Absolutely hate it when minecraft stories portray villagers as stupid/inferior to the player/s 👎👎👎👎👎 Big thumbs down👎

Additionally — The recent decisions to portray the piglin as stupid, overly violent brutes are equally lazy and shallow. They don’t behave that way in-game. There are a lot of interesting ways you can explore both villagers and piglin, but instead the most boring and lame avenues are being chosen.

#minecraft #this is also why we also lowkey hate that they added the piglin brute #oh they added in a use for gold armor and allowed you to interact and barter with a new type of mob in exchange for slightly less defense #(or using up an inventory spot to carry some around and switch but we never do that)#but then in the very next snapshot update added in a new Aggressive version that would attack you No Matter What #because god forbid a player isn't consistently attacking things wherever they go #Mojang has such a problem with the 'but there has to be a scary monster!' mindset to these things despite the fact they seem to get upset a #at the idea players would even *think* of attacking the new mobs and animals they put in the game #even the new pale woods biome can't exist without a Scary Monster that has a bunch of new mechanics unique to it #and they kept pushing for the hostile mobs in there mob votes only to discover players refused to vote for them #you know #after the phantoms got added and the community was like heres some feedback to make this new mob better #and they went no you voted for it so its annoying to deal with forever #they pushed SO HARD for the iceologer #which sounded HORRID #and were so visibly annoyed when it lost #and then revealed that they hadn't even bothered to come up with ideas for the others or had any work done for the glow squid #(everything showed off in its video was made up and didn't even make it into the actual game)#because obviously they player base should want to attack something everywhere they go #at this point we're almost surprised they haven't updated the game to make iron golems hostile and attack you on sight #anyways with this mindset is it actually surprising that they keep making the piglins hostile/evil/dense in every spinoff they do

I truely think Wily could fix Bass’ “can’t listen to instructions” issues by giving him a tamagotchi.

You might say “but he wouldn’t care if it died or not so he wouldn’t learn anything” he would if Wily turned it into some kind of competition.

But also, Pat's colour palette just reminds me of a dentist's colour palette and now I'm thinking of a modern AU but Pat's a dentist and Achilles's an office worker or something who gets some company discount in Pat's dental clinic. Romance ensues probably.

You guys notice how Melinoe and Hypnos might be playing out a much lower stakes version what happened between Narcissus and Echo? It's less about a doomed unrequited love, and more about projecting a false image onto a person that prevents you from ever connecting with them.

In the story, Narcissus is lost and can't see Echo, but Echo sees him and falls in love with him. And instead of listening to what Narcissus actually said, Echo projected onto him what she wanted to hear, a love confession. The misunderstanding dooms Echo to heartbreak and Narcissus to his death.

Once Hypnos wakes up, or they somehow meet in a dream, Melinoe will realize she kind of built a version of Hypnos in her head that doesn't exist. But instead of letting things go south, she'd recognize that it wasn't fair to Hypnos or herself to assume this romanticized version of him was the real him and she'd get to know the real Hypnos, this goofy muppet of a god.

Maybe that could be the resolution to Echo and Narcissus' story too. Right now they're both the inverse of each other's curse. Echo can only live as the reflection of other people's thoughts and voices. Even when you try to help her speak you're still putting words in her mouth and projecting what YOU think she wants to say her own identity is more a construction of your assumptions. Meanwhile, Narcissus' own curse has him project his self-obsession onto us where we must be as into him as he is with himself now and is largely disconnected from others because of it.

To break their curses means their own sense of selves need to finally be righted, and they'd take in each other as who they are, rather than their own idea that doomed them.
