hello 911? hi yeah omg sorry i know it’s late and this is probably so annoying like i hell don’t wanna bother you haha, like i know you’re probs mad at me, are you mad at me? actually don’t answer that it’s okay haha. omg this is so stupid like i sound like such a crybaby right now, like for real i’m listening to myself talk and i’m like “aaahh you’re so embarrassing!!” haha like … omg haha i’m so… anyway. what was i saying? oh right. so i was just stabbed in the chest and

The Road Warrior (1981)
Mad Max Fury Road fandom
Would anyone be interested in/participate in a fandom appreciation event?
The fandom’s been pretty quiet these past months, but there are still a lot of awesome people and creators here - and there are almost 2000 works on AO3!, we have a new version of MMFR coming out soon, and there are rumors about the next movie in the series.
And I love this fandom. So shiny, so chrome.
I’m thinking about running a contest/lottery. Everyone who recs a story (or leaves a comment on AO3 maybe?) gets a chance to win some sort of prize?
If you’re in the fandom (to any degree!), would you take part in something like that?
Sounds fun! Not much has been happening in the fandom as of late, but there are plenty of great people still around
I will spread this, defs
I just need a consistent art style and that damn documentary.
((EDIT: Should look a little less messy now))
thinking of redrawing this some time
It’s my birthday today, so obviously I’m using the opportunity to make my parents watch mad max 1979, since I can use that as an excuse and they’re not allowed to complain
My dad was being an asshole but my mum really enjoyed it once I explain what happened…. And we’ve just had a very drunken conversation about how most of the cast still look pretty damn good (especially Toecutter, Charlie and Johnny , apparently). Also she was totally up for listening to me rant about the film, even I tho I’ve had at too much to drink and I was just blabbering with no filter about how cundalini’s actor has seen my Instagram and supposedly likes my drawings of him (according to his son)
I feel like I need to put this here, since this is the only relevant birthday update to my side blog!
I posted this to the wrong blog sorry
“You approach different. Am I now your friend?”
I’m fairly certain Griffa from the Mad Max video game is Max’s old MFP partner Jim Goose, from the original film. As well as a physical resemblance - which might not count for much, considering the game’s Max is modeled on neither Tom Hardy or Mel Gibson - Griffa seems to have intimate knowledge about Max’s life before the apocalypse, both personal (his deceased family) and professional (his career as a cop). Griffa is also always wrapped tightly in bandages and silks - just as Jim Goose would be after having his body scorched at the hands of Toecutter’s gang in Mad Max. It’s also worth mentioning that Griffa is - surprisingly - one of few characters in the video game (other than Max) to speak with an Australian accent.
Griffa also makes several references to he and Max being (or having been) friends - something Max doesn’t have much of, but would certainly consider Goose one. It’s also interesting to note that while being severely burned in the original film, Goose did not die from his injuries.
Jessie, Jessie, Jessie. You’ve not got a sense of humor.
MMMMMMM YES
So my friend James/ pepito-panero decided he could summarise Mad Max 1979 based solely on what was on my blog. I’m not gonna lie, he did a fairly decent job, considering all he really has to go on is me screaming about the Armalites and Bronze and how I love them all.
Also, this bloody hilarious, please read it.
I FORGOT TO SHOW YOU THIS THING I BOUGHT AT A COMIC CON THE OTHER DAY
I’ve noticed a slight flaw with how I portray my muse…
