.â
you opened the book and decided to read the part of the prince. it was going all good and well, quite informing you might add. till you reached the last part.
âthe eldest prince will always be married off to the neighboring kingdomâs princess, allowing his parents to enter a world of victory and wealth that had not been discovered yet. only if the princess, or her father, is not in possession of great wealth she can be replaced with any nearby kingdom. that is the rule of the palace.â
you read that part for a few times, even though you knew this piece of information it never really struck to you that touya was the eldest son of the king and that he might have to go through this.
âis it true that youâll be married off?â, you asked touya, scared of what the answer might be.
he looked at you for a second, but didnât answer before turning back to his book. he wasnât focussing on the book anymore, that was for sure, but was your question so stressing that he didnât want to give an answer on that?Â
âhey, touyaâ, you said placing your hand on his book. âI asked you a question.â
he looked at you again and you could see the faint stress in his face features. he held your hand and rose it to close the book. he didnât let go of your hand. âletâs not ruin our day with useless questions like that.â
he took your book and placed both of them back where they came from. you looked a little confused, not sure why he was acting like this. it was a normal thing apparently, many princes did it. so why was touya so worked up about it.Â
he came back and held your hand once more and dragged you out of the library. âhey touya, calm downâ, you said as he walked very fast, making you almost run on the uncomfortable shoes you were wearing. âhey, I canât go that fast. please calm down.â
âno second to waist!â, he said lively. you were confused on his sudden mood change. Â âI have training and I want you to see itâ, he said with a smile.
you didnât say anything, but you didnât want to let it slide either. after all it was a question with importance of course... it was for the safety of the palace that you had to know. no personal feelings. is what you tried to convince yourself.
you let him drag you to his training field. there werenât a lot of people there, mostly because it was a little late to be training now. the knights tend to train in the early mornings, this being even too late already. Â he let you watch from somewhere higher up, it wasnât much higher than the the field, but high enough to see the field in its whole.Â
you watched him swing his wooden sword at the piled up hay and smiled whenever there got a small piece stuck in his hair. after every hit heâd look at you with twinkling eyes, proud of what he had done. and once in a while youâd applaud him.Â
after a few training sessions with the other young men he came running to you. he decided to stay on the field and looked up at you from his position and with a small jump he was on the other side of the railing. he was close to you and the only thing between you was the piece of iron used as safety barrier. he held your chin and planted a small kiss on your lips. âI'll see you outsideâ, was all he said before jumping back on the field an running in the direction of the door that led outside.
you allowed your fingers to brush against your lips, shocked at the small friction between the two of you. so maybe he did still think about it? though how come he didnât bring it up?
you bit your lip for a second and looked at his running posture. a smile formed on your face again and you felt your face heat up. âhow embarrassingâ, you whispered to yourself. âfalling for a prince, have you lost your mind.â but you couldnât stop yourself from grinning.
you took your leave as well and saw touya standing at the exit you came out of. âwasnât I amazing?â, he said with pride.
âthe best of the bestâ, you said with a smile.Â
âwait until you see me fighting in real life, thatâd be more excitingâ, he happily said as he led the way to the grass field he always went to. it was a field with flowers and you never understood why, but the two of you always made your way there together.
âitâs saddening that I'll never be able to witness that greatnessâ, you said with a pout.
he stopped walking and looked questionably at you. âand what has driven you to say that? I'm going to the neighboring palace tomorrow, I'd like it if you could tag along?â
âwell, it isnât quite polite and correct for a herbalist teacher to join the prince on his adventures. that is the job of a mother, sister... or wifeâ, you said while walking further.
all the people were gone and you took your chance to ask the question once more or at least open the subject again.Â
ânot that againâ, he said.
âI know touyaâ, you said while turning around. the wind was blowing your hair slightly in front of your face, but you just let it happen. âI know youâre supposed to marry the princess of the nearby kingdom. I read it in the book you chose for me. and it isnât hard to overhear the servants talking. youâre not just going to the kingdom tomorrow for a fight... itâs for a potential marriage.â
he took a few steps closer to you, but still stayed an arm length away from you. âwhen you realize I try to stay away from that subject could you at least respect that and try to not get more involved with it?â, he said a little angrily now.Â
âit was an inevitable situationâ, you said looking down. ânothing that can be stopped.â
he took another step closer to you and placed his finger under your chin the pull it up. âI prefer to not talk about that topicâ, he whispered with almost no emotions.
his eyes were fixated on your lips and theyâd switch to your eyes as if to gain some kind of permission. but you didnât give any. he inched closer again, but you placed your fingertip on his lips. âyou canât just throw yourself onto me when you are trying to avoid my question. just a simple I donât want to say it is enough for me to back awayâ, you said the last in a silent tone. âdonât bring the hopes up of someone with no possibility and no chance. itâll hurt less in the future if you donât cross the line.â
you hated to out your feelings in this way, it felt embarrassing, degrading, humiliating. this was everything you didnât want to show to the outer world. your vulnerability.
he held your arm and pulled it in the air so that you had no chances of leaving. but you faced away from him. his other hand fount its way your chin and he pulled it in his direction again. he seemed to like that action, but it felt a little awkward now. âwhat if I'm not trying to bring up your hopes. what if I'm completely serious about you?â
you pulled your face away from his grip and looked back down again. ânonsense. youâre supposed to marry the princess. I am nothing but a mere servant to the palace. no good will come out of me.â
you pulled your hand away from his grip too and when you turned your back to walk away he tried to grab your wrist, but you were strong enough to slip away. âI prefer not to get my feelings hurt by a prince. especially not one that doesnât consider my feelings.â
ânot consider your feelings?â, he said in disbelief. âyou think I've been doing everything for my own desires?â
âassuming that there is no future for us and you knowing about that, I doubt youâd do it for anything other than selfish desiresâ, you said while walking away. âI donât have a reason to stay anymore.â
and you left. you didnât turn back neither did he call for you. you thought this might have been the best option, the best solution. the best course of action to avoid heartbreak. before everything would have been too late.Â
you didnât do anything that day and you didnât sleep that night. tossing and turning, but nothing of sleep was in it for you that night. before you could close an eye, the sun had risen and you had to get ready for the day.Â
every passing second, every move and every step reminded you of him. reminded you of all the time you spent together. you forgot how empty it felt without him. without him nagging to you that his feet hurt even though they didnât so you could check it and prescribe medication for him just so he could spend time with you. or how heâd act childish when you didn't give him attention when reading a book in the library. not to forget the moments heâd wait for you to finish working so that you could spend your day together. heâd listen to your endless talks about your herbs and medicines even though he didnât understand anything of it at all. because it was you, it was no problem for him because for you heâd do just about anything.
and you realized that too late. your heart ached and only when you thought you ended it on the right time, you knew it was too late. you were too attached and not a single thing could convince you otherwise anymore. just thinking about not being able to make any memories with him made your heart ache a little more. even if you were only to be acquaintance, a friend or just someone you locked eyes with, youâd be more than happy to continue your life within the palace as long as he was there.
you couldnât let him go to the neighboring palace without saying goodbye. you could let him go, praying that heâd pay no attention to the princess there, even though it was almost a job undone. but you had to see him and you had to talk to him.
thatâs how you found yourself almost running to the gates where the men were gathered to take their leave. you were out of breath from running and stopped when you saw him standing in front of his horse, caressing itâs forehead. you fixed your hair and dress and started walking towards him, feeling sick with apprehension. when hearing stepping sounds behind him he turned around. his eyes widened and he slowly let go of the horseâs lead rope. when you reached him you hadnât expected him to pull you in his embrace, but he did. you were stiff at first, but allowed your body to melt in his touch. you placed your head on his shoulder and you flattened your hands against his chest.
when he pulled away he looked at you with twinkling eyes. âI thought you would not bid me farewell.â
âwell I wasnât, until I realized that would ruin many beautiful things. I give you my apologies for reacting the way I did. I seem to forget my place in this palaceâ, you awkwardly laughed. âand I might have invalidated your feelings, but I cannot speak against the words of the king and traditions, so trying to change your future is not in my hands. but I do want you to know how I feel about you, though that was already clear. I hope you live a good life and that your future is filled with many beautiful memories-â
before you could even finish whatever you were saying, he had pulled you in for a kiss. one that was more passionate than the others. you allowed him to take the lead, letting your lips dance together as they parted from time to time. your body heat went up and just like yours you could feel his heartbeat hammering in his chest. your body acted on its own and your hands made their way to cup his cheeks to pull him closer to you as he pulled your body closer. you had long forgotten about the knights or the servants on the field, because at that moment none of those crossed your minds.
when both of you pulled away, you stared at each other. you felt a tear escape your eye, because you knew you could never end up with him, the one you held most dear. heâd marry someone else and that woman would carry his children. but as long as he was happy, you couldnât have a say in this. at least you knew he accepted your feelings and might actually return it. but tradition is tradition.
âwhen I come back, I'm gonna make sure I marry youâ, he suddenly said in a whisper as he placed his forehead against yours, wiping away your tear.
you eyes widened. âb- but I'm only a herbalist, I bring no wealth to the family. you cannot go against your father. touya I-â
âI donât need my father to tell who I want to spend the rest of my life with when I've already decided that for myself. so pleaseâ, he said, taking his forehead off of yours and holding your hands,âdonât say yes to anyone else until I'm back.â
you nodded your head in disbelief and a smile formed its way on your face. âI wonât.â
âgoodâ, he said as he gave you a last kiss of farewell before he jumped on the back of his horse. âI'll be back in five days. I'll make sure to bring you pretty gifts.â
âyou don't have to-â
âbut I want toâ, he said with a smile. âdonât forget about me.â
âI wonâtâ, you said with a smile on which he smiled back. âI'll be waiting for you.â
âand I'll be back soonâ, he said before taking his leave with the many men following behind him.Â
you waved behind him even though he wouldnât see it. but you found yourself smiling only because of a single thought of him. you locked your hands together and let out a sigh of happiness. when he was completely out of sight you turned around, planning to teach the children about herbs again, but when you turned around you saw all the servants looking at you with a big smile and you couldnât stop yourself from turning red. âwell, I'll be taking my leave thenâ, you said in embarrassment.Â
and as you walked you heard the giggles and small talks behind you. but it didnât matter, because you had what you had thought would never be yours. the prince that actually only looked at you.
summary: an unexpected, accidental call and you found yourself running back to the arms of the one person you tried to forget.
a/n: hellow, sorry for being inactive Iâve been on a trip for the past almost three weeks so I hadnât been able to write anything. but here I am!!! I finally found some time off so I wrote something after I had come across on something on instagram. hope you enjoy this small âfillerâ story<3
it had been a while since you and gojo broke up. it wasnât an easy period of time, but you did your best to get over him. things were fine in the beginning, but more and more every single day you missed something about him. you missed his scent, you missed his touch, you missed his taste, but most importantly... you missed him.
you did everything in your power to avoid any kind of contact with him, or any sort of interaction that might lead you to him. because you knew that youâd be running back to him.Â
you were laying on your bed, eyes fixated on the ceiling. you were thinking, a little too hard in your opinion, but you couldnât stop. you were thinking about him again and when you turned your head to look at the hour you couldnât help but pinch your eyes closed.
3 a.m.
the hour which you always stayed up for him because that was the time he mostly got off of work and gave you a call. yet you were there staring at a block hole of emptiness all because you miss a guy that wears a blindfold over his eyes. pathetic isnât it.Â
you brushed your hands over your face, trying to get rid of the stress that was building up. you allowed your eyes to open again and you were staring at the ceiling again. the ceiling whichâs details you had memorized because you were staring at it ever since you came back the night of the break up.
you heard your clock ticking, but time didnât seem to pass. you strummed your stomach lightly in hope to get yourself to sleep, but it was all to waste when your brain didnât even give you room to think about anything else but him.Â
suddenly your phone ringed and your first reflex was to pick up that damned phone and answer because you knew who it was. but the moment the phone was in your hand, you couldnât move an inch.
gojo satoru.Â
you held the ringing phone in your hand, but your fingers didnât press a single button and only when the calling had stopped you realized that you were holding in your breath. you gasped for air and let yourself process whatever had just happened.Â
you stared at your phone intensely in hopes that it would ring again, but it didnât. you only received a text.
âiâm sorry, I called you by accident..â
you stared at your screen that lit up the dark room you were in, not knowing what exactly to do. you sat upright and took a closer look at the message overanalyzing his ever move.
how did he accidentally call you? how is it that he didnât directly message you after âaccidentallyâ calling you? why was it your name that had been accidentally called? or was it not an accident..?
questions flooded your mind, but you stopped yourself. I should respond. is what floated in that brain of yours and you were determined to do so. why? because you wanted to show him you were doing great even though you werenât.
âits okayâ
was your response and you were proud of yourself for not breaking down. but at the same time you didnât want him to think you were completely over it, because after all he had been your everything. the only person that saw you for who you were.
a few minutes passed by and you had almost given in. you wanted to call him, you wanted to text him, you wanted to tell him that you still cared for him. and when all of this was happening you barely thought about how he was feeling, because without you knowing, he was doing worse. so another text came in.
âfuck it. it wasnât an accident. I wanted to talk to you, I wanted to hear your voice again, to hear you laugh again and I know we are not on the best of terms.. but I just miss you so fucking much.â
you felt your hands tremble and your breath hitch. you swallowed hard and before you knew it, you had pressed call. you didnât even know what you were going to say or do, but your body had moved on its own. your eyes were wide open and you were staring at the wall while your phone was pressed against your ear. It didnât even ring twice before the phone was picked up.
âhello?â
you didnât answer.
âh-how are you?â
again no answer.
âplease, just say something, anything.â
his voice sounded desperate, but no matter how many times you opened and closed your mouth, no sound came out.Â
âeven if you donât want to talk, please listen to me at least. god, I donât even know where to start.â
it was silent for a while again.
âI just miss you so fucking much.â he said in a whisper tone.
âthe usual place in 15 minutes.â, is all that came out of your mouth before you hung up the phone in his face.
you blinked twice and before you knew it you were running around the house, throwing on some random clothing, a sweater, joggers, random shoes and you were running out the door. the cold breeze hitting your face, but you only turned hotter and hotter with every step you took.
it hadnât even been 15 minutes and yet you were there, breathing heavily and staring at the one figure that was standing there. satoru.
his hair down, blindfolds off and he hadnât even taken the time to get dressed as he was standing there in his pyjamas, a set you had bought once for him.
he was staring at you and you at him and before you knew it he was walking towards so as if it was out of habit you walked his way, almost ran, and you basically threw yourself on him, throwing your arms around his neck and pulling him down slightly.
his hands snaked around your waist and he pulled you closer. you buried your face in the crook of his neck, allowing his scent to fill in your nose. when you tried to loosen your grip he just pulled you closer. ânot yet. please donât let me go just yet.â
and you didnât. you didnât let go. because you missed him just as much as he missed you.
your hands were in your hair, doing your best to not pull every strand out of your scalp. your eyes were closed and you were doing your best to calm yourself down, counting down from ten.
âdabi, we have had this conversation for over a hundred times. you canât control me. and why canât you just trust me for once?â, you said, finally  opening your eyes and looking at dabi.
âfineâ, he said clenching his jaw. âgo. let all of those people see you. go. you know what, donât come back tonight will you?â
âstop overreactingâ, you said, breathing out heavily. âI'm sick and tired of you constantly telling me what to do. I'm your partner, not your child. I know my limits and I know what to look out for. and who are you to tell me to not come back tonight? this isnât just your place. we live here with a bunch of losers, what makes you think youâre more special than them? what makes you think you overpower them? what makes you think you have more to say than us?â
he took a few steps closer to you and looked down at you with a wrinkled nose. âI just donât like my partner going out where there are people that will look at them. I donât like how you canât keep your mouth shut around people and let them flirt with you. I canât stand you going to places and not knowing your limit, when you claim you do.â
âjust because I let people talk to me, doesnât mean I'm letting them flirt with me?â, you confusedly said. âoh I apologize dabi. I apologize that I do not prefer to burn people to the ground when they give you a genuine smile. I apologize that I couldnât become as great as youâ, you sarcastically said while throwing your hands in the air and then dropping them. âdo you hear how stupid you sound? we have this discussion almost every day, but I canât seem to get some senses into you. I'm tired of this, dabi. I'm tired of having to explain myself every day when I know I'm not doing anything wrong. I canât talk to anyone before I have you breathing against my neck telling me to stay away from that person.â
âsweetheart, dollface, sugarâ, he said with gritted teeth, taking steps closer to you and holding on of your hand and placing it over his heart. âdonât make this harder for the both of us and just donât go outside will you?â
you pulled your arm away from his grip. ânot this time dabi. I'm sick of this. sick of you wanting to control everything I do. you wanting to have a dominant role in this relationship. why is that even needed? why canât you treat me as an equal? canât you for once just let me live? I'm tired, I'm tired of telling myself that youâll change when you donâtâ, you said, finally showing the frustration on your face.Â
âand you think I'm having fun?â he asked, raising his eyebrows. âyou think I enjoy seeing you having fun with someone else? it hurts you just as much as it does me dollâ, he said, raising his voice. âitâs also hard for me to see you flirting back with other people! know your fucking limitsâ, he said placing his hand on your chin and pulling it up slightly.
âdonât act like you are right hereâ, you sat, pulling your chin away from his grip and taking a step back. âfor once. for fucking once accept that you canât control everything I do and that you canât overpower me. respect goes both ways, but I'm not seeing any on your accord.â
ânow youâre just talking bullshitâ, he said in a loud voice, laughing to shake off his frustration. âwhat does this even mean?! what is it that youâre trying to accomplish here? what is it that you so desperately want, huh? attention from someone else? if youâre not even gonna listen to my feelings, how am I supposed to take yours in account? you only do as you please and where does that bring us, huh?! where the fuck-!â
âthat maybe perhaps weâre not meant for each otherâ, you interrupted him. âthat maybe weâre just not fit for each other.â
his face dropped and you saw every emotion pass on his face. he was confused. he was confused as to the words you had just dared to speak, something he didnât even think about once. to him this was normal, to him this was behavior that should be present in a relationship. to him, fighting everyday seemed normal. but his motives for this relationship seemed to be totally different from yours.
âyou must be kidding noâ, you said with a distressed smile. âh-how can you just easily say something like that?â
âbecause you made sure I did. if you just for once tried to understand me, perhaps this wouldnât have happened.â
he walked closer to you and held your shouders. âyouâre kidding right?â
âiâm not, dabi. I'm being very much serious right now. how can I continue this when my feelings are being invalidated on a daily basis? how am I supposed to respect you further when you literally treat me like your pet?â, you said a brushing off his grip on your shoulder. âI canât do this when all of this only brings me anxiety and constant stress?â
he looked at you, lost in another world progressing what you had just said. it surely couldnât have been true, you were joking right? but the expression on your face made him his eyes go larger and his mouth almost hung open. ây-you canât be seriousâ, he said with a smile, but that soon dropped when he shook your head.
âiâm notâ, you said turning around and walking to the door.
you didnât turn around to look back at him, and he made no attempt to stop you. perhaps he hadnât even believe that you actually left. or maybe he was just waiting for you to finally leave him. maybe this was for the better you thought, but for dabi this was a whole different experience.Â
he was convinced you were coming back that night, he convinced himself that you would. so when you didnât he totally lost it. the person that barely texted you had spammed you with messages and missed calls, leaving behind various emotions. he didn't know what he was feeling. this was all new to him.
dollface, youâre not serious right?
youâre coming back tonight right?
I'm sure you are...
you didnât take me seriously, did you?
please come back.
please look at your messages.
itâs past midnight, please come back.
donât scare me like this. just come back already.Â
please...
you looked at your phone, tapping the corners or your phone. you decided to not answer, but that left you in a weird state of mind. you didnât know what you were feeling. were you happy? sad? relieved? more stressed? you didnât even know. you felt numb.Â
you found your way to an old friend, asking if you could stay over until you figured out what you would do to survive. you locked your phone and threw it next to you on the bed. you allowed yourself to fall with your back on the mattress. youâd feel better in the morning, is what you tried to convince yourself. but would you really?
you woke up with a heavy headache. it was hard to even sit upright. but when you opened your eyes it was still dark. there was heavy rain outside and falling back asleep seemed like an impossible thing right now.Â
you tapped on your phone letting it light up.Â
3 a.m.
you sighed. what were you gonna do now? you felt too stressed to even close an eye. you didnât know what you were supposed to do. you loved him and he probably loved you too, but this couldnât go on forever.
you looked at your screen again, not missing all the messages he had left behind.
please I know I fucked up, but please just come back.
you canât be doing this.
and many more messages like that had filled your phone. you frustratingly brushed your hand through your hair and sighed loudly. it felt wrong. it felt wrong to have left like that in the middle of an argument. but at the same time this had happened so many times that you couldnât just do nothing.Â
you rose from your bed, still not answering any of his messages. your phone rung every five minutes, but you just didnât pick it up. you walked to the kitchen and filled a glass with water only to leave it on the counter after seeing his new messages.
I really need you.
I donât need anybody else.
just you. so please, please come back.
you blinked once, then twice and then many more times. dabi had really said he needed you. the independent guy, who would refuse help from anyone had said he needed you. you werenât sure what to do. you paced around the kitchen, biting down on your nail. your phone made a sound again.
I just really... canât live without you.
you sighed loudly and with a quick steps you walked to the door. you put on your shoes and ran out the door taking the keys with you. the rain splashed on your skin, clothes and hair, making you soaked in an instant as you ran down the street. but you didnât care. the only thing that ran through your head was wanting to see dabi. wanting to see him share his feelings and wanting to see him need you.Â
even the bad memories had a good ending for you. every time you fought, youâd fix it together. so why couldnât that be done now? why did you have to act so selfishly again? you knew you were partially right, but at the same time you knew this wasnât right. all your memories with him flooded in your mind and it made you run faster.
your feet dragged you to the place you had thought he was, because you knew he wouldnât be at the residence. he would be at the place that caused his trauma, but at the same time was his most visited place.Â
the forest were he had supposedly died. the forest where his dad had refused to come to. the forest with his last memories of home.
you stopped in track when you saw his figure. his back facing you and his head looking up. he was wearing a front zip hoodie with the cap over his head. allowing the droplets to hit his face. he had heard something so he turned around.
when he saw you standing there in the rain he took one step and reached out his hand, but stopped when you only stared at him. you were out of breath, breathing in and out heavily as your chest heaved.Â
you looked at him, seeing the sad expression on his face. you shook your head and started walking, but before you knew it you were running to him. you ran and when you reached him, you threw yourself on him, holding him like you never did before.
he was in shock, not being able to do anything, just allowing you to slowly pull him down for the hug. when you pulled away you held his face and searched it, but before he could say anything you crashed your lips against his, tasting the rain on them. it was still pouring and this might have been the closest thing to an actual romantic scene the two of you had.Â
your lips danced together and you melt in each others touch. he finally allowed himself to be embraced and snaked his arms around your back to deepen the kiss. he pushed you against him and moved his hands to your neck to pull you closer. your hands slid down and rested on his chest.
when he pulled away he looked you in your eyes. water droplets were falling on your face and he made an attempt to wipe them away though the rain hadn't stopped. you wanted to say something, but he shut you up by pulling you in once more and giving you a small, but soft kiss.
âiâm sorryâ, he said, pulling you flush against him to hug you. âI'm sorry for always wanting to control you. I was just scared.â
you slid your arm around his waist and hugged him back. âscared of what?â
âof you leavingâ, he whispered just loud enough to hear above the splashing raindrops. âI havenât been open about my feelings. I just didnât know how to. but I was raised with the thought of rejection and people leaving me behind. I wasnât used to all of this. I wasnât used to having all this affection, so I was scared youâd leave just like the rest.â
you tightened your grip on him. âI donât have a reason to leave. I just need you to be open with me like just now. so we can work things out togetherâ, you said, looking up so that you were facing him.
he looked down and a soft smile formed on his face. he kissed you again and again and again until completely devouring your lips on his, not giving you a chance to pull away. but that wasnât needed. you had understood the whole situation and the both of you were able to figure it out together. many ways had opened for the two of you and the both of you have yet to learn so much about each other. but you were both willing to change yourself for each other. because even if things weren't always great, the two of you would find their ways back to each other.Â
a/n: hello hello, I havent been active here due to my exams but Iâm finally done!!! Iâm not so proud of this work but I most definitely donât hate it, plus this was more of a âI need to get back to writingâ type of comeback. enjoy!
you were waiting for gojo to arrive. it had been exactly two hours after you two had planned a date night at home and he still wasnât here. you knew about his busy schedule, so you didnât take it personal and didnât think that heâd try to avoid a date night with you. especially these days. he was tired, you could tell. he was exhausted. every day that heâd come home heâd just slump on the bed and sleep straight till the morning without having had dinner.Â
you were worried about him, but every time you tried to have that conversation with him, heâd find a way to evade anything that was related to that. you knew he was just bad at expressing his emotions, but you did your best to get something out of him even though you failed every time.
even though both of you had the same job, he was the stronger one. meaning everything from the higher ups fell onto him. he was running errands in their place because they were just too weak to handle it without him, or rather lazy was the word gojo liked to used.
the higher ups were rather cruel people. they didnât care about Gojoâs mental health and because they knew he didnât like to show weakness they took advantage of that. knowing that heâll take any job given to him, just to show how strong and dependable he was. but a big burden came along with that. heâd be gone for days without having slept properly and then heâd come home and heâd be knocked out for the next three days.Â
it was hard on him, but he still kept doing his best.Â
you could tell he was exhausted because of the bags under his eyes, because of the way he drags his feet over the ground instead of jumping and hopping like he used to do. or the way he talked, the enthusiasm and sarcastic vibes were as good a nowhere to be seen. the way he canât keep his eyes open when he gets home. for example when you two are watching a movie and you lay on his lap, you could see him trying his best to keep his eyes open but failing after too many attempts. you were sad, because not only was your precious time with him taken away from you, he looked visibly tired. it felt like any moment he could break down.
you were sat at the table that was fully ready for a romantic date night, but the only thing missing was the date himself. you were getting worried. heâd usually text you an hour at which heâd come home, but this time had you left wondering what might have happened because he didnât text you anything. you didnât want to think too much about it so with a text with âtext me when youâre on your way homeâ sent to him, you tried to calm yourself down.
after only a few minutes of having sent that text, the door was opened. you sprinted to the door and saw Gojo barely able to hold himself up. without having to think twice you ran to him and slid arm over your shoulders for support. âsatoru!â
his full body weight fell on you and you tried your best to hold the 1m90 tall man without making the both of you fall down. âsatoru, what happened?!â
you helped him take off his shoes and immediately brought him to the bedroom. his breathing was uneven, but when you looked for a wound there were none to see. he was conscious, but just too weak to answer you. you stripped him from his uniform and left him in his shirt and boxers, giving him all the air he should get. âsatoru give me one secondâ, you worriedly said as you ran to the bathroom and wet a towel. you ran back to him and put the towel on his forehead after feeling a fever come up.Â
not knowing what exactly to do you kinda panicked, but you had to stay calm for him. you stood up, wanting to bring him a glass of water when suddenly his hands were on yours. you stopped your movements and turned around. his face was flushed red, probably because of the fever, but his eyes were still closed.
he opened his eyes and slowly rose from his laying position to a sitting one. he pulled you down so that you were sitting next to him. you werenât sure what was happening or if he was even aware of the things he was doing now, but you let it all happen because maybe this all was what he really needed.
he looked you in the eyes, his being droopy and sad. his eyes were watery, but no tear dropped. he placed a hand each on both of your hands and slowly pulled you in for a hug. he allowed himself to be hugged, to be more precise. guiding your hands to his shoulders and then snaking his own around your waist as dropped his head in the crook of your neck.
after a deep inhale he finally broke down. not the type where people scream, but the type where they catch for breath and the type where they bite down on something to hold it in. he didnât want to hurt you, but that was all he could do in order to not scream, even though you wanted him to. your hands rubbed his back and you knew immediately that he was just worn out. he had trouble keeping himself upright and he really just did his best until he couldnât hold it anymore.
he didnât expect you to say anything, and you didnât. not only because you wanted to give him the rest he needed, but also because you just werenât sure how to properly deal with this situation. but he didnât care. all he needed was you by his side. you just had to be there, nothing more.Â
you stayed like that for a while until he pulled you down on the bed with him. he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and pulled you close to him and was breathing in your scent. you werenât sure if he had actually stopped crying, but he held you so firmly, yet so soft that you werenât able to really look up to see his facial expression.Â
you draped your arm over his torso and he tightened his grip on you. âI'm sorry for ruining our date night againâ, he said in a whisper after a silent 20 minutes.
âdonât worry about that, I'm actually more worried about youâ, you said while looking up to him.Â
âyou donât have toâ, he said while showing a weak smile.
he still had some tears around his eyes so you brought your hands up and wiped them away, caressing those places where there had been tears. âyou donât have to take every job they offer you just to show how strong you are. they know damn well how strong you are and are just making use of it.â
âI knowâ, he said slowly. âI just donât want to disappoint my students.â
you thought for a second and tried your best to flick his forehead. it wasnât painful, but it definitely left a red spot on his forehead. âyour students look up to you no matter what. you not taking a job for your own well being will show them that itâs okay to take breaks or to not always be in good shape. they adore you and I'm sure that even if you donât take certain jobs they will still do.â
he was silent for a moment, as if he was thinking. then he kissed the top of your head, breathing in at the same time. âthank you for always being there for me. thank you for keeping up with me and thank you for accepting me the way that I am.â as if that small speech wasnât enough, he tightened his grip even more on you to show just how much he wants you by his side and just how much he is scared of losing you. so for return, you did the same thing. you wrapped your arms around his waist and tightened your grip on him.Â
thatâs how you fell asleep. and that's how you fell asleep every night. because he discovered that your touch and your scent was the one thing that would keep him at ease.
summary: you land in the hospital because of the first dangerous mission after your high school graduation and megumi beats himself up with the fact that he couldnât save you on time. so as a tribute to that he visited you every day. but was guilt really the only reason for him putting this much effort for you?
a/n: I originally wrote this story for gojo,, but something about this reminded me of megumi, so I changed it to megumi and honestly I'm happy I changed it. I enjoy writing for gojo because his personality is so fun to write with, but something about megumi fit this perfectly. enjoy reading!!
you were sitting on the hospital bed, peeling a tangerine that was in the fruit basket that your colleagues had brought. you looked out the window and watched the wind blow the leafs off of the trees. throwing a piece of the tangerine in your mouth, you chewed on the fruit and accidentally allowed a little bit of the juice to slip through your throat, making you cough lightly.
âcareful.â
you turned your head from the window to the door that was opened by fushiguro himself. you looked uninterested at him and threw your hand in the air, as if to wave at him.
âdonât want you dying on a tangerineâ, he said, genuinely worried.
âdude, itâs just tangerine juice. how wrong could that have gone?â, you asked, turning your gaze back to the window.
you werenât really paying attention to the trees anymore, only because the old couple that was sitting on a bench seemed a little bit more interesting. it looked like they were having exciting conversation. the woman was waving her hands and had a smile on her face while the man was looking at her with admiration.
âyes, it was also just a mission but look at you nowâ, he said, walking to the window and closing the curtains, blocking the sunlight which had unknowingly blinded you. he hadnât noticed you looking outside so when he closed the curtains you turned your gaze to fushiguro.Â
âdid you really just compare a deadly mission to a tangerine?â, you asked, raising an eyebrow.
he let out a sigh, earning a chuckle from you. he had been here visiting you almost every day. you werenât sure why he did, but after your investigation you figured he did it out of guilt. out of guilt of not being able to protect you. he felt like making it up to you. you could be wrong, but this seemed like the most possible explanation.
he sat down on the chair next to your bed and took the fruit basket. slowly he peeled the apple that he took out of there and sliced them into even pieces.Â
âyou liked apples right?â, he asked. but he already knew the answer so responding didnât seem necessary. not that he was expecting you to.
he placed the plate on your lap and gave you a toothpick to eat it with. with a small thank you, you ate the apples while he washed the knife.
âwhat did the doctors say? did they check up on you today?â, he asked as he sat back down on his original spot.
you nodded. âthey said I'm doing much better. they said that I might even be able to leave earlier than expectedâ, you said happily as you chewed on the apple.
âmaybe they should keep you in for the originally planned time. you know, just to be sure. donât want no unexpected incidents to happenâ, he said the last in a whisper and dropped his head.Â
âmegumiâ, you said, his gaze turning back to you. âwhy are you so concerned about this? it was just a mission that went wrong. it happens all the time, nothing new. donât beat yourself up just because you couldnât protect me on time. I mean in the end you were there. if you werenât, who knew where I would be now. I'm doing fine, donât worryâ, you said, waving your hands to show you were doing fine.
but you werenât totally honest with him. even though you were doing better, you still had taken a lot of damage. that being the reason why you were in a lot of pain. you were still as good as paralyzed on both legs. you were hurting, but telling him that might not be the best option.
âyeah, but me not being able to help in time is the reason why you are now paralyzed in bed for the past two weeksâ, he said, looking seriously hurt.
âyou can be so dramatic sometimesâ, you said, rolling your eyes playfully as an attempt to reassure him. âI am a recovery beastâ, you said, pursing your lips and doing a bicep pose, showing off your muscles.
a breathy laugh escaped his lips and for the first time in a while he had a genuine smile on his face. the laughter soon died down, but a small smile was still formed on his face.
âyou know, that was the first smile I've seen on you ever since I woke up after the incident. megumi weâre 18. we just graduated and stuff like this is supposed to happen on our first real missions as high school graduates in order for us to grow stronger. I bet that when I'm healed I'll be even stronger than I was beforeâ, you said. âplus-â, you said, pulling the covers so that your toes were visible and you wiggled them, â- I can move my toes again.â
a smile of relief formed on his face. it wasnât enough to reassure him, but enough to make him smile. âI'm happy at least one of us is taking this situation positivelyâ, he said.
âyou are such a drama queenâ, you snorted. âtell me megumi, what would you do if I actually died.â
his face turned all serious and he thought for a moment. âI donât like thinking about that, but-â, he said, standing up and walking to the window to look behind the curtains. probably to just think with out having to be distracted by you, âI'd probably stop being a sorcerer.â
âthatâs shocking coming from someone that adores his jobâ, you said with a chuckle. âyou like me that much, huhâ, you said in a joking way.
he was silent for a minute, before turning his head in your direction. he stared straight into your eyes, but still didnât say a word. he was chewing the inside of his mouth and thought of the right words to say. but nothing seemed good enough to be said with words.
âsay, megumi. why do you help me this much? is it really all because of guilt or is there something more to itâ, you genuinely asked. because there was this feeling inside of you that needed a mutual answer.Â
as if making up his mind he looked at you with a confident look. âbecause I like you. and even if you donât share the same feelings, I wonât stop caring for you. I want you and I'll do my best to prove that to you. I'll prove that I am worth it.â
âwho said I didnâtâ, you said in a serious tone. âwho said I didnât like you.â
it wasnât a sight you were used to see, but seeing megumi turn his head slightly to the side and seeing the redness form on his skin made you blush yourself. he wasnât the one whoâs emotions you could read easily, so when stuff like this happened you just felt a warmness inside of you. something that told you that he was comfortable enough to show this side of him to you.
âdonât say stuff like this, I might get the wrong ideaâ, he said in a low voice, still hiding his face.
âmaybe thatâs what I was hoping forâ, you said. you scooted to the side, making just enough space to fit another person. âwanna join in?â
how could he even possibly say no to such a request? so without a word he made his way to sit next to you, taking off his shoes before sitting on the bed. he sat down next to you, under the covers. he had this slight awkward pose, but when you scooted closer to him you felt him relax next to you.
you rested your head against his shoulder. âyou know, megumi. I enjoy being with you. I'm not sure how you do it, but you just make me feel safe. even if you think otherwise, I do feel a sense of safety. so if itâs not too much to ask. could you stay by my side until Iâm recovered? will you be here until I can finally stand on my own?â
âI'll stay with you even after thatâ, he said resting his head on yours. âI donât plan on going anywhere else.â he had said the last in a whisper.
âgoodâ, you said while closing your eyes. you felt drowsy and without hesitation you let sleep take over you. âthank you.â
âanytimeâ, he said while pulling the cover more over your body. ârest well.â
you didnât have the energy to respond to that, but it didnât really matter. the way you let your body completely fall on his was enough for him to understand that you had already fallen asleep. but the warm kiss he planted on your head was the real reason why you completely gave your body to slumber. because his touch was comforting to you.
that's how you woke up to him holding you tightly against his chest while he was asleep. a smile creeped on your face. this was probably the most amount of sleep he had gotten in days, so waking him up now was not something you planned to do. instead you pressed your face to his chest. his scent filling your nose as it calmed you down. falling asleep like this wasnât bad at all. and just before sleep could fully take you over, you felt his embrace tighten around you, as if to show that he was there for you and that he was planning to stay, because that was his main goal. to protect you and for you to be able to protect him.
a/n: this was an idea that came up in me after writing angst.. I swear I can be soft sometimes. I donât think I'm all that good in writing fluff, but there was an attempt.
you and gojo were laying in the grass of a big field. star gazing and enjoying each otherâs presence. the field was probably property of someone else, but neither of you really cared at that given moment. the grass was tickling your bare skin and the wind sent shivers down your spine. you looked to your left, were gojo was laying beside you and a smile creeped on your face. this was probably the most freeing thing for you. to be with the one you loved the most. to be with the person that meant the world to you. to be with gojo satoru.Â
his eyes were closed and his eyelashes almost touched the apples of his cheek. you couldnât see everything properly because of the night, but you had memorized every part of him so figuring him out in this darkness was barely an effort. it were moments like these that you liked to cherish.Â
âyou gonna look at me forever?â, he asked while his eyes were closed.
âyesâ, you answered back. âhow can I not.â
âhmm, I'll make it easier for youâ, he said as he rolled to his side and opened his eyes, looking at you directly. âbetter?â he asked in a whisper on which you nodded.
you adored his face for a minute before turning your gaze back to the sky. it was like a pit of darkness, but if you looked long enough you could see many stars shining above you. âtell me, satoru. what are those eyes good for except boring a hole through my faceâ, you chuckled. âwhat do you see in the stars today.â
âin my defense, you look absolutely stunning todayâ, he said not even moving an inch from his position. âand to answer your question, I have no clue. I've found a better view.â
you slapped his chest slightly and he let out a chuckle. âhow do you always know what to say in a conversation.â
âitâs because you bring out the best of meâ, he said in a slightly serious tone.
âewâ, you said with a chuckle. âso tacky.â
the both of you laughed, but that soon died down when he took ahold of your right arm and pulled you in a way that you rolled on top of him. âI canât tell what is prettier. you or the starsâ, he said in a whisper while looking at your eyes as if they actually held the galaxy.Â
you smiled at him. âhmm, give it a go I guessâ, you teasingly said.
âyouâ, he whispered before snaking his hands around your neck and pulling you in for a kiss. his lips felt soft and warm and your lips fit like two puzzle pieces together. his touch sent shivers down your body, but at the same time a rush of heat. his hands went down caressed your back and the euphoria he gave you was so freeing that you felt as if you could stay in this position forever.
when both of you pulled away he looked at you as if he had no care in the world with an exception of you. you were his gem, his precious person, his everything and even if you hadnât completely understood that yet, he made sure to deliver any form of affection to you.
you shuffled in your spot and rested your head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. if it hadnât been for this silence you wouldnât have heard this sign of life. silence was your precious time. something you shared together. there was no need for talking all the time, your touch speaking for each other. who needed words when his lips could say the same just by touching yours. you didnât need the words of confirmations to know just how much you care for each other when your embraces did exactly that.
while your head rested on his chest he moved his arms around you, pulling you closer to him. he drew circles with his finger on your shoulder and let his soft touch take over your half asleep form. his heart had a steady rhythm and it made you drowsy. your eyelids felt heavy and it was getting harder to maintain a steady breathing pattern.
before you let sleep take over you heard him whisper and that whisper was your confirmation to let you fall in a slumber. you rested with a reassured heart. and that all because of a simple-
he is visibly hurt by this. not only because of his pride, but also because he actually enjoyed his time with you (which he never admitted). and now when he sees you used him too, he feels a certain hurt inside of him.
what you never admitted is that you actually liked the time with him too. but the both of you being as stubborn as you are never admit it to each other. so the both of you end up using each other until you drift apart. finding love in someone else, but missing each otherâs touch.
